I have never been what you call "Stupid" I skipped 2 grades in grade school, never had an issue learning any job I was given and learning to excel there.

Years later, old, broken physically and a little mentally I guess, from life's trauma, we come to this piece of plastic, alloys and microchips called a Computer. I have not ever had to ask for so much help as I have modding with this infernal thing. Being in the country, 50 miles/80.4 kilometers round trip to the nearest wider spot in the road, there is not much for classes to learn PC's so I muddle through. I have made some big mistakes, mostly small one's that are not noticed till part way through a game, why is that being weird all of a sudden?! Back track, ask questions, receive valuable help, get run down and called stupid*, or the inference thereof. One guy* went as far as to say in writing (paraphrased) if you are so stupid you cannot figure that out you have no business on a PC or modding games, Quit now.  *both of those were at "Other" forums where People aren't as nice as you all here have been to me, Thanks for that! I Digress, learning this PC and how to explore it's hidden features is both satisfying and rewarding, I do not know much so far. I started with my first use of a PC (other than checking email) in the spring of 2020 when I gave up playing Skyrim on xbox and wanted to start modding the game, I have played Skyrim since it first hit the market what was it 08? So I spent the pandemic, learning how to use this "Machine" and have had alot of fun with it.  3 years on I wouldn't change a thing, thanks to all for their help, making me feel welcome, and general fun all round, I am glad I found this site!

Out of Likes again.  I was a little too old when that was around, remembered it in passing. I used to live above a cave and keep the party people from trashing it, got the nickname from that plus I have been a caver since the 70's, horizontal, vertical, restoration, clean-up, till the white nose disease in the bat population and my back issues put a stop to the whole thing.

Having my regrets for not being openly sociable here when I'd like to be? 

ADHD absolutely riding my ass / internal monologue making point 1 a hell I usually just avoid in favor of solitude. 

In a sense this place over the years has helped with my loneliness, not that it's not self inflicted because I pickle my liver, mask up and play fine so to the outside everything is fine. 

 

And that's enough for a first post in this thread, before said mind runs away with itself.

I don't read the news or even watch those type of nterviews anymore... Every time I did, and I did it everyday for years and years and lately every time I started reading this was my honest reaction:

 

 

Now I lead less stressful days, I know everything is going down the drain, I just don't give a shit anymore...
