Does the story advance faster if the chastity period is set to be short, long, or does it not matter either way?

Of course i couldn't have been sure what the actual time left or condition was... So it's propably "working as intended". But then i had a scene with furniture near bed. Somehow the bed was close enough and it became focus object for E key. So i tried a couple keys like E, WSAD, jump, F, and got the camera stuck in place directly behind player. After the release the camera was still stuck and save menu was grayed. Moving mouse rotated player around, it was like weird topdown gamemode. Read webs a bit to find solution but only thing that helped was interacting with some object, in this case i used forge at the blacksmith and things normalized but enchanter would have worked too.

Netch Jelly triggers Paralysis, and this can sometimes fix it when eaten. Not always though.
Zaflis Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 I had once an event in bedroom where the wife was trying to walk towards the other npc in the scene, and it was just stuck in that. It was a whipping scene where it was followers turn to stand aside, but she didn't. I solved that by opening console, clicking the other npc so it's selected and then play with getpos and setpos. You don't know if you want to move X or Y until you try, but for example: getpos X > 1000 setpos x 1100 Try with small increments and move it back to original value if it wasn't right. There was another near-stuck incident in Solitude playerhome. After an event she was trying to walk down from the large bed, but the wood frame on top collided with head... After a few seconds she teleported through it though so that's not an issue. Update: It seems i should have just waited longer. There was a failsafe in the script that i noticed when it got stuck a second time. The whipping was simply ignored and the scene continued to next phase smoothly.
Lupine00 Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 I have two issues with the pet's chastity belt. 1) It makes me leave cooking spits and pots, and alchemy tables after a second or two, as if I'd hit Escape. 2) It has some weird HDT behaviour that makes the PC's belly flicker and judder about. If a mod updates the belly node, the flicker stops, otherwise it will not cease. These problems started immediately the belt was added. I suppose it could also be the plug, but the belt seems more likely. Between them, these two things are a bit of a deal-breaker. Deadly Pleasure introduced a similar issue with cooking and alchemy, but I don't have that in my LO for this game. I suspect it is idle-animation related. If the intent is for horny pets to be incapable of cooking or alchemy, might be worth a mention on the front page. A couple of other little quirks... Punishment plug setting is a bit harsh if you're using DF, because you can't recover any follower lives. Being made to pay your follower "by the hour" to be tied up and displayed on a pole might also be a little bit mean. I guess these could be considered DF issues, just giving a heads up. There are some nice interactions with DF, which makes PP + DF a tempting mix, but also some problems. The beatings are somewhat vicious if you use Wounds. You basically end up crippled because your loving mistress is a bit grumpy when she gets in. I can't see any easy workaround for this. Again, not a defect in PP, but might be worth bearing in mind. SD+ is much better at "missing" the player when administering beatings, so the outcome is not as severe.
Lupine00 Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 On completing the seven day trial, and refusing to continue, I also found that the collar, arm and leg cuffs were not removed, so I can confirm that problem. I like what there is of PP... The existing content is all top-notch. PP is a good choice if you want no other DD mods but PP, but there isn't quite enough content to organise a game around it yet. There are some niggles though: As things stand, the special quest cuffs, collar and belt are blockers for many other mods. I don't understand why the mod uses special collar, arm and leg cuffs. This creates conflicts with other mods that could easily be avoided, as there seems no reason why special items are needed. The items have no remarkable property except being impossible to unlock - and that last part is probably overkill. If you aren't wearing the items your mistress wants (a collar, some arm cuffs, some leg cuffs, and your special plug) then you could simply be punished. Similarly, if you somehow manage to have an orgasm that wasn't intended, you could also be punished (perhaps an option to configure that). Caught wearing a different plug to the one your mistress intended? Mistress puts in the correct plug and you're punished. That way the player could substitute any suitable items, and it won't matter if DCL wants to put you in a special collar, or whether DF wants to be able to play its own frustration game, or put its "town collar" on you. I was three days into the trial when an orgasm occurred. Was this intended, or just some other mod doing something it shouldn't? I don't know. Rather than trying to ensure orgasms are impossible, why not make it a feature, and punish the player for disobedience when it happens? With a little careful planning and some very small changes, it could work really well with Devious Followers, and quite well with DCL, Dragonborn in Distress, and probably some other mods that would currently be prone to conflict. The potential for synergy with DF is considerable. For my kind of play, more things that happen outside a player house would be a plus too. There are some great moments, and having looked through the well-organised code, there's huge potential to do more - some nice framework code that could be used to add lots more events. The events and dialogue are spot on. I just wish there was more.
Lupine00 Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 To allow more compatibility with other mods, something like a repeatable version of the trial would work well. This could be a third option on completion of trial. "I'm not sure. I'd like to try this again sometime." e.g. You arrive home, spouse asks if you feel like being a pet for a while. If you agree, spouse belts you for random period with configurable range in MCM. Assuming you don't extend the period by nagging your Mistress about release, you're released at the end of the period, just like the trial. At the end you can choose to try again another time, or submit forever; no option to disable. Maybe each time you refuse, there is a random chance the mistress get angry and belts you anyway. Chance increases the more times you refuse. This would allow the player to choose whether they want to play for a week, or a month at a time, or longer if they like, but eventually they are released and can do stuff from other mods for a while. Maybe the player wants to do some DCL quests, or play through Devious Cidhna ... no problem ... and then they can be chaste again afterwards. A patch for SLSO would work well for this too, particularly if the mistress rewarded or punished you according to her orgasm count. I like this mod enough that I might make such a SLSO patch, also add the repeatable "trials" mechanic, replace the impossible-to-remove devices with regular DD devices with a punishment system (using existing PP punishments) for not wearing correct items, and also punishments for orgasm. I'm not sure yet, but it might be possible to make it so in some cases there's a special game where you have to put in effort not to orgasm in SLSO, and if you fail and cum, you get punishments. Don't think I would replicate DCL keyholder, as that causes all kinds of troubles, but a mechanic to punish the player for carrying keys might be good too. Could even peek inside player house containers SLSO has a deny orgasm flag, that doesn't see much use. Might be of value here though... Integration with DF willpower might be nice. Maybe you don't get an offer for PP 'trial' release unless you have at least X willpower? Maybe if you are in PP mode, DF considers you enslaved with at least six deals, so you don't accumulate debt, but are eligible for various games? Maybe it's better just to treat PP as a level-3 chastity deal, and block the DF chastity deals? DF integration needs some thought, but at the very least, I felt it was unfair to be charged DF debt for time spent as a display object, so I'd want to prevent that. If people express some interest, or have ideas, I'll do this in a way it can be applied as a patch, otherwise I'll just hack my copy of PP and it will just be for me. I won't look seriously at this until I've finished V14 of SLD anyway.

First, i'm not completely sure what the duration sliders do in the menu, I messed with them some, but locking the menu completely once the mod is officially started is really annoying, since it means i've got to save, change settings, get married, find out i don't like the durations, and tweak again. This gets old fast. And i'm not experienced enough to disable the disabling of the menu and force it to update things. It's a project, but not one i'm ready to tackle. The dialog persists even if the mod is disabled and the save is cleaned. Not sure what's going on to keep the mistress dialog in play, but i'm also getting it with other followers, not just the spouse. Perm chastity is fine, but true perm chastity with no way out..... really rubs me the wrong way. Convincing the player to stay a chaste pet is fine, but I really think a safety net or safeword would be better. Again, this is something i could add in for my own use.... if i could actually mod. Further, I would like to be able to temporarily suspend the chastity aspect, for when I use other mods that conflict with this (Shout like a Virgin, for example, requires you to wear it's own chastity devices from time to time, as well as not being in chastity for certain quests).

That will be because it simply checks for spouse relationship level, and many followers simply set this "out of the box", so they act like lovers. Regarding the durations in the MCM - which are as follows: Max chastity period (in days) Max punishment period (in days) I believe the first one is the "max" number of days you stay belted. After this period, if you enter a player home, you are allowed to have sex with your mistress. The belt is removed while this happens, then replaced. However, the duration is randomly determined between 7 days and this time (IIRC). However, if you ask your mistress about how long you must stay belted, the duration is immediately extended. IIRC, the extension period is random between 7 and 30 days, which makes a bit of a mockery of the duration setting. This may lead to confusion about what the duration means. I might recall this wrong though. I can't be bothered to check, as the core point remains the same, whatever the exact numbers are. I believe the second is the max number of days you will be punished for if you pick the wrong dialog options during some scenes. Punishment involves an aggressive little plug, possibly some other things. I remember reading all this in the source (you can look yourself) but I've already forgotten. Punishment durations are also random, up to that limit. I believe these were fixed to make it more "immersive" but that should always have been only an option (lock values tickbox or something). I think Srende also had some idea to do more things to lock the game up so you couldn't ever escape. If such ideas existed, thankfully they were abandoned. There is no legitimate way to get unbelted and stay unbelted ... short of somehow murdering your mistress while the belt is removed for sex with her. However, you can easily remove the belt via DD debug menu. I don't think the mod notices. I tried it, and it continued on, oblivious. I have issues with the practicality of permanent chastity as a game concept. It would be fine in a mod that offered sufficient content to build your whole SL/DD game around it, but neither CD nor PP offer that amount of chastity content. I don't think it's realistic for a chastity mod to ever have enough content to compete with "occasionally non-chaste scenarios". So, with the mods we have now, it's something of a necessity to be able to escape the belt, even if that ultimately can lead to in-game trouble for the PC. My guess is Srende had all kinds of ideas to make it all work, and offer more options, but they never got implemented. I can imagine a legitimate scenario (and Devious Regulations worked much like this) where you leave your spouse at home, travel elsewhere, escape the belt, indulge in all kinds of naughtiness, then put the belt back on, return home, and possibly get away with it. I think it would be fair if you had a chance to be found out if you cheat, and potentially punished accordingly. The less often you cheat, the easier it should be to get away with it. However, if your spouse is also your DF, you have no chance to sneak off on adventures; you need another way to do things without the belt sometimes. DF+PP is an interesting combination, but both DF and PP need a few tweaks to make them integrate nicely. Hard to say when we might see DF 2.0, so anything done would have to target the existing DF release. I notice that not only has the mod not been updated for a long time now, but Srende last logged on to LL back in early September 2017, so I don't really expect any updates from Srende. Even this forum is more or less abandoned. I'm almost certainly going to do something with this mod, once SLD V14 is released, but how that work can be presented is another matter. Srende has not declared the mod abandoned, nor are there any comments about permissions, one way or the other. I guess this doesn't rule out some kind of patch. As I don't think there's much chance of changes to the base mod now, a patch is probably fine. I'm only interested in making some fairly minor changes as already outlined. The SLSO integration and game would probably be the biggest part of it. I've already started looking at how to modify the SLSO game to make it do what I want - and it seems that's possible without modifying the SLSO mod itself at all. 2

Srende Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 Fired up Skyrim (and CK) again first time in ages I do still have plans here, with quite a few event ideas. This mod is still missing the original event idea I had actually, and in general could use a lot more to have a nice feeling of the spouse doing things, instead of the current situation where you kinda have to go to your house for anything to happen. There's a reason for the name being what it is on development side as well. That said, it's still a question of how much time and energy I have, and there's not as much of time available as there was 5 years ago. I also tend to want to finish the features I'm working on quite fast and then getting somewhat bored of it again, when I try to start the next thing/feature. Also, creation kit isn't exactly my favourite piece of tooling to work with, which is why mods with more emphasis on the code side (like DH) are much more fun to develop and maintain. Setting up scenes is kinda painful & tedious. And also some responses to random bits I've seen in the discussion: I've tried to keep the mod as compatible with house mods and such as possible, so there for example isn't any cell edits. All positioning for scenes is done through scripts, though it is a bit more time consuming to set up. It should also allow it to work on custom houses as well, if they use beds that sexlab recognizes, as I'm basing the scene locations on the beds, which are coming from the built in list in SL. Proudspire manor (and most likely other multi story houses, are there any?) seemed to have most issues with pathing during the scenes when I was testing them. Don't think there's much to do about that apart from just forcibly teleporting the NPCs in place, in theory Skyrim should do this if they get stuck, but that doesn't always seem to happen especially if they get stuck while trying to walk up a staircase. Also yes, some kind of temporary vacation without the belt or just having it split up completly in fixed chunks of chastity time would be nice in regards to other mods. I've had the issue myself, but haven't had a good idea on how to go about implementing something like that properly. 8

A break from the belt - for compatibility with other mods - alone would make your mod already perfect ^^ More scenes would be awesome too. your mod is the only reason I would let my PC become married =D
