So.. Starfield...

Combat seems kinda lackluster and with no real impact from what I've seen, so that's not good. Aesthetics aren't really my thing, either, with the space suits kinda looking with what we have right now. An astronaut wielding an SMG just doesn't work that well, in my opinion. But we did see some more heavily armored soldiers / guards in the trailer, so we'll have to wait and see. Character creation looks great so far, no voiced protag is also a plus in my book, seems like they've learned from FO4.

The trailer didn't convince me but I'm probably still going to buy it day one because Bethesda games, despite their flaws, are ones that I really enjoy and they have zero competition on the market, much like FromSoft and their games.

Huge Potential.

First thing, for roleplayers, it offers an adult game in a civilized hightech setting.

Sex in space. Microgravity is a thing so not sure how sex in zero g would work out for animators.

High tech sex toys, machines, and bondage.

Alternative means of punishment for crimes against society or a faction than imprisonment, fines, or death.

Aurora made to have sexual effects with some sort of arousal framework.

Erotic cybernetic implants

Sex with various alien life and robots

Quest wise there could be a pirate group that specialized in human trafficking.

Sex mod shops on Neon that make illegal modifications and rope people into prostitution.

On the lighter side, what would dating be like 300 years in the future?

Flight model looks arcadey plane-in-space like. Disappointing. I expect a toggle or a mod that adds Newtonian movement to space combat, otherwise I might as well not bother.

I am hyped

the trailer was cool and I really liked the gameplay clips

I will definitely buy the game

it's something I have waited for a long time

I give it a week, maybe 2 weeks until somebody makes a nudity mod for it.?

Truthfully though I'm hyped because Bethesda is going old school.  NO voiced protagonist, NO huge radiant quests.  Nope full RPG aesthetics.  Something tells me Bethesda has been taking advice from Obsidian and even went as far as to ask, "so, why exactly did New Vegas despite its bugs still considered the most favorite of the Fallout RPGs?"  And Obsidian will answer, "oh that's simple; we actually made Fallout New Vegas an RPG like it was designed for, not a Borderlands clone."  That's the only thing that usually keeps me away from Fallout 4 on occasion.  New Vegas was an actual RPG, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 to a certain extent was a looter shooter with a Fallout skin.

Also, whole planets to mess around with. You brought up a lot of stuff I hadn't considered though.

Yeah, assuming the game isn't a massive flop (which I don't think it will be),I think it could be as big as The Elder Scrolls or Fallout as far as mods are concerned.

I would like to see a torei inspired faction in the game ? Glossi did write a wonderful cyoa for this. Full of bondage/Slavery and what not ... 9 women on 1 man. Man are superior and almost everyone there is into slavery or gets drawn over debt into it ... If you are a so calle "freewomb" you might call yourself one of the luckier ones?.

One thing to mention ... laminate or what we call latex is the only used fabric on this Planet :D

One can do lots of different societies that have adult themes to them. A simple one would be through genetic modification allowing women to give birth to daughters via pathogenesis creating all female societies, or in a sort of an opposite case, emphasizing the traditional gender roles to create something that is male dominant (for those harem lovers). Could have a society that emphasizes self expression and everyone goes all out on looking like anything and doing it with anyone. Could have a society of drone/sex slaves run by an AI dominant overload.

Humans like the ice cream orgasms. Eat the ice cream. Orgasm again.

Because Starfield has such a big map (and big space stations not ruled out yet), one can have a reasonable SOD that there are isolated colonies, much like the Vaults of Fallout, where various society experiments were run, new governments experimented with, and strange interactions with alien life.

Really, no idea is too crazy here.

There is? Where?

The OP's date is wrong unfortunately. Starfield got delayed to the first half of next year to get more polished. Both Bethesda and MS want it to have a good launch. If it matters, most rumor/analysis I have picked up is saying March, but could be till June.

Hmm, personally I really wish Bethesda stuck to their ideal of, "it get released when its done," like they used to.  Giving a game deadline to release is sometimes its kiss of death.  We saw that with Fallout 76 and Cyberpunk 2077.  As I've said before, "good gamers are willing to wait, bad gamers wait for no one and everyone suffers due to a rushed/inferior game due to their impatience."

I think Todd and BGS really REALLY wanted that sexy 11/11/22 date and were pushing for it. Then uncle Phil has a visit and decides the game needs more polish because he is serious about wanting Starfield to be the most played game ever (to increase Gamepass subs) and made the call to delay the game. This really is the right call, not only for the players to get a better game, but also better sales will justify more DLCs, and less crunch and burn out of BGS devs and QA.

This might be a stretch here. I think Todd and them are probably thinking and expecting the modding community to come in and fix things. Like fix the bugs, make the combat better add more content to all the planets and so on. Just like how modders came in and added more content, fixed bugs for skyrim fallout etc.

To be fair, it was leaked recently that the main reason Fallout 76 was so bad and seemed like it was a game that was thrown together as if nobody really wanted to work on it is because that's exactly what it was. Basically they saw the money that Fallout Shelter brought in, and then the higher ups got greedy and decided that they wanted that kind of money for other games, and then everyone else was basically forced to work on and maintain the new Fallout abomination that nobody really wanted. That's why Fallout 76 came out like a steaming "soft serve" turd, as I understand things.

It wouldn't be the first time (by design or just happened that way) but if they want a big release, Beth has to come out of the box pretty clean.   Looking at the list of top game sales, Skyrim is the only one of Beth's games that broke into the top 50.    Modding community would need time to fix things.

And here I was thinking there was no way to get Rule 34 into this game. Well I should know better.

No mod support, no buy. Bethesda being Bethesda, it'll be buggy for yrs to come. With the introduction of Creation Club a few yrs back, it's obvious they know mods keep them alive & will want to make you pay for it. Pay for game, pay for mod? No buy as well. I am not made out of money & I don't live in fancy rich countries where people throw away their money so easily.

They did tried their hands on Doom, Rage & Wolfenstein with stunning success, it is possible this game might be one of the lesser buggy ones. But then again, broken releases are the norm now & Bethesda being Bethesda, game-breaking bugs are to be expected.

Hard to make something good, especially a work of art, if one has no passion for it.  Starfield will be the opposite, at least for Todd and the senior developers, and from what I have seen so far it shows.

And I'm just getting started, at least with mod ideas. Starfield will be the game where I will actually try my hand at making mods. I'm eager to learn what scripting language they use so I can start practicing it.

Right now, I'm thinking of a companion who is a member of the Crimson Fleet. She through coercion (I am a Maria Eden / Submissive Lola fan) forces the player to join the Crimson Fleet faction. This would be a way for a "good" person to join the bad guys without being a double agent, though that path I would try to keep open. Other than that she acts as an abusive Dominatrix, training the player in the ways of submission, whoring them on Neon, and other fun activities.

You can bet your ass that it will be a modified version of papyrus.
