Would it be possible to make a compatibility patch for Imperious - Races of Skyrim? Redguards have unlimited stamina outside of combat due to the Nomadic Heritage spell effect. From what I can tell it works by increasing stamina regen by an absurd amount. If I set the struggle difficulty slider to max in Devious Lore's MCM, the Stamina bar does move when I hit the wrong keys, but it regenerates so quickly it would be impossible to ever drain it completely. Maybe disabling stamina regen during the minigame would fix this? It would also prevent cheesing it with other spell effects that regenerate stamina.

So I am able to currently play using both devious lore and DCL in addition to the other various Devious mods that are available. I made a post a few days ago but when I tried playing the following day it wasn't functioning correctly so i had to update my post. There are some thing that I noticed with my loading after further reading. First and foremost start with a fresh save after you check that you are running the most recent versions of the mods. Second make sure that you are not running any old patches for an older version of DCL or the other Devious devices. DD5.1 is  completely different build from the other versions and the old patches can cause problems. (I was running the old facegen, HDT, and Script patch which were not compatible with 5.1) I just disabled them. You can view the spoilers to see my modlist and priority of each. I am using MO2. For the Plugins see the second spoiler for devious plugins and where they are in the loading priority.  I just tested opening the smuggled package twice and screen went black and then came back with the devices equipped to my character without any issue both times. The key thing to note is that if the scripts in the upper left dont say DD 5.1 initialized then the items didn't equipped properly. I will edit this post in the event that anything else comes up which isn't working correctly. However at this time the game is functioning correctly. and I pray that it stays working Lol

2.3.0 (3/9/22)

-Prevented guard device dialogue from showing up on unique npcs, like the Companions and Orcs

-Added Lore-Monger Quest Statuses to the MCM to tell you how far along you are in with the quests

-Completely rebuilt the Escape Minigame and added over 50 options to adjust its difficulty.

    Stamina debuff replaced with a 'soft-cap' for stamina or magicka

    Added fire magic and telekinesis escape attempts which use magicka instead of stamina

    The escape minigame now detects movement keys other than WASD (Thanks to 'anyway ayway' for this)

    Added an option to drain stamina/magicka based on a percent of total magicka/stamina rather than a flat value

    Made the DDi difficulty much more relevant to the minigame

    Made vanilla skills much more relevant to the attempt

    Pressing the hotkey while trying to escape will stop the attempt

I've been sitting on the dialogue lines for a while, but real life decided to sucker punch me throughout December and January, (including moving apartments, getting food poisoning, my booster shot knocking me down for a week, and realizing I have a vitamin deficiency) and I'm only now catching up on both my real life and modding responsibilities.

I think there is a bug in 2.3.0. GetLockAccessMult will return 0 when LockAccessDifficulty is 0, completely preventing successful escape. Same for GetArousalMult if arousal is <= minArousal, and GetSkillMult if skill > minSkill and skill >= maxSkill.

Looking forward to giving the update a try!  I hope @nomkaz has a chance to update the SE version :) Does it require DD5 now? 

 

I've found that the struggle minigame was either too easy and trivialized all restraints, or it was effectively impossible.  Lockpicking in particular was very easy.  I could turn the difficulty option up a lot to help, but that made struggle impossible.  Really looking forward to see the changes you made to it.

 

My two thoughts for spicing it up would be to have failed struggles reduce the difficulty for that device (so at least you made some progress) and/or adding an arousal component to struggling.  Arousal would increase when trying to escape (much more if you're plugged) and continuing the minigame at 100 arousal would have an increasing chance of triggering an orgasm and ending your escape attempt.

 

The other general bug I've found, and I'm sure this is a DD bug you can't avoid, but enchanting DD items is really wonky.  They tend to lose their enchantments and become normal items again.  I think that happens when the DD framework resyncs the inventory & hidden items.  Hard to actually keep enchanted items in use for long.

What am i doing wrong?

 

Found a Package, opened it, found the devices (From the Stable-Girl)

Asked in Innkeep.

Talked to her.

Got her package.

 

Now, if i open it, i get trapped in it. If i go back to Thalia, she unlockes me and leaves. Shops not open.

If i give it back to her, she takes it and runs of. Shops not open.

If i unlock it, get trapped, get rid of all Restraints, talk to her -> Can only say i didn't find the package. Shops not open.

If i try to get my arousal to 0, still get trapped. See above.

 

What's the magic ingrediant to get the branch where you can refuse a reward and get into her shop?

Any Setstage i could do, to just alleviate my problem?

The first time you do an errand for all lorekeepers you get restrained no matter what your arousal or settings are. You need to do another quest for them and not get restrained to get the right dialogue option.

The minigame does not work if using a controller since that was changed. Before I could use WASD when using a controller, but now it doesn't work anymore. I don't know if there is a way to detect if a controller is being used and if so, use WASD instead. Or could be a toggle in the MCM to use WASD instead of movement keys. Another way could be to have the possibility to manually set the movement keys in the MCM.

So I installed this on SE = because the one labeled Se port wasnt working....and im having the exact same issue. 

-not a single item is dropping......lootable/or restraining me. I even capped the sliders at 100 and still nothing . 

-is there some reason this isnt working for me? Thanks in advance for help :)

Pobably you don't understand how DL works.

You don't just find DDs/trigger traps, but you find container/objects that trigger traps if opened.

Is there a way to set it so that your followers don't anwer "get on your knees slave" and rape you every time you ask for help with restraints?

Hello, I have two problems since your update and that is that I no longer get a reward when I submit a quest and secondly I have a problem with the bodies of the quest givers, they no longer fit my set devices. :classic_mellow:

I have a bunch of DD related mods installed but I assume this is the one that allows me to ask my follower for help getting out of devices?

If so, why do they make me "get on my knees like a good slave" and rape me every time instead of trying to help me haha?

I don't think it's from this mod. I took a quick peek into the dialogue topics and it does not contain any semblance of the line you mentioned. They either untie you or keep you in your binds. The guards on the other hand might do other things to you depending on how it's set in MCM.

Hmm crap, how do you check the dialogue topics to figure out which mod is adding it?  I don't get any helpful options/behaviour from my followers ahah

Either open the plugins in xedit and look at what dialogue lines they add, or start disabling your suspected plugins one by one and see when the dialogue option disappears or yields a different outcome.
