This one was mostly focused on things I felt were a problem after playing a few games myself, with some other random things like the assets. The next one will focus mainly on tentacles (yes again!) since I had lots of fun playing the ck2 tentacle dreams mod recently. Also I am not working a secret paragon, nope. 16

But alas - risen from the conquered worlds of ck2, soon(tm) to be taken to the dark skies of Stellaris. Will continue lurking with great anticipation upon the fateful rise of our new Tentacled overlords. \o/

Thanks for the update, I have been holding off playing the new dlc until some of the oddities were fixed. I am conflicted though. More tentacle content for LV is exciting, but I also realy want to see that CK3 mod now. We basically need another Lithia at this point. Maybe two more.

I can't really say how long it will take, especially since lv will remain my main project, but it is something I'll actively be working on! I'll probably make a new topic in the ck3 part of LL soon to share any significant progress I make. As for lv, and after listening to some feedback, I will focus on the trait rework for the next update. And not a paragon ofc. The squishy tentacles will have to wait until the one after that ? 13

Doing both CK3 and LV is huge, so keeping expectations realistic, but will be looking forward to new playthroughs when they take to the stage. m(__)m (Like Oz, also super hyped about CK3 tentacles, even as much as I already love LV. Personally though, think the trait rework for LV (being the smaller project) should probably take precedence; I'm still holding off on the paragon DLC update until LV's integrated with it. lol) 1
Yorushin Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 It would be nice if some of the repeating events like sex industry/xeno prostitutes/etc were one-off events, or at least fired every 10 years or something. As is, early game their contribution is useful, but late game is an annoying message that pops up repeatedly. I think since they're themed to be on-going, redesigning them into a new policy you can choose to do would be the best call.
Pekpuuu Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 I've played this mod for a bit now and found a few bugs/weird choices. Sexology is the only tech from the main sex job branches that requires access to a rare resource. Meaning you can't even get access to base sexology labs without gas. Exhibitionist still increases leader level cap, even though that mechanic has been removed from the game. Milk cow upkeep doesn't seem to exist. Milk cows aren't considered a sex job, balance wise this sounds sensible but sex crazed and lewd mind dropping milk cow production while sexually inept and seasonal breeders increase it doesn't really make sense theme wise. Shattered pleasure ringworld doesn't force you into ring world habitability or disable guaranteed habitable planets. Sexopolis and pleasure ring worlds don't really work with hive minds because you have no jobs for energy. Nurture drones produce way too many amenities, with sex job based traits I had around 70 per drone. This seems to be caused by using the weight modifier as a multiplier of production: scripted_modifier_job_weight_mult, same error seems to be true for rod_temple_initiate_drones, though I haven't used them. Balance of course is a bit wonky with sexopolis and pleasure ring world being much better than even the old ring world start from the base game, but balance doesn't seem to be the focus. Maybe a boost to happiness to all pops without the trait, extra production from milking jobs (since they are better at draining cum), a synergy bonus on self with the Dominant trait (milking boost++), and a synergy bonus with other pops with the submissive trait (happiness++). As an aside, is there a way to reduce the frequency of event pop ups like the xeno prostitution "Tax them like the rest", prostitution boom pop up etc? I have a pretty fast rig that does nearly 1 month every 2 seconds at max speed even into the midgame, so seeing these pop ups several times a minute pausing the game is problematic. I tried disabling events in the setting but it doesn't stop these building based event from brothels, alien zoos etc. A setting to increase the duration of the effects so they trigger less often would be great. I think they last like 2 or 6 months, triggering again once the effect expires. A setting to up the duration to 1 or 5 years would be ideal. Just a minor annoyance, nothing major. Great mod, absolutely love it. Thanks for the incredible contribution!

Yes, if you go under edicts, there is a menu popup you can trigger that allows for turning on and off a number of options including those event popups.

Like I said in my original post, I tried disabling them but it doesn't stop the building events from triggering. It stops the other events from triggering, but not the building events

onevillageidiot Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) LV 0.7.3 feedback. Traits are kinda screwy right now, and it mostly has to do with how LV Traits interact with Milk Cow jobs. Some rare resource producing LV traits work right, others don't. Sex-Crazed trait is a -7 trait that is supposed to give +50% to sex jobs and -50% to non-sex jobs, and yet it says Milk Cows are a non-sex job, so it gets a -50% output malus. I think Milk Cows should at least be ignored instead of getting that malus. Rare Resource traits and Milk Cows: What is applying to Milk cows: Neuron Saliva (research), Exotic Honey (motes), Aphrodisiac Milk (zro dust), Fizzy Milk (gases). What is not applying to milk cows: Nanoforge Womb (living metal from LV jobs), Addictive Cum (dark matter), targeted Pheromones (gases), Aphrodisiac Cum (zro dust). Not sure if applying to Milk Cows: Lush-Tech Synth Womb/Sex-Bots/Omni-Seed Fabrication Modules (Nanites, but I don't have enough robots in my test empire to actual do Milk Cow jobs). One thing I've noticed is that all the Resource traits working for Milk Cows, all provide a bonus to milk cow output. But if they just say Sex Jobs Output bonus, then they don't provide resources for Milk Cows. I apologize if this was already known, I didn't see anywhere else to put this. EDIT: oh, and all the LV traits that give "+# food to milk cows", don't switch to providing minerals instead for Lithoid Milk Cows, even though Lithoid Milk Cows primarily output minerals. But I consider this less of an issue, as the food output is the only way for Lithoids on a Tentacle World origin build to actually get food to activate the Tentacle Festival planetary decision.
