Does MO tell the error or Skyrim? Is it during installation, in Skyrim start menu, before loading screen or after loading screen? Does it happen with new game or all saves? Screenshot could also tell something. Mod install order and load order both might reveal mistakes too.

You shouldn't have them unless you're running version 3.x or earlier. And the quests themselves were part of a separate esp, called Devious Deviants. That esp was removed from the download file. If you don't have that installed, you don't have the quests - although some of the assets the quests used (such as the forbidden bookcase and its key) are still part of the DDi esm. I can't say for certain which version removed them, because the mod description's change log only goes back a couple of versions now, but 4.0 is my recollection.
MightyBeardz Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 slaverun reloaded doesn't work with ddi 4.3 it needs 4.1, anywhere to get old versions?

boita Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Sorry if this is an already asked question (i searched and didn't find info), can you force open the the devices with spells ? use magicka to break free ? I feel like it was an option before

I feel like it was an option before Yes you could escape restraints through magic. If I am right ever since v3.0 they removed that. as Taki17 says Devious Lore uses your stats to help escape. mainly One-handed,two-handed, pickpocket, lockpicking and smithing. But no magic.

I installed the Dda, ddi, DDx. then loaded a saved file, the error kept coming up maybe every 2 min, during gameplay, it shows up a small window pausing the game. right now I am trying with a new game.
dgtsy Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 Would it be possible to add timer locks to DD items? ie: [ Lock it on! | Manipulate locks | Timed lock ] And if this is "easily" doable, I'm more than willing to poke around in some code. Thanks!
M1g17 Posted October 20, 2019 Posted October 20, 2019 So I just started the modding thing and I found your stuff and I've been trying to use it, but Every time I try use the DD equip thing to equip the gear, the collar goes on, the gag goes on, the armbinder appears, and then the rest of the character's body dissappears. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I used the BodySlide thing to add the equipment, but I really have no idea what I'm doing with that. I've added the gear via groups, I've batch added all of the body types but no bueno. I think I did the Papyrus thing correctly so please help! PapyrusUtilDev.log

PapyrusUtilDev.log 1.12 kB · 0 downloads My guess: Your talking about Devious Devices Equip? For DDe need: DDa DDi (you are here) DDx for DDe dwarven suit you also need: You find the bodyslide sliders for the dwarven suit in bodyslide group "unassigned" If anything else, other than the dwarven suit, creates a invisible body than: > your missing devious devices expansion (DDx) > you didn't build all files in bodyslide > installation or download went wrong

Thanks! Yes you can add timers to all devious devices. You can do this via the Creation Kit. If you have some knowledge in how to operate the Creation Kit you can do it yourself (I myself have very basic knowledge of the Creation Kit). I will give you a small example. I am assuming that you have the Creation Kit in your system. 1. open up the Creation Kit 2. Select either Devious Device Integration or Devious Device Expansion (my suggestion would be open up Expansion since it loads Integration as well along with it) 3. It will take some time to load...once it loads...you will get a new window within the CK called "Object Window" 4. Within the Object Window...search for "Armor" sub menu on the left hand side 5. there you will see a variety of Armor..but for this I will give an example a. I am going to edit the "Black Leather Cuffs" b. I search for it easily by typing "cuff" on the filter text box. The filter text box is located in the top left of the object window. c. you will see a variety of Armors with the work "cuff" in them, for this purpose I need the "Black Leather Cuffs", especially the arm cuffs..so I select it by double clicking on "zad_cuffsLeatherArmsInventory" d. Once I double click it ...I get a new window ..towards the bottom right of the window you will see "Scripts", there you will find a script by the name "zadRestraintArmsScript",double click on it or click on the "Properties" button next to it or right click on the script and click "Edit Properties" e. Once you do that. you will get a new Window..it is the Properties for the particular device. Here you will see various properties which you can edit. I haven't played around with some of the new properties ...but these properties be what you want to edit "Lockshieldtimermax, Lockshieldtimermin, Locktimermax, Locktimermin, Timedunlock." 6. make the changes which you want and save it. Hope this helps. 3

How do I correctly build the files in bodyslide? Like I said I really have no idea what I'm doing with it. Every tutorial I find seems to be for an old/outdated MO or Bodyslide.

A simple way is...when you download the rar file..try exploring it. you will find Core- Data- CalienteTools- BodySlide- SliderSets/Slidergroups Here you can identify what files have slider sets. Go to your Bodylide. Launch it. Once it launches. Search for the particular file by typing in the "Outfit Filter" in the top right corner or if you know the group name type in the "Group filter". Once you do either of those you will get that particular outfit/outfits which can be selected from the drop down box in the top left corner. Select what you want to build. If you have a single outfit then just click the check box in the bottom left "Racemenu Morphs" and then just click the "Build" button. If you have a group of outfits then go to the "Batch Build" button in the bottom left corner and there you can select and deselect outfits...and then click the "build" button. Hope this helps.

Hmm, so you're saying I have to individually put every single item on every single body I plan on using? One of the FAQ guides I tried said I would only have to use the "group manager" button to place the SliderGroups with the CBBE bodies I have and then Batch Build them. So I need to use the "Outfit Studio" button to make a bunch of different outfits?
M1g17 Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 I've been playing around with the "Outfit Studio" window and have been encountering some problems. I selected a body template, which brings up a model of the body with no head, hands and feet. Now the problem I'm encountering is when I load outfits. Some things like armbinders float behind the body and the arms just stay where they are. Is that okay? Also, when I load some things like dresses or other clothing, they usually just appear below the body in a pile. Am I supposed to figure out how to get the thing onto the body?

Bodyslide is different from Outfit studio. What you need to use is Bodyslide not Outfit Studio.

Just start Bodyslide from your Modmanager. Than this gif from @Risamei might help to understand the concept: 1. Choose Preset 2. Open Groups and choose Group and click on the Outfits you want to build 3. Tick "Build Morphs" 4. press Batch Build Spoiler And here the slider groups for DDa,x: EDIT: you can find more sliders of mods in the "unassigned" group, for example sliders for the dwarven suit, build the UNP ones for UUNP

Use batch build guys, building each individual item 1 at the time would be way frustrating and slow. Set all filters off, select right HDT body and preset, select morphs, click Batch build. Select options you want in your Skyrim build. => play... Know what, i might just make a video cause this is asked so much ?
Zaflis Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 Quick bodyslide tutorial. I toggled off a few armor conversions from nexus, but you do have to build them too at least once or if you change body preset. There are body presets available in nexus too, but be sure you download a HDT preset or it won't even show up in the list for that body. You can use group filters to narrow down the items you want to build but don't do the mistake that you narrow too much. You might miss some items you actually needed to build. bodyslide_tutorial_lowq.mp4
M1g17 Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Thanks for the video, but I still don't know what I'm doing wrong. When I hit the batch build button, all I get are the body types. I don't have any options for outfits in that menu. What am I doing wrong?

Have you installed CBBE or UUNP armors/restraints from the DD packages? They aren't zip files that can be just directly extracted, but there's a special FOMOD folder structure. But that's the case with loads of other mods too, like XPMSE, FNIS, Bodyslide and RaceMenu themselves... If you have Mod Organizer or Vortex you can install mods instead of extracting them.

I just have Vortex and used that to install everything. DD assets was a zip file and everything else was a 7z file.

Did you make sure that all filters are off in Bodyslide? And which main body and preset did you choose? If the issue continues, we will need loads more information or we can only guess things from you little by little. I don't actually think at this point that you are missing meshes or textures. In those cases you would propably see something far more distracting like triangle shapes or pink skins.

Yes, I turned off all of the filters, but I also noticed that your outfit/body dropdown menu had a lot more options than mine does. The only options I have in the dropdown menu is the various body styles. Yours had a bunch of clothes under the UUNP style as well. The main body I picked was CBBE Body HDT, the first preset I picked was CBBE Slim, but I also tried with CT77 Body. Since you will need loads more information, could you tell me exactly what you need? I'll get all the information you need.
