I have no animations loaded because I deleted the game and reinstalled everything on a clean game to see if the problem was caused by other mods, and it wasn't. Regardless of any animations being installed, the GUI loads at the beginning and then stops. Not being sarcastic at all. I'm going by what you wrote. I have NO IDEA what you've installed or uninstalled. Also, 9 times out of 10, it's just something a person forgets to do, like installing animations. ?

First: if you look in the downloads section here, you'd find that AAF is available here, as well as on Nexus. Second: Asking for help and telling people to do things for you are two different things. We do not mind helping you, but you need to be willing to put forth a best effort yourself.

EDIT : Finally I have find how to fix it, I use only Leito animation so when you have install AAF and the "compatibily patch" install the "AAF Leito Crazy patch fomod" AND the Leito Animation after and is normally work. If this can help someone with the same problem.

Cairn Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Hi guys, started playing again recently and have a strange issue after using an AAF animation. Animations play alright and end without any errors, but as soon as I save and try to load that save again, the game crashes I can wait a few minutes after the animation to make sure there aren't any scripts running and switch cells, but all saves I create after using an animation can't be loaded. - Doesn't matter which animation or how it is started. - Ran AAF in DebugMode -> see no errors there. - Everything is on the latest version. I have no idea where to look for the cause. Any ideas? loadorder.txt

I am testing that right now and so far seems to be working 1

If so, I guess I run into some size limitation? What kind of AAF data is the comment next to the setting talking about?

Only info I have is from the change logs. Was added in v37b - use_external_data_storage setting (false by default). The old save mechanism can be turned on by setting this to true. However, by default, AAF now uses an internal save game variable to store AAF data. A big change that needs lots of testing. Is somewhat faster. But, potentially will slow down later in game after a lot of NPC interaction. Needs to be tested through long play-through. 1

I made the switch because I don't foresee the data getting too large for the save game file space and that is faster. The change has not been tested every which way yet. From all the posts I have seen related to save game CTD, it seems to be the same issue. Any save done while animations are active will CTD when trying to load. No errors, just CTD. Some say even after saving when an animation has completed the save will CTD when trying to load. I have many active animations ongoing due to active brothels and random shenanigans in settlements. It is almost impossible to ensure no animations are active prior to saving. After changing use_external_data_storage setting to true, I have spent several hours in game today. I have not had one issue loading a save. It does seem to be an issue with the new method saving the data in a variable on a script. Another note; i did try using different methods with Resaver tool to try and recover the saves with no luck.
