LieutenantPaladine Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 @Kimy, Did you change anything for the demo station in Riverwood?

Or atleast all of those in riverwood. I should poke around later with load order, maybe... something fecky is going on ?

Nah, it's probably "This code looks clean, I don't think I need to test it" syndrome. I...will just fix it and pretend it didn't happen. 2
Jappa123 Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Is this the final version for DD5? If so I hope we can see SE version soon, I've seen some people already convert it but didnt publish it yet.
Kimy Posted September 5, 2020 Author Posted September 5, 2020 Version 1.5a - Fixed: Scaling works properly now. I hope. 1
Kimy Posted September 5, 2020 Author Posted September 5, 2020 Here is the fixed file for v1.5a, so you don't have to download the entire thing again. Just drop it in the data/scripts folder: zadcFurnitureScript.pex 3
Yukitemi Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 No, there's definitely something fecky doing on. Are you sure it's on your end? So I was breton and was shrinking down(still do), so I showracemenu myself into nord. And now as a nord i'm... getting bigger? hm...

Back in the 9th page is this hidden "super secret" ? : On 6/18/2020 at 6:58 PM, Kimy said: That's already the case. There is a test zone in DDC called "DDCTestZone". The demo is considered deprecated and will no longer be updated. I probably will remove it from the download section with the next version. It was really just meant as a quick introduction to DDC and to allow people to go somewhere in the world and play with furniture devices, without having to use the console first. Would be worth adding it in description and readme. Other way is open it up in TES5Edit and look for cells that mod provides. Console command to get in there should be (unless caps matter, i don't think they do for any console command): coc ddctestzone
Zaflis Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 And minor testing results in the test zone: - Restraint Post doesn't have struggle animations. - Player scales taller and taller after each lock-in. I found the entrance door to be good measure spot; first when i arrived i was a head shorter than the doorframe. After around 4 furnitures i'm taller than the doorframe. Furnitures themselves seem to align very correctly with joints though. (Was not clean save)
t.ara Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 As some new assets are build on existing animations, they do not yet support animation without struggle, or struggling. I´m not sure if it is a good idea to bind the TESTZONE to the skyrim world. Maybe you want like to discuss it. It´s of course no problem, you could think about, which area of tamriel would be a cute "PASS" into the "DD-world"-so I can take care in future;-))) (ZAP´s-World has it´s entrance behind the honey-brew-houses, where the rocks meet the forest-it will never disturb and the player can go there easily by a walk) (the DDc zestzone is for now only a QUICK solution and my mind is spending me different more interesting ideas-I would create soon something more suiting for the DD-series) If it would be my descision, I would personally delete the stuff from the riverwood-location. Alternatively I could offer a HOUSE in tamriel, which is holding the first stuff for DDc. And if the mod is growing bigger, we can think about t again-only some ideas:-) There´s this large valley with the river pointing down if you look standing from whiterun down there...maybe I can find a map...one moment.. We blow away the funny ugly tower - ruin, put the few soldiers into tents for guarding around there and build a sweet home on it´s place-lol - away from that: in fact there´s enough place for such a building
Kimy Posted September 6, 2020 Author Posted September 6, 2020 Yeah, the demo was just made to give people quick access to some furniture devices to test and play with. I have no plans to further develop or maintain it, and as DDC matures towards being stable, I am likely to remove the demo from the download page.
Kimy Posted September 6, 2020 Author Posted September 6, 2020 It just occurred to me that I probably put the wrong file in the download archive. Can anyone confirm that the single script file update I provided on the last page (zadcFurnitureScript) fixes the scaling issue (or confirm that it's still broken). Because I am at a loss why the problem persists....

But there is a problem with a new feature in 1.5, that I hope(d) would be fixed with the script I posted.

Yukitemi Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 3 hours ago, Kimy said: Can anyone confirm that the single script file update Neither for me, I tried both download from main page and here. But by my observations when I'm breton im getting smaller, when I'm nord im getting bigger. When I'm breton male... I don't change, when I'm high elf male I'm getting bigger... and so on. So that led me to conclusion that this is probably has something to do with how skyrim heights work with different races and genders. For example I'm breton female and even tho my racemenu height says 1 my actual scale is 0.95. IF you have an imperial character your *actual* scale will be 1. If nord fe\male - 1.05... and so on. That's why some character are getting bigger and some smaller, and some don't change if you're imperial for example. Here's page on wiki https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Races
Kimy Posted September 6, 2020 Author Posted September 6, 2020 Version 1.5b - Removed: The scaling feature has been disabled. 1
Kimy Posted September 6, 2020 Author Posted September 6, 2020 Right, I might look into this further down the road. Scaling is apparently less intuitive than expected, and I don't want a broken DDC version around.
t.ara Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I guess if you spawn a furniture for the use, it is not scaled after the spawning specially?!?... I would check out if the vanilla race-to-scale is helpful, if added into the activator´s script-list-if it´s code suits to the activator as well as to furnitures.
