Intended behavior is you NOT needing a key when you used the manipulate lock option when equipping the device. The dialogue should give you the option to just remove the device instead.

Hm i'm not sure what happens here but i might found a bug:

 

Device Equipment can break at least for me to an unrepairable state: I think it's might caused by faulty unequip calls.

 

The Situation:

In my case, i can't equip genital piercing. You click to equip, the normal dialog box pops up, and you equip it. it looks equipped in the inventory, but it's not showing up on the character and you can easily remove equip it again by simply "clicking in the inventory" thy typical DD Removal Box is missing.

 

I checked with player.showinventory if something is blocking the slot. but i removed all items and the only 3 left items are: SMP Body, "No Tounge" from another mod (does not interfere, was working before= and Device Hider So there is no left over dead object.

 

Fresh Character -> it works fine.

 

Papayrus Trace does not show any relevant debug message.

 

Maybe i miss something.

yes i choose the option " manipulate lock " when i equipping the device, but when i try to remove the device it still shows that i need a key

You can have unnamed render item in your inventory, it will break that item. To fix it type "showinventory" in console and look for all items without names and then remove them from inventory.

As i mentioned. this was already done:

 

only 3 items in inventory is smp, "no tounge" and "Device Hider" i checked device hider ID with SSE edit. it matches.

If this is SE, and you're using a 3BA body, the SMP takes up the genital piercing slot. You need to enable DD compatibility in 3BA's MCM

Just asking daft questions, because I've never played on SE: The popup of the devices on the right hand side show four attributes, on LE I am only familiar with three: Armor, Weight, and Value. Is that fourth value from vanilla SE, or is it added from another mod, which might be the culprit for breaking your DD?

Apols for the late request, but I forgot to ask before I went away recently

 

DD Crafting.  Very glad that is still there!  It would be a terrible loss if removed

 

But, is there ay way that you can update what can be crafted to include the newer items, pls?  I'm hoping that's just a simple addition to a list of stuff - 'recipes' can probably stay the same and just be duplicated for the device type/materials?

 

It would really help to have more variety, esp using Paradise Halls etc mods

The GOG SKSE plugin is in the SE DD 5.2beta9 installer. Or you can grab it from the troubleshooting post if you're running DD 5.1. The 2.2.2 should work with 2.2.3 as well. As long as the first two numbers match, skse usually has no problem running it.

 

If there is a problem, please attach your skse64.log.

Thank you for responding. I wasn't aware that it was in that beta release, due to it not being in the notes for that release. So, were hesitant about downloading the beta as weren't sure downloading the file, then finding it wasn't usable would have been a waste of time. Maybe please update that post or make a note of it for the beta 10 update SSE port please?

I have no intention to remove the existing device crafting feature as long as no direct alternative is provided by a third party mod (we talked about that a while back and somebody seemed to have interest in making one, but I am not sure about the status of that project). I do consider the crafting feature out-of-scope for the framework and thus deprecated, though.

 

For the time being, there are multiple ways to spawn any DD device, including shops provided by Cursed Loot and Laura's Bondage Shop, the console, and IIRC several inventory management mods.

Not sure i understand you. I have the DLLs linked separately so the beta doesn't need to be downloaded. It's in the beta section because that's where all the development is, and it's redundant to list the DLLs twice in the same post.

Sheessshhhh!  Even I can use the console and inventory spawns, ?,or just add the shops, but I'd rather make stuff in the shed, than be popping back and forward to the supermarket every morning and afternoon.  There's more than enough of that in RL ....  ?

@Kimy a minor bug report - the open rubber hood (with eyes and mouth holes) disables opening mouth for the gag. I also noticed there's some issue with unequipping when both open hood and blindfold/gag are locked.

I have noticed that some devices first seems to check if there is a key available before allowing you to remove it even if you manipulate. If you manipulate a device and the game won't let you unequip it, give yourself a restraints key and try again, it'll likely give you the proper "as you have manipulated the device..." message and remove it properly without consuming the key.

This doesn't happen with all devices, just a few that I have noticed.

Not suer if this is a DD or DCL item, but I noticed the opposite problem with the rubber hood with just open eyes but covered mouth. The mouth opens up underneath the hood causing the chin to clip out of the bottom of it

My apologies, My timed has been consumed by WoW classic Wrath. (Being a guild officer is a time sink).

We're getting into a content lull, so I should have some time to pick this thing back up before Turkey Day and then you can stash it away for the next version. I'm still having an annoying issue where my custom zipper mesh is not applying the texture to both faces, but at this point... I'm kinda over it. I'll have it apply to the outside, and if I figure it out later, I can supply you an update.

I seem to be having an issue with hobbleskirts/ankle restriction. Whenever I get one of these items my speed is really fast (I have to toggle walk/run) to be able to actually move at slow hobble speed.

I am returning to the game, and its been a while but I dont remember having to do that? -Its probably something I did wrong, but figured I would seek help anyway. Thank you in advanced for any help.
