emm...I don't mean to be annoying, but I intend to finish playing this mod in my hard-own 2 days' off, anyone could help?

Kenjoka, did you fix the "sliding around when whipped" in Slaverun 3.0?

My PC is in the Stormcloak Camp currently and the issue reached a new low :frown:
When the PC is bound to cross or whatever and whipped, the whole "thing" is skating across the camp whenever the PC is whipped or a Stormcloak Soldier collides with the bound player.

If you cannot fix this (other mods did, at least I had mods where this was no issue while beeing whipped), is there an external fix probably? Seems to be connected to attack hit impact or sth.

Its really annoying, not only in Slaverun :frown:

You can see the bloody trail in the screenshot  where the stormcloaks "whipped" the PC along...

Hi, Kenjoka. Do you consider to use the materials from Slave of Tamerial continued? Since Slaverun Reloaded does have slaves for mining maybe  incorporating some of the things from that mods into future version of Slaverun?

Basically you have to wait until Ulfric gets done with his long winded speech.

This one:

Galmar: "Balgruuf won't give us a straight answer."
Ulfric: "He's a true Nord. He'll come around."
Galmar: "Don't be so sure of that. We've intercepted couriers from Solitude. The Empire's putting a great deal of pressure on Whiterun."
Ulfric: "And what would you have me do?"
Galmar: "If he's not with us, he's against us."
Ulfric: "He knows that. They all know that."
Galmar: "How long are you going to wait?"
Ulfric: "You think I need to send Balgruuf a stronger message."
Galmar: "If by message you mean shoving a sword through his gullet."
Ulfric: "Taking his city and leaving him in disgrace would make a more powerful statement, don't you think?"
Galmar: "So we're ready to start this war in earnest then?"
Ulfric: "Soon."
Galmar: "I still say you should take them all out like you did Deadking Torygg."
Ulfric: "Torygg was merely a message to the other Jarls. Whoever we replace them with will need the support of our armies."
Galmar: "We're ready when you are."
Ulfric: "Things hinge on Whiterun. If we can take the city without bloodshed all the better. But if not..."
Galmar: "The people are behind you."
Ulfric: "Many I fear still need convincing."
Galmar: "Then let them die with their false kings."
Ulfric: "We've been soldiers a long time. We know the price of freedom. The people are still weighing things in their hearts."
Galmar: "What's left of Skyrim to wager?"
Ulfric: "They have families to think of."
Galmar: "How many of their sons and daughters follow your banner? We are their families."
Ulfric: "Well put, friend. Tell me, Galmar, why do you fight for me?"
Galmar: "I'd follow you into the depths of Oblivion, you know that."
Ulfric: "Yes, but why do you fight? If not for me, what then?"
Galmar: "I'll die before elves dictate the fates of men. Are we not one in this?"
Ulfric: "I fight for the men I've held in my arms, dying on foreign soil. I fight for their wives and children, who's [sic] names I heard whispered in their last breaths. I fight for we few who did come home, only to find our country full of strangers wearing familiar faces. I fight for my people impoverished to pay the debts of an Empire too weak to rule them, yet brands them criminals for wanting to rule themselves! I fight so that all the fighting I've already done hasn't been for nothing. I fight... because I must."
Galmar: "Your words give voice to what we all feel, Ulfric. And that's why you will be High King. But the day words are enough, will be the day when soldiers like us are no longer needed."
Ulfric: "I would gladly retire from the world were such a day to dawn."
Galmar: "Aye. But in the meantime, we have a war to plan."

I'm going on the assumption you haven't done the civil war quest line. He does this speech anytime you enter the Palace of the Kings. There might be a way to keep him from repeating it but for some reason he always did it when I entered even if I sat through the whole thing before. If he's just sitting on the throne not talking you should be able to talk to him normally and do the Slaverun involved quests. I think this was done to prevent his scripted behaviour from messing with events like whipping or such.

so turns out this speech only triggers after the player accepts the quest of killing a ice snake ghost thing - whatever it is... however, it seems now I have to go to finish this quest because meanwhile the only line Ulfric has is asking me to fulfill Galmar's request.

Strange... I always get that particular speech every time I enter the Palace of Kings. Never had to accept a quest. That quest is actually the first quest in the civil war quest line which I never did since I play my slave neutral to the conflict (based off my base character who has as few world affecting quests completed as possible, no main quest stuff complete or civil war and no guilds). If completing that specific quest gets Ulfric to shut up it might be worth it.

Why do modders take their stuff offline in the first place? I witnessed this more than once and still wonder.

And what is happening in this particular case? The mod seemed to be working just fine?!

I think it probably got lost in the forum upgrade.

If you mean that Blood on the Ice, that has to be the most Screwed up vanilla quest in the game, I finally just quit doing it, and to get

I cheat, to get the House, like this

GET Hjerim

1.  type "completequest ms11" and press ENTER. Next type "completequest ms11b" and press enter. Mission completed!

2.  type "setstage a7b33 10" and press ENTER. House was purchased.

3.  Buy furnitures and clean house.

4.  fog and crap in house, broken glass, etc.
Open a console, type "df495.disable" and press ENTER.

5. Done now I have Hjerim

6.  and i still sometimes have to console, and Highlight the Clothing closet in the House , and disable or delete it, and the false suppose to slide back panel in it, to access the Enchanting table. But after that I have the House, and It is not a bad Home to own.

But if that was not what you were talking about, I am sorry.. I just hate that quest so much. I noticed the Usleep people don't touch it either.. not that i ever run Usleep.

oh gawds let me guess people are talking about Ulfrica's vanilla dialogue when you go in the Palace of the Kings, i got so sick of Ulfric's doing that eveytime

i entered i went and found a female replacer for him (it is custom voiced) just so i could hear a new voice talking thru those lines.

while i am tired of hearing that conversation at least i can do what i want in there after it finishes without having to start the "Civil War", now if she would

just quit doing it every time i enter the Palace i would be a lot happier. at this point (unless i have to talk to Her or Galmar) i just continue on my merry way

and ignore the fact that it is playing that conversation for the umpteenth time.

You could get Neutrality in Skyrim, which takes away the entire civil war questline but still allows you to gain the things you normally would get.

Yeppers! I run CWN - Civil War Neutrality, and I find it so much better for me, I just don't like either of the two side's, and have trouble joining any of them.

I wish the war had been against the Thalmor, I could have joined for that No doubt...

The Nord's are so fricking racist, and the Imperials are so Holier than anyone, and tell there people who they can, and cannot worship.  I just don't like any of them.

But even with that, Ulfrica  still does he's stupid rank, and walk thing in the Palace.

thanks you both for the suggestion, just grabbed it (it will have to wait for new game so it can replace a couple of other mods that i do not wanna chance removal of midgame).

yes,it was this quest I was talking about, but I didn't care for that house, I haven't cared for most of the lore of skyrim ever since I discovered there are lewd mods.... slaverun reloaded was kinda stuck because of that quest that's all XD

Slaverun is still the one mod I played the most... my original profile for version 2.X is still working, even when I added more optical improvement mods and ENB over the time

Still by far the best!

May I ask, when the next BETA will be released? I am wondering if its worth the trouble to start a second BETA playthrough with the released 3.0 version or better wait for the next one?

Will it be possible to update from beta 1 to beta 2?

What will we see in beta 2?

Much appreciated

And please fix the "sliding over the ground when beeing whipped"-Feature, hehe. Sorry, just the one most annoying thing in Slaverun (and some other mods).

Prison Overhaul seems to have fixed it, for example.

Prison Overhaul seems to have fixed it, for example.

It's actually quite troublesome to fix, and most solutions involve incessant re-positioning of the player, which can turn nasty if the script goes rogue and can't be stopped.

Another alternative, less hazardous, but sort of lame, is for the whip-master to stand a bit back and whip an invisible NPC (who has a repositioner script), and not the PC at all.

Then the script is less dangerous, and if it goes rogue, safely does nothing when the whip target proxy is disabled.

I think, possibly, if the player is "sitting" on a marker, they won't move then, either, but I haven't tried it.

I think there may be a few other ways, and also ways to defend against malfunction of the lock down script, but ultimately this is Skyrim, and stuff just breaks. A lot. So being extremely defensive is an essential.

Any other suggestions on how to do this?

Posted

I believe that's how POP does it - replace the physical stocks with the stocks animation, then reverse the process after. That's why your character will start twitching when it's punishment time, and also why they occasionally stand and and reset the stocks. Could be wrong, though.

Posted

Shout Like a Virgin also manages to lock the player in place while being whipped.

As for Prison Overhaul Patched, I've actually used the bondage pose feature during

a Slaverun Whipping scene after I got pissed off from being knocked halfway across

Skyrim one too many times. It wasn't ideal, but it didn't seem to break anything.
