"What are you playing" thread

Recommended Posts

Since i'm on vacation, i thought i'd spend time on something that takes a lot of time and don't want to waste limited gaming time.

Therefore, Subnautica. Got that i got after i got VR headset, but then never really played it. Very pretty game, very awesome creatures.  Bit hard to keep up where i've explored, with the underwater geometry with huge depth differences.

Finished it in just few days. I'd buy the sequel, but Steam is bugging out at the moment.

May need to play it again in VR with the survival mechanics, feels like i cheated by playing on Freedom :classic_blush:

Pathfinder - Kingmaker, because I'd like to actually finish it before their next game comes out. Chapters 1 & 2 are fine, but Season of the Bloom - although a good premise - is horribly executed, and there are several chapters after that. I like the mechanics and don't mind the "random spikes". But their writing is all over the place. Also would like to finish Skyrim main quest before the ten years is up, (10,000+, hours and still haven't been bothered to do it - ps horrible game, don't play it?).

Well today I recently played Scarlet Nexus, really enjoying this game right now since I'm a big fan of Bandai Namco games. And I also played Rachet & Clank Rift Apart the story is so good and the game is fun to play it's still the same as the old one thus I like the Rachet and Rivet ship on the game.

Well that sucked.

A bit too strong perhaps, but just not as good as the original.

Now i wonder if there is a similar game where i'm allowed to DEFEND MYSELF AGAINST THE GIANT MONSTERS TRYING TO EAT MY ASS OFF!

I'd love to play that one, but PS5's don't exist ?

Loved the remake of the first game on PS4. It has always been one of my favorite series. I do have a working PS2, so maybe i should replay Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal :classic_happy:

That's exactly where I am. Updated Kingmaker to new version and now the only 2 mods I used no longer work. ☹️ I'll be sorting that out tomorrow/later today.

Just finished Solasta which I really enjoyed.

Yeah If it's available on PC I will buy it for that but I think Sony's not gonna let that happen. But hey I also wanted to play the old one "Rachet and Clank Size Matters" like the one I have on my old PSP, but that handheld console of mine is dead for a long time now and need to be fix. Don't want to forget those lovely memories with it, I still got my PS2 too but it's on the display case now didn't want to touch it because it's rare these day. Oh and you said you got PS2? If you ever played Project Zero a.k.a Fatal Frame well it's got a great story for a horror game and it's one of my favorite horror game in PS2 ;)

I tried to get back into the game during the Eula banner (stopped playing around Christmas), but uninstalled 30 minute later after getting Qiqi and had no more pulls left. I like the visuals, characters and the story, but there are too many gameplay mechanics I don't like.

Can relate, last time I stopped playing was because I got Qiqi on Xiao's banner. Now I pulled on the new guy banner and got him, game has been fun for me since then.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox. Not surprising, given I started playing Vanished Omens back in '87 and I've been hooked ever since. This is the first title where the characters actually swear and deals with more "adult" issues like moral ambiguity, freedom of choice, and the consequences of good intentions. I'll be disappointed if no urinalist tries to make a fuss about about Raging Bull being a busty, attractive woman in a scanty outfit (and that's without her DLC "Holstein Farm" costume). Or how the White Cat stops giving out free coins after she learns her attempts to better the lives of those in the Shantytown are only encouraging people not to work at all.

Just Cause 3. I find it a nice, relaxing, casual game about blowing military bases up with tanks, helicopters and whatever else :classic_happy:

Shame they screwed up the fourth game.

All the cool people from the team made Biomutant.

And seven years later, i finally finished Alien: Isolation :classic_laugh:

The art style and sound design are very authentic to the movie, it's the gameplay i have a problem with. Unpredictable insta-kill monster and checkpoint saving system. I understand it's supposed to build fear and tensions, but for me it's just an annoyance.

Oh well, done with it finally. And did it on hard too, so i didn't just wuss my way trough it :classic_cool:

Okay, what's next in the "Really should finish now that i have the time" list? Factorio and Oxygen Not Included? Well, that would take a lot of time. Maybe i'll just replay Subnautica for the third time this month ?

The one Alien game that was faithful to the feel and look of the original movie. I can't say I was that annoyed by the alien. I just had to remember to look up and see if there were any of those square holes in the ceiling the creature just loves to hide in. But the save system? Yeah, that was just dumb when you can die a hundred ways between save points.

Sometimes Tera online, but it's dying. Most new players are either alts or they quit the game after a day or two. Can't blame them, the fastest way to level up is to queue for a dungeon, and queues are mostly dead because of lack of new/low level players.

Also modded Rimworld again, it never gets boring. WELCOME TO THE RICE FIELDS MOTHERFUCKER

Well, Devolver delivers another great indie game again. Death's Door this time (Xbox trailer, but it's on Steam too). A Legend of Zelda type game where you play as a little crow with a glowing sword and reap souls of things.

Awesome art style, and beautiful music. Story does it job, but is really nothing special. A great game for it's price. A bit short perhaps, and the "True Ending" requires pretty much just chores and there's no "True End Boss" for that end. The main story does, of course.

Loved it the first time, and started to replay it right away after finishing :classic_happy:

I finished a 2nd playthrough of A Plague Tale: Innocence. I liked it more than expected, and I'm looking forward to the sequel next year. I picked it up during the Steam Summer Sale, but you can get it for free at Epic Games Store starting August 5th.
