Anybody had/has a problem with the extra hair color option?

I tried this on Lydia but first of all the texture seems broken to me.

The problem I have is: I cannot remove the hair color to its default state (vanilla)

Besides most npc´s also got lydias hair color. Any solution on how to fix this?

Has anyone done a port of thehag tattoos?  If not.. would it be as simple as just creating the right folders and json files?  or is there more involved.

You'd have to extract them from the BSA, but I was able to just make a json to go with the loose Coenculi whatever tats and they work just fine.

Oh yea, I'm using those a lot... thank you very much for that btw =)   I actually like those better than thehag, but I need more variety.

Chipping in because i saw other people having this problem, if you use the latest RaceMenu 3-4-5 you won't get any face overlays because the developers had issues with decapitation effects causing game crashes. If you stick to 3-4-4 you'll be fine.

Just edit the NIIOVERRIDE.ini file to enable the face overlays again as has been pointed out in this thread dozens of times.

 

No need to stick to obsolete versions, but thank you for trying to help.

did a quick search but didn't see anything recent regarding this: does anyone else have a problem with slavetats not properly applying tattoos on custom followers when there's a change in mod loadorder, specifically when the custom follower's load order # is changed (ie mod is loaded or removed before the custom follower). this causes the tattoo to either

 

1. not appear properly (settings are saved, but just not visible--can fix by making a change or checking the Glow box for each tattoo area)

2. more drastically, it resets all the tattoo settings on the follower to NONE

 

i narrowed the cause down to changing the follower mod's load # (ie: follower mod is #145 and I add a mod before them so now follower mod is #146). this does not happen when load order is changed after the follower mod (ie: no change to follower mod #). it's probably something to do with jcontainers or whatever slavetats uses to store the tattoo information between loads. i have the same problem with sexlab Tools 3.0, where animation stages are saved, but animations themselves are rotated out of order in a custom animation if i do a clean sexlab registry after creating the custom animation.

It does work so something must have been off kilter when you tried it. If you've got it working though don't bother trying to change it again until you start your next play through though, the game gets really fragile when you start swapping mods around.

I seem to have a problem with SD+

When it enslaves, it tries to apply tats, and fails, spewing a list of complaints about corrupt json files (syntax error near end of file), with an error for every slavetat .json I have.

 

Well you might think my json files aren't there, or are corrupt, but they are present at the path in the error, and they seem to have perfectly valid json in them.

On top of which, S_L_U_T_S and SlaveTats itself have no problem with those json files.

 

Has anyone else seen anything similar? Is there a fix for this I can apply, something to do with jcontainers version perhaps?

My load order is from LOOT, and it seems ok in Wrye Bash too. All the versions are latest, and it's a clean(ish) save started with the same mods and order I still have.

I get the same error, bash patched, or not bash patched.

 

Does SD+ do its own reading of those files?

 

Is it something that I should take to the SD+ forum rather than here?

Has anyone else seen anything similar? Is there a fix for this?

Lots of people have seen something similar and have posted about it here. None have mentioned SD+ yet that I remember but base Slavetats has had the issue. No one could figure out what was causing it, but in all cases the tats still applied.

 

It sounds like your issue isn't with Slavetats but with SD+ method of applying them and you need to ask in that thread.

Be sure to know which file the plugin is referring. If it says a folder isn't a json file and can't be parsed, it's a benign error.

 

Exemple of benign error, it is saying "can't parse the file because it's empty". (Line 1 offset 0 is also the end of the file.)

 

[Error] Can't parse JSON file at 'DATA/TEXTURES/actors/character/SlaveTats/anal' at line 1:0 - '[' or '{' expected near end of file

 

If the file reported ends with .json, then that file wasn't parsed and skipped which would make any tats listed in that file unavailable. To fix the issue you simply need to properly format the file.

My errors look exactly like that posted by bicobus. No .json on the end of the path, and error at line 1:0

Wonder if this is a new bug introduced in JContainers 3.3.0 ... not sure if it's worth rolling back.

 

One thing though, SD+ never managed to apply any tats, so that seemed to indicate a problem there.

I have no idea why but whenever I add my own tattoos, the MCM doesn't load them. I followed the directions exactly and they just refuse to show up. Any ideas why?

Your json file is not valid. Send the text to a json evaluator and let it tell you where the problems are.

This has been asked and I believe there is a way someone found and documented earlier in the thread but it sounds a little messy and has a limit of its own.

What do i install?!? there are so many options i have no idea what i need to download or install. i assume all the dozen of files are for expansions of slavetats so do i add those inside the SlaveTats-1.3.0-beta-2 texture folder or something?

Everything but the _CN folder, which is the Chinese translation of the mod.
