Damo Suzuki  was only singer of Can from 1969 to 1973 (was the second and best singer of Can)

1989  a new album ( the 12th LP )
1999 a last concert
2017 Holger Czukay and Jaki Liebezeit dead

2001 Michael Karoli dead
2018 a Philharmonic concert in honor of Can

2021 David Johnson dead
A documentary film was released in 2023

Only one founding member is still alive, Irmin Schmidt

I was speaking from a UK perspective. That sort of prog/experimental stuff always had a larger audience on mainland Europe.

Not a person, but it seems a certain super tall blonde female's association with the 'official' country music industry.  Not that she needs them with the currency she's amassed, but anyway.
