Does anyone else have trouble with the Advisor mod overwriting the vanilla voice?  It shows up when creating new race and even the sample voice activates when choosing it, but vanilla advisor just fires up as soon as I start the game..

I've only gone as far as starting the game, but from initial investigation, the only things that will need to change are the leader traits, as "ruler" is no longer a leader type. Each trait will have to be evaluated to see if it needs a corresponding ruler effect. As always, paradox is awesome at providing documentation, so they literally gave a guide on how to create traits in the folder.

I very much recommend Irony Mod Manager - easy installation of mods, handling of load order, and conflict resolution.

Techs seem to still appear but their weight modifiers will need a rewrite as there's only head scientist now and the check for having correct trait is now "has_trait_in_council = { TRAIT = (trait here) }"

Haven't gotten to play Paragons yet, main PC is down for parts.  Is there potential for "Lustful Paragons"?  IE Renown/Legendary Paragons that have traits/stories/etc that synergize well with the LV atmosphere such as a breeder paragon that "encourages" pop growth?

Oh absolutely. It seems really simple to implement, actually. Sometimes they just pop up at you, sometimes it's an event chain.

Maybe a master courtisan council position that centers around sex jobs? Or a slave master for slave jobs?

If it's of anybody help/interest to Lithia or anybody else, I've started playing around with Stable Diffusion as I have zero artistic skills myself and the anime style that most others are using doesn't appeal to me.  I'm fortunate enough to have multiple computers with decent enough GPU's for good generation times.  My plan was to make some portraits and room mods myself, but so far I haven't gotten to the actual making a mod stage, I just keep thinking of more images to make as that's the easiest part.  LOL.  I've cranked out almost 5,000 images at this point.  But now I need to weed out more of the trash ones, and convert them into something useable for Stellaris.

 

So, that was a long winded way of saying, if there's anybody on here that's more art inclined and just lacks the interest/resources in using Stable Diffusion themselves, I'd be happy to generate images for you.

*claps* ok out of curiosity and feel free to call me an idiot if it is stated somewhere obvious or what I am asking is stupid but what are the chances that I can play LV with the new DLC? Am I going to have to wait for a patch or will stellaris not care?

There's never really any harm in just trying to play the new update with the mod active, if it crashes then you have your answer. But honestly, I think the mod should at least be playable with the new update, it's just that everything related to leaders wont work.

stelaris won't care past throwing a warning, but LV won't work with leaders. AFAIK from reading the buffs to leaders will just fail to apply, but take a shot and see what explodes i guess. hopefully just your virtual enemies.

I've played a pretty modest way into a game (not exactly sure how long, 50+ years) things have generally worked rather well.  The only exception being that the occasional voice line related to the new council, obviously, does *not* use the LV voices, and there was a thing where I kept having a crash *right* at the start after immediately checking my LV in-game options then clicking back to the council screen, but I'm honestly not sure if that had anything to do with LV or if it was just a general expansion bug.  

 

Eventually I made a new game and, after modifying my options just kind of... waited an in-game day or two and I haven't had the problem happen again for the rest of the playthrough.

So far, what I know is:
Scientist traits work fine (Zoophile, Sadistic, etc.)
Ruler traits don't because there aren't any Rulers anymore - so when you get the sexbot companion event, give her to the scientist!
LV jobs work fine, LV worlds haven't had problems, the insane pop growth still causes mid-to-late-game stuttering if you let a planet go over 500 pop (no change there), even Tentacle Festivals still work (except that bit about Ruler traits).

A civic for Authoritarians for your Council to also double as your harem. Bonus points if it comes with a way to ensure all leaders (except maybe your Ruler) all spawn as a specific gender.

Would love a true harem civic. Perhaps gves governors aa trait that gives them affects based on the number of species present.

I for one, always turn the rest of the galaxy into a harem for my primary species. Genemod them all to be female, when I use this mod.

Or a perfect Harem Girl (?) trait event. So some sensual Advisers and some harem politics for autocratic  rulers. And you can send them some dipolomats advisers and one pop to another empire as "gift" for raising relations and other things?

Personally, I want more options for if you use an all-male or all female species. Like certain evolutions that work with males of other species or females of other species. Basically, a gay or lesbian trait.

I haven't played a lot as I've been working on portraits but I haven't noticed any totally game breaking issues.  But as Persson said, anything related to leaders likely won't work.

I would really love to see something done with the government council meeting rooms, there seems like all kinds of lewd opporunities here. Have a meeting room that looks like a sci-fi harem chamber filled with cushions and draperies; or a tentacle pit with helpless victims sticking out of the walls; or a scene at the galactic market slave auction; or a high tech research room with the leaders floating in giant test tubes. 

 

In terms of the leaders themselves, you could get really ambitious and find a way to have lesser leaders serve members of the council, anywhere from slave assistants to personal entourages/harems. I have no idea how much of a pain in the tuckus it would be to try to put something like that together, but one of the things about this last update that makes me most sad is that I don't get nearly as many opportunities to clearly see the character portraits (that I work so long making for my personal mods. Hell, I quit the game for awhile when they changed the planetary interface so that pops were no longer front and center. Anything that makes the members my little leader harem get more facetime is a big plus in my book.
