If for some reason you can't or don't want to watch the video by Sebastian Ruiz then here is the summary: Everybody is wrong except for me. No wait I'm wrong too. Well here is my unpopular opinion: Buy a game or don't. It is just an opinion but at the same time trust your gut on this. There are multiple factors when considering a game or any product in general. One is the quality of the product or rather if it suits your wants and or needs. For games it is things like visuals, gameplay, writing, pricing and even interactions with the seller. Interactions with the seller can extend to something posted on a social media sites like Facebook or Twitter. If for any reason a game puts you off don't buy it. If the game doesn't put you off do buy it. At the end of the day whatever you do your actions have consequences online and offline. What you post on the internet stays on the internet forever. Basically what that weird high-school teacher keeps warning you about. Don't like it? Cry me a river~ Now excuse me while I question some of my life choices... The man in the TV is a recorded image. If the recorded image "makes" you do anything, you should probably seriously consider whether your genetics should actually be passed on.

But he ranted on about some guy's critique of "Death Stranding" and then admitted that he never played it. (Never played it? I want to buy a game, I loved death stranding. You've got part of it down. Not everything but enough to get what I'm talking about. You can either buy a work of art or you can pass. I guess what I've really been getting at and what I've been wondering is can we separate the art from the artist? Do I get a good work of art but support terrible people or do I not support terrible people but lose out on a good work of art? Perhaps this is why people buy artwork despite being made by shitbags despite having a world of information at their fingertips. I've heard one argument that it is impossible to tell who is a terrible person. Maybe but I'd rather have a hand full of people who punch puppies in secret as one day the police will find these puppy punchers and bring them to justice rather than have people who openly endorse punching puppies slowly changing the law from the inside. Besides that is still less people punching puppies and the fear of getting arrested will discourage puppy punching. I do wish people would discuss it like civilized folk but I dunno.

If you take that to its logical conclusion then you would have to do a background check on the shop assistant before you bought a tin of peas. You would require character references from a fireman before you would let him drag you from a burning building. Nobody puts their self through this moral agony (virtue signalling) over McDonalds, Microsoft, Apple, Intel, Nike. It is always some arty-farty thing and generally involves someone long dead. 1

I quote terribly. Anyway JK rowling isn't dead, and is entitled to her opinion (Whatever it is, I'm not real sure) I already had a blog on the subject before this subject started, by a few hours.... and in it I ranted that any celebrity anywhere, any restaurant, gets pilloried for opinions. I don't agree with that, but that's only an opinion. Mel Gibson / Elton John / John Lennon (yada blah whatever) and I really resent colors (the ones you wear) having a meaning and a significance and a reason for old guys in trucks to yell something. Avoid nice clothes because they're the "wrong" color? It rankles.

You wear the wrong uniform and you’ll get shot. Wear a powdered wig or you’ll get thrown out of congress. People have criticized the clothes of others ever since clothes existed. People have always had opinions on shit that is none of their beeswax. There are even opinions I disagree with and I can’t change opinions. I’m not some magical creature with mind bending powers. If nobody gets murdered for having a different opinion then consider that a good day because people have been shot for less.

Star? What are you talking about? Actually nevermind. Better get back on topic because I think we’re upsetting the Potter fans and in my experience there can be no civilized conversation if people are upset.
2dk2c.2 Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Really really random thought I'm halfway musing. If being a woman is an aspiration denied by(anyone who thinks males pollute the female race) present celebrities excepted. Females being so perfect have their own *month* (You're in it right now) And if any upstart bounder-cad of a male can purport to be female, well that's like the hillbillies in Beverly Hills. Races and religions demand some exclusivity, you can't just go around saying you were a poor black child... Someone (I forget who) says transgenders make the term "sex" (gender) meaningless. Damnit you were born a woman you earned the right to your parade, who is this upstart raining on your womanhood parade? Prejudice exists everywhere.
Darkpig Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 (edited) Well that was a thing. I might as well bring up my final point. Is it not our values that we choose whether or not to purchase something? Will you shame a person for sticking with a decision not to buy something as such an act would go against their values of safety for themselves or loved ones? Will you shame a person for buying something with the values of simply enjoying life? Thank you for listening to the ramblings of a bored pig. PS. If it looks like I stole it from a bible that was not my intention. Or was it?! Actually no, no it wasn’t. Edited March 2, 2023 by Darkpig

If it looks like I stole it from a bible that was not my intention. Or was it?! Actually no, no it wasn’t. Wait, lotsa people do that, Freakin' too damn many people. OTOH, I've got a story about when I was a lad listening to some older guy rant on about the virtues of Communism. The old fart (he was at least 40) was playing an elaborate joke and told everyone I was stewpid for not disagreeing. Fuck him and his family. OTOH you can worship Satan, love "American Pie" and adore (redacted) because (s)he's sooo fascistic, and I'll shrug. So I'm in a big-ass warehouse store, one of those membership places . A friend was gonna buy me a monitor!! So There I am, trying to discuss out-loud the virtues of one vs the other. One was long and narrow, One was what I already had but newer, working. Long...narow...I measured with my hands which had more screen. an Asshole (I swear) hippie-type disparaged my method. I should have gone home and pored over many quaint and curious volumes of who-gives-a-rat's-ass lore YEEEERS have passed, the monitor died long ago, RIP, but that A-hole is fresh in my mind as if it was last week. FU, judgmentals. Assholes all. Edited March 3, 2023 by 2dk2c.2

Well - bullying people with dissimilar clothing (or whatever) to suicide through massive bullying is, in my eyes, ultimately the same level as shooting them with a gun or putting them in a gas chamber. And even if the suicide fails or is prevented in some other way - the victim is badly marked for the rest of his life - especially in the psyche (and I'm writing from real life here - but I will NOT go into more details in a sex forum!) ?
Grey Cloud Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 The so-called Star of David has only been associated with Judaism since the 17th century. It is actually an alchemical symbol - a compound of the symbols for Fire, Air, Water and Earth. J.K. Rowling didn't make the films she wrote the books it is unlikely that Australia House was used by her. As a side note there is more knowledge of alchemy in Rowling's books than you will find in 99.9% of academic books on the subject.
Z0mBieP00Nani Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 One of the more important lessons I've learned is to always check the toilet paper dispenser in public restrooms, or carry a few wipes. Otherwise you could end up in a really shitty situation, ha ha.. I just heard a guy go into one of the stalls where I work, and he didn't check before he sat down, "oh shit, really?!..." 1

A gun is easy. You pull the trigger and go "bang!" Actually you don't even need to supply the sound effects. No wonder everybody is concerned about gun safety. But at the end of the day it is just a tool. But also at the end of the day it is a tool to bully and harass people. Threats of violence is still more scarring than words. Words are just funny sounds that humans make from their mouth and it is that feeling of being excluded from the collective that drives home the pain. So you have my sympathies. 13 hours ago, Grey Cloud said: The so-called Star of David has only been associated with Judaism since the 17th century. No. I've got better things to do. As for the Star. That is still 4 centuries of time and the symbol itself is much older. For alchemy I find it rather funny. Like every other of the old sciences it is a mostly outdated way of looking at things and considering many have been influenced by their particular culture nothing is going to be consistent. If you want to find anything relevant you'll have to search an old Nordic crypt or something and what that woman does in her free time is none my business. I guess doing a lot of drugs would do the trick too?

Wrong. You don't have a clue what alchemy is. It is not a form of proto-chemistry - hence my comment about academic books. Is astronomy outdated? Sixty minute hours? Calculations to five decimal places? Fun Fact #1 Those who saw alchemy as a get rich quick scheme by converting base metals into gold were called 'puffers' and 'blowers' by alchemists. Despite what is always trotted out in docus etc, Isaac Newton was not an alchemist. Fun Fact #2 Some of the Babylonian astronomical calculations were only surpassed after the advent of satellites. Many of said calculations and observations are still in use. Fun Fact #3 George Lucas was a great admirer of Joseph Campbell (who understood nothing of mythology) and wrote Star Wars as an attempt at Campbells 'Hero With A Thousand Faces' (Monomyth) theme. 12 hours ago, Darkpig said: many have been influenced by their particular culture Do you mean like believing that newer is always superior to older?

Newtron was no theologian either, especially about the apocalypse. He had nothing to do with the british treasury and his million words on alchemy was a typo I was seriously googling "Isaac newton was not an alchemist" and kept coming up against walls, No, Jimmy Newtron was no alchemist and the Jewish star (I'm totally reaching here) has nothing to do with Newton or alchemy
