Don't they mean what the people in charge say they mean?

The people in charge of what? They are two systems of government and as such have a definition of what constitutes such a system in the same way as do theocracy or monarchy for example.

that's some karma.

That has nothing to do with karma whether in the correct meaning of the word or the modern incorrect meaning of the word.

Quick answer: No

Long answer: I don't have the answer because I'm a pig pretending to be a human on the internet.

Slightly slower answer: I find it depends a lot on the subject. Subjects such as ancient history and ancient philosophy are usually okay as the sheeple don't go near those subjects.

If it isn't trendy then it's usually okay but once it becomes flavour of the month then all sorts of bollocks gets written. A good example is the brouhaha over Rowling. The HP books were published between 1997 and 2007 and the films released between 2001 and 2011 all without any controversy with regard to anti-Semitism and anti-trans bollocks. I remember American Christian groups warning that the books would lead children down the path to 'occultism' and whatnot.

Ah yeah. I remember hearing that there was a controversy over how Pokemon and Dungeons and Dragons were "Satanic worship". Its silly. One is over glorified beetle sumo and the other is about players returning farmer's lost goat. The Doom game controversy is the weirdest one to me. Shooting demons in the face is Satan worship? Really?

Once again, your autocratic semantic masturbation fails at any injection of either context or relevance.

Point of fact being it simply demonstrates how astoundingly trash both your opinions and use of them thereof is.

Maybe someday your abject whinging at the back of the room will attract the attention you desire but it won't be any time soon or any time later for that matter.

Once again you respond with meaningless and clueless word salad.

The context or relevance was your misuse of the word 'karma'. I have no idea what 'autocratic semantic masturbation' means but I know you used the word 'karma' incorrectly.

My opinion has nothing to do with it. Karma means 'action' in Sanskrit and has nothing to do with fate. The meaning of the word has nothing to do with me, it is just the nature of words to have a particular meaning.

What abject whinging would that be? I posted a statement saying you were incorrect in your use of the word 'karma'. You have done nothing to show that you used the word correctly.

Next up we're at home to Southampton in the Prem on Sunday. Barring a disaster of biblical proportions that should be three points in the bag.

Welcome to Biblical Proportions FC.

Man Utd 0-0 Southampton.

Casemiro sent off after 30 mins. He's now banned for four games.

Might be worth mentioning that Hungry Santa, the man that ruined Chaplin's mustache, and Captain Meathook quoted the same philosophers and had the same goal but it's a pointless conversation that just leads to body count comparisons as if they are penis measurements and it's all just tiresome.

Hilter! Meathook was on an island.

OK I totally took a dump on "hungry santa"

doesn't answer the question but it's semi-topical (I tried)

> Bisexuals in our country are also unaccepted, hated and molested. The three of us are living in extreme homophobic society. This is very interesting: few people saw the three of us smooching and all of them thought we are my Prince's whores and he is our pimp. None of them thought we could be bisexuals.:classic_dry:

Humans are a very monogamous species. It will take some time for people to get adjusted to somebody outside the... regular? Is that the best way to put it? People really need to let go of their control fetish particularly in the case of consensual love.

It would be great if next weekend's MOTD's end credits were accompanied by Lineker, Shearer and Wrighty singing "Can we play you every week?"*

> Love triangles are still very rare in our country and they are not willing to meet with other love triangles, not for sex, but for mutual support. They are afraid of being recognized and disgraced. Of course, there are other reasons too, but it might take me into writing a long post.

Again... I've always assumed most European countries were very progressive. ;)

So now I'm guessing the Mediterranean countries got their own thing going on? They should like water sports though. :D
