I just had a little chat with John Lennon and this is how it went...

John Lennon: Hello there, mate! John Lennon here, musician, artist, and all-around peace-loving rebel. How can I help you today?

Me: Write lyrics for a song that will become the biggest hit and make the whole world cry of happiness.

John Lennon: Well, mate, writing a song that will make the whole world cry of happiness is quite a tall order, but I'll give it a go. Here are some lyrics that might just do the trick:

Verse 1:
In a world full of darkness and pain
Where it seems like the sun will never shine again
There's a glimmer of hope that we can hold on to
A light that shines bright and true

Chorus:
Love is the answer, it's the key to our hearts
It's the one thing that can tear down all the walls
Let's come together, hand in hand
And spread love across this land

Verse 2:
We've been through so much, seen so many tears
But we can rise above it all, conquer our fears
Let's open our hearts, let love be our guide
And we'll find a way to heal the divide

Chorus:
Love is the answer, it's the key to our hearts
It's the one thing that can tear down all the walls
Let's come together, hand in hand
And spread love across this land

Bridge:
We may be different, but we're all the same
We all want to be loved, to feel no pain
So let's put aside our differences, and come together as one
And we'll see a brighter future, a new day has begun

Chorus:
Love is the answer, it's the key to our hearts
It's the one thing that can tear down all the walls
Let's come together, hand in hand
And spread love across this land

Outro:
Love is the answer, it's the key to our hearts
Let's spread it far and wide, and make a brand new start.

I am sure you will have plenty of other opportunities, though....trolling here on LL, generally it is a small group of us who are active (though plenty of lurkers, but ......is it trolling if you target lurkers who won't post anyway?)

Glad everyone here is so chill. Want a brownie?

I watched the entire video as well with only a few eye rolls and "here we go again", finding the video mostly solid except for one thing: reasonable people can function in a very progressive and liberal way, while those who are "unreasonable" make the world as it is.    Of course, we shouldn't abandon a reasonable society, but to continually cast things in an "us vs them", we ensure that listening will turn to defensiveness.   In other words, the people that should watch the video will likely forget everything the moment he uses the words "bigot" to describe only one side.

The video does alright. As for offending the audience, can't keep track of every snowflake as the kids say. Trans people are here to stay and that's good enough for me.

> Our son, Mikey couldn't sleep and he was playing with us in the bed. After some time of playing with him the three of us wanted to cuddle. Then I told him: "Go to sleep, Mikey." "But I can't sleep, maama" - said he. My Prince took him into his arms and put him into his bed. I heard him saying again: "But tata, I can't sleep!" My Prince told him, he has to. In that moment I realized how stupid is to say or command: "sleep" to someone. One cannot sleep if feel no sleepy or is not tired. It is one thing using that command as "I want you to stay in the bed", but it is completely another thing commanding someone to sleep if he cannot sleep. Then I said to my son: "Sleeping or not, stay in your bed, Mikey." He "understood" that command and he replied: "Okay, maama."

Love is the answer

Love is just a four-letter word.

I'll take Dylan over John Lennon-Airport any day.

Plato's Symposium is a dialogue about love. Socrates' tale about what his tutor Diotima told him is hilarious.

A symposium was a drinking party where a topic was chosen and each guest had to speak on it. The Greeks had four words to describe four different types of love - agape, eros, philia and storge.

A humourless summary from wiki p

"Diotima first explains that Love is neither a god, as was previously claimed by the other guests, nor a mortal but a daemon, a spirit halfway between god and man, who was born during a banquet thrown by the gods to celebrate the birth of Aphrodite. One of the guests was Porus, the god of resource or plenty, who was passed out from drinking too much nectar, and it so happened that another deity arrived, Poverty, who came to the banquet to beg, and upon seeing Porus lying unconscious took the chance to sleep with him, conceiving a child in the process: Love. Having been born at Aphrodite's birthday party, he became her follower and servant, but through his real origins Love acquired a kind of double nature. From his mother, Love became poor, ugly, and with no place to sleep (203c-d), while from his father he inherited the knowledge of beauty, as well as the cunningness to pursue it."

Gotta buy some steel toe work boots (prefer "alloy" for weight)

Kinda broke at the moment so went to walmart's website to see what they have in stock at my closest store. Went looking through their work boots and discovered something about the reviews... They're overwhelmingly positive. Now I have no problem with that if it's a legit review,,,, but I noticed at the bottom of every review it said "Incentivized Review".

Yeah, what's the likelihood any of those reviews are legit... Not a single negative review was Incentivized Review.

Check scamazon and see what they got and hope like hell my shit doesn't get stolen off my porch. Lady across from me had some stuff stolen and she asked to see my porch camera footage that she originally complained about me having. The dude that stole her package literally bumped into the UPS guy just to get to grab the package. It had barely hit the ground before the dude snatched it up. He was probably following the driver through the apartment community. Seen that happen many times over the years.

A contender for most pretentious book title of the year

The winner of 2018 surely was :

"Entwicklung von außergewöhnlich aktiven, kooperativen Aluminium-Fluorid-basierten Lewis-Säure/Oniumsalz-Katalysatoren für die asymmetrische Carboxycyanierung von Aldehyden und Untersuchungen zu ihrer Anwendbarkeit in verwandten enantioselektiven Transformationen"

There is no man without flaws. Each of us has own needs and desires that can lead to the dark side. Narcissism might be displaying in various ways..
This is one of the things we should shun, so that we don't offend nor hurt someone!

"How to delete stuck internet shortcuts windows"

That was my question and I was searching for a simple solution for this - on first look - simple task.

What I found on the Microsoft page:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/internet-shortcut-icon-wont-delete/88f6ee11-7b21-4545-8c6c-c757a3701fe9

What I found on reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/WindowsHelp/comments/126tyy6/cant_delete_move_or_modify_internet_shortcut_even/

How to solve it: 7zip > rename file > delete > done!

reddit (with a grain of salt) and 7zip ftw!
