I have the same issue Galgat, and I know im using the correct armbinder. Unless someone else mentions otherwise, I believe its a limitation of how the mod applies the animation, but basically if the characters AI package tells it to idle, the idle will brake the arm animation. On top of that, if the character sprints for any reason, it seems to break the arm restraint as well.

It also seems many sex acts triggered by things as basic to matchmaker to more complicated scripts like submit, will break many of the items on other npcs. 

I assume this is because the intent of the mod and items are to be used on the main character, and dont function 100% when applying to other npcs yet.

The ropes are from Zaz Animation Pack and have different scripting.

 

Did you put on the armbinder from the console? That's a common error because there are two kinds of armbinders and only one will actually play the animation etc...

 

 

Nope I waited till I could make one, but also I never actually put it on, the bandits did. and it allways looks like this, which is bothersome :(

 

 I do also have the Devious Devices for the masses as well, and have allowed a pretty high Percentage for them having most every bondage gear.

 

I  Attached a .jpg if you wish to see it. It seems to be the bandits favorite thing to put on you after a rousting poke Her Match.

 

 

 

PS. : on the signature, thx U germanicus. I made that several years ago in poser, I actually do a lot of graphic work, but seldon post any of it ( Its not very good, I just enjoy doing it).

 

 

PS..Again SageBeat you may be right, but if engine is same as Oblivion, then it should really only break out during jumps, or sneak, and such.

 

I know my mods in oblivion hold very true during bondage except for jumping, and faling down, getting up. Providing the animation includes forward,fastforward, backward, leftTurn, rightturn. It should work as well as the rope bondage, which I think breaks during jumps.

 

 

There I posted a few images from one of my long winded storys I make, nothing special. but I have made many of them.

Will i have any problems with scripts, if i will change body part slots in nif-files and creation kit?

I chenged slots for padded cuffs. I thing it is work fine. But i am not good in you scripts

If the slot you changed it to overlaps with another DD item, you'll have problems. Aside from that, you should be fine.

What happens when you try to remove the armbinder? Does in unequip freely or is there some message box? (There should be a message box).

 

When you click "struggle" in that message box, does the struggle animation correctly play?

I don't know if it is this mod causing this but every time my PC is mining, there is a 'The belt makes your sitting awkward' thing... I think this is due to the mod not making difference between sitting and mining... could this be investigated ?

I have to have someone , a guard or morally good person take it off, that is the only way I can get it off., I mean I know enough, that yes I could console, but I don't do things like that, in other peoples mod's unless they tell me too.

 

  If I ever use the console to cheat my way through someone else's mod I will not come to there thread and ask for help. Because It would drive them crazy trying to figure out what was wrong, I know this from experience with people that love to use Setstage, or give them selves and Item before all the variables are set, and then wonder why latter on something does not work :)

 

   Its okay, I just wish there had been away to just do away with that item in the settings, until I could figure out what was wrong.  I am sure it is self inflicted somehow :(

when wearing the armbinder, if you hit the tab key (if you havent remapped it), do you get the text box which offers you to choose between "take it off, struggle, endure you bonds" ?

 

you need to "struggle" to be able to remove it, and it can TAKE A SHITTONE OF TRIES! you may need to do it over 20 times.

 

also, if after choosing "struggle" you get a text box instead of the struggle animation, it means you can choose the "take it off" on next try and you will be able to remove the armbinder.

Known problem.

 

Anything involving crafting/mining/sitting in Skyrim is governed by the same system, they all play "furniture" animations and scripts (even if a piece of furniture is not actually involved, like with mining), which normally does not cause any problems, but when you've got a mod that prints text related to sitting down when you use these things.. yeah, you get odd things like that text when mining, because ore-veins are considdered a piece of interactive furniture by the game-engine.

 

I don't know if the problem can be removed, but i'm fairly sure that even if it can, it's going to be very low on the priority-list of things to improve and fix, as it does not cause any problems, it's just a little janky. There are bigger fish to fry for the time beeing.

Nope. That is the best and easiest way to get it off, and if you are near a town or city where that's possible, then it's certainly the recommended way. 

 

But it's not the only way, you can also use the "struggle" option to get it off, but it takes time. The success chance with struggle is random, so you can get lucky that it comes off in just a few tries, but more likely, you won't be so lucky and it will take many tries, but eventually it will happen (you'll know it has succeed when you get a different textbox at the end of a struggle, and at this point, you can click the "take it off" function and remove it).

An extra note on struggling. Once you have loosened the bonds, you can still continue struggling, it just won't help any further. This is when you switch over to use the "Take off" option. Yes, I have missed the notice and kept struggling thinking I had to keep hitting that until it was all the way off.

but even i uninstall other mod for some reason DDI still won't load it

 

also i got DD:Expansion install it can DD:Expansion cause problem?

I don't think it is so difficult to solve. Just use some generic terms like 'You feel the belt annoying you while you do this...' or something like that, so the immersion isn't broken by wrong words.

Finally got time to use the new version. Absolutely awesome! After hours' test, I have some questions:

 

1. It seems that there are two types of effect/events, one is polled periodically. Even if you stand still doing nothing this will still happen. The other type is when you take specific action, like casting a spell for soulgem plug, the plug will immediately response.

 

Is it true that only the first type (periodic event) works for both NPC and PC, while the second type only works for PC? I equip one follower with training plug and make her only casting spells in combat, but seems no vibration.

 

2. Is there any behavior from the NPC that will voluntarily trigger the effect of any kind of plug? Other than using the devious xxx spell? I also test the inflation plug and make the NPC sit down. Seems no event happens.

 

 

3. It seems that the training/chargeable soulgem plug does not work for NPC. Still using a follower to test, for training plug I wait for 7 days; for chargeable soulgem I wait 1 hour for 30 times. Seems nothing happens. For PC these two tests will guarantee a corresponding event happening.

I keep getting a failed quest message on " remove the belt off before I lose my mind".. how did I fail, nd what does that mean?

 

that means your vibrator settings is to high set it to low or something and remove the belt its a never ending thing if you get a new belt put on you get the quest to do it again to remove before losing your mind its nothing to worry about

DDi clearly didn't initialize then.

 

Mods like Helpless and Expansion relies on DDi to function, so it makes perfect sense that those will also fail to launch right if DDi doesen't, that's to be expected. So the real problem is that DDi didn't start (if it doesen't even have an MCM menu after a few minutes, then something got the wrong foot out of bed, something got busted when the game was started.. eh, that can happen sadly).

 

Try starting a new game (or if this was on an existing save, then from a save before you loaded DDi), but this time load only DDi and it's requirements (ZaZ:AP, SL, Aroused, DD:Assets, then DDi), wait for MCM to register their menues, then save and quit. Load that save again, and verify that DDi is properly initialized (go into the DD menu under events and effects, if it's initialized properly, all the polling events should now be displayed there in a big list), then save and quit again. And only then start loading other DD mods into the loadorder, they should now work when DDi has started up properly.

Before all I want to say thank you for this great job, for all developers who create and update all this mods. I know how hard it is.

Actually I have a little issue with devious devices, it works well on the PC but not on NPC. For exemple each time I add a gag or an armbinder on my follower it works until she run and her armbinder become disabled. Her arms are free (with invisible hands) and do like she didn't have any restrain.

I removed all mods and reinstall all again in a clean game folder and clean save but I still have this issue. I realy don't know what to do now, so I hope you can help me.

One thing I noticed, which Tes5Edit helped me to sort out is that Sexlabs, must load before devious devices.

 

  and the order of the mods seems very important, I Mixed and matched until they ran before I started using Tes5Edit. It now seems to reason out what needs to be before or after with most ESM files, I am not so certain that it properly sorts ESP, but seems to do very well with masters.  ( BY the way it does not sort them, just informs you which ones need to be before or after, you need to do that your self)

 

   I use mod Organizer, and if you use tes5edit with It, you will have to load Tes5Edit from Mod Organizer. the Gear icon in mod Organizer is where you will find the menu to add Tes5Edit or any other Utility that you need to run on your Profiles in mod Organizer.

If you are using my mic project, you will not be able to equip calypsia's strapon while wearing a belt or a vaginal plug.

 

I'm not using MIC mod and I can't have the strapon equipped while the belt is equipped.

 

Do these equipments share the same slot ?

 I have a question:  I completed the quest in Devious devices pryor to installing the expansion.

 

After installing the Expansion.

 

I see a few new Items in crafting MISC, and the new crafting material, but none of them need the new crafting material.

 

Is the Devious smithing perk retro active, or will I have to restart, and do it all again.

 

I was sort of expecting to see something flashy, and new :)

 

 

 

EDIT::: BY the way...

 

 I finally fixed the ArmBinder. If it helps anyone here I will try to explain what I did.


1. I just restarted this Game, so Behind times on many things. I installed ModOrganizer.

2. Like most people I did not read much, just installed, and started clicking buttons.

3. while trying to get HDT to work, I stunbled on the NMM copy over part of Mod Oganizer as I had to install 10-28 I think it was with NMM, and then with Organizer bring it to my Profile.


4. WHAT I found: I had left the Mods ticked in NMM, so I was actually running 2 of everything, Or at least that is what I think was happening. I unchecked all the mods in NMM, and everything seems fine now.


5. But. It could have been my installing HDT, I did both at the same time so I can not be sure just which one fixed it.


6. But I can say the Arm binders work now, and the animations for struggle seem fine as well.




Now A QUESTION:: What am I missing to get the Expantion boots to work. I installed HDT from this link

MY appologies! I did read a lot of stuff, I have been actually doing more reading than playing here of late, as I am playing catch up on a lot. I just missed that part, I originally did not install the expansion, because the doc said that it would not work for the body I was using, but latter as went back again for more understanding,  and found that the expantion would work with UNPB.

 

  But In the game, I only stubled onto this when I tried to put on the booties I had made.

 

And your in game text incert only said I did not have HDT, so I instantly went, and got HDT. I was puzzled after that..Very sOrRy!

I'm not sure what that promt is a part of, it could be comming from HHS directly, or it could be part of DDi or DDx. If it is part of DDi or DDx, then it could certainly be changed to read "HDT-HHS" instead of just "HDT", that would make it a lot more clear, but if it's part of HHS, then there's not much that i can do about that.

 

As you can probably inferr from the above, i'm not the guy who added the promt, infact i had no idea it even existed untill just now :lol:

I've only been involved with DDx since it made the jump from v1.0 to v1.1.

 

 

EDIT: And it's been fixed. Srende has worked his scripting magic, so from version 1.1.2. of DDx (the next planned release), the error prompt will now say "HDT-HHS" instead of just "HDT" to avoid any confusion :)

Yup, the old error message was rather ambiguous: It's been fixed (Thanks Srende), and will be included with the next release.

 

The expansion is essentially an "Unofficial Assets" pack. At the moment, it adds Slave Boots, the two harness variations, and a whole class of retextured latex (Called Ebonite, in game) devices. The perk will apply retroactively.
