Reporting an issue with DD 5.2 beta V9. When I uninstalled DD 5.1 and installed the beta, loading my game would cause my character‘s torso, arms, and legs to disappear whenever I wore armour. I ran LOOT, batch built the outfits, and then FORES, but that didn’t seem to change anything. It did get fixed when I started a new save game though.

Did you change load order? If you use MO2 you can first install new version and then disable older version. Because the esm's are same in both mods, their positions in LO doesn't change then. But if you disable mod first, then naturally the mods temporarily disappear from LO.

I’m not sure to be honest. I use the fan version of Nexus Mod Manager to do the heavy lifting and then used LOOT to set the order.

More likely to be you running out of useable memory. Check your SKSE config.

I've ran every combination of SKSE config, including solutions provided in DCL thread. Whip and Chain is still unreliable to say the least, crashing more times than not.

It's more of a DCL thread thing but there are too many actors in 1 cell with many are wearing DD and/or engaging in SL scenes. So it causes massive stress on the papyrus engine. No matter your memory config if you have many mods running at the Inn it will result in crashes if it reaches it's limit. But the standard optimisement tweaks do help a lot with stretching the limit. Haven't had them but my FPS does tank quite a bit. I've proposed to segment the Inn into separate cells to greatly reduce the stress on the game a while ago but not sure if that has been done on the current dev build on Kimy's machine. 

 

Using 'rooms and portals' to segment the Inn, might also help but that is mainly for texture and lighting related crashes/performance hits. Not sure if that fixes the SL/DD (script) overloads.

 

@necronis you should never increase the ScrapHeap above 256 as it can't be used by anything, even mods/tweaks so only results in wasted memory that might even hurt performance overall. For reference I'm running this SKSE config on a GTX 1080 and 64GB of RAM but should be safe on any modern gaming rig with 8+GB ram

Another way to severely reduce lag in the inn wold be replacing all DD devices in displays to statics. like it's done in Laura's mod.

 

I believe the most frequent reason for CTD upon entering Whip and Chain Inn, especially on SE, are HDT Prisoner Chains.

You can check this by trying to add them to inventory and trying to wear them. If worn normally without crashing - then it's not it.

I'm with @naaitsab on this. This discussion does not concern the DD framework itself, unless @Kimy has any idea on how to address the problem within the framework itself. This is DCL stuff and if anything it should go into the proper thread.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/76867 This mod helps with papyrus scripts causing too much lag. (I believe it works on LE no problem too). Also save your game before entering a heavy script section of the game. It'll stop any script that might be running that you didn't notice.

Every time I've had this problem, it's always been because I had too many addons installed for LE to handle.  Try to just disable a few big addons and see if it avoids the CTD.  If you disable a few and it doesn't crash, this would confirm this as the issue.

I have done everything i can think of. But for some reason, no where i look is there ANY INSTANCE anywhere of a bodyslide file for the transparent restrictive gloves. you say they exist. i cannot find them. PLEASE HELP ME! I'm begging you. the transparent set is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking cool. My dragonborn slave must wear it. but alas. she cannot. as there are no bodyslide files for it. not in dd beta 9.2, not on this forum, or anywhere else i looked. including my new patrion sub to you. why? ITS SO AWESOME AND THE MOST EASILY VISIBLE PART IS MISSING. PLEASE HELP............ please....

If you're on SE, I haven't converted it from CBBE LE to CBBE SE / 3BA yet. The bodyslide files are replaced when I do the conversion to SE. I will be updating the bodyslides separately this week.

I just came across an old bug/inconvenience with the plugs:

Whenever PC wears a Locking Plug (vaginal) it gets rendered as two locking plugs, regardless if the anal plug is present or something completely different, like a pony tail.

Are there some script changes in the earlier betas that are not included in the latest beta 9? I ask because I can't get DCL to initialize and this beta stuff might have something to do with it. My character no longer has body inflation from arousal either, is that because DCL has to be updated to support the beta stuff before it would work again?

Hi everyone, I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem, when I using the SE version of BETA9 and I can't set the lock. . . . . . Even though I select the mode that doesn't require a key it still shows i need a key when I hit UNLOCK. At the same time I couldn't take off the device after struggling successfully. I don't think this should be a conflict with other mods since I even reinstalled the game and installed the basic necessary mods.

"Consume keys" in that menu only means, that your key is not consumed after unlocking a device, it doesn't turn the whole key mechanic off. So you still need keys, or lockpick skill or destruction spells etc.
