winny257 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 ---snip--- There there ... believe me, me is to howls.
Bazinga Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 It looks excellent, at least promising. Also they leaving the good sword-swinging RPGs and prefer to make a game that will be dominated by machines (I only say robots). So you endorse one game with robots playing a central role and shun another. Which is it now? And don't worry, I'm sure Cyberpunk will outsell Witcher. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Between *Horizon Zero Dawn* and *Cyberpunk*, there it a world of difference, actually many. 1. the landscape http://static4.gamespot.com/uploads/original/1197/11970954/3126129-horizonzerodawn_screens_septevent_3840x2160_01-2.jpg http://www.playnation.de/uploads/inline/pic-25020.jpg 2. the weapons https://cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/53527645/18820113896_1633ddae5b_o.0.0.jpg https://assets.vg247.com/current//2013/07/Cyberpunk-2077-replica-2.jpg I could list a great deal more, but this is for me the decisive factor, whether top or flop. edit: alles klar, mit 36 hat man andere Erwartungen als mit 60.
Aria Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 @Aria You boast CD PROJECT RED, I only say SHIT! What are they doing, they finish the Witcher series and make a shitty Cyberpunk 2077! Also they leaving the good sword-swinging RPGs and prefer to make a game that will be dominated by machines (I only say robots). The time of good old RPGs is OVER AND OUT!! edit: I will miss her and no further game From CD PROJECT RED to buy. https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/t_original/1363680274432913324.jpg Lol i like that teary Geralt I look forward to what they do with Cyberpunk though, its going to be interesting...perhaps that will be the new mass effect for me
Kargrin Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 New video out! COMEDY TIME *She should be mad in this scene
Aria Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Yeah there is something terribly off with the face animations, if you watched the vid with Peebes mission, at the beginning Sarah gets tossed a bit (around 10sec) and her experssion doesnt match the situation at all. Here:
LukeDuke Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Wow, aliens actually looks better than humans LOL Those ''dead'' eyes are terrifying..
Kendo 2 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 New video out! COMEDY TIME *She should be mad in this scene I saw the video on IGN. The lip syncing is worse than FO4's...and that was terrible. And just like FO4, MEA is getting a free pass. WTF has happened to the gaming world?
Kargrin Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Props to the madman that accepted the march 21 lauch date. This game is really "finished". They chould choose any other scene of the game to show in a promotional video...
Jazzman Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Driving a perhaps less beautiful human avatar over the grid for stellar one-night stands and other funny explorations is the least of my problems once I've found the Asari Ark, the ark of cosmic delights where cum-ba-yah is on the menu. I'll simply camp there, hoist my colored panties, get rid of that fuckin S.A.M. peeper implant and have some galactic fun, leaving the conquest of the Helios cluster to the heroes that don't know better yet. May the shuttle canopy be with them, always. Have a nice day in space, stormtroopers. Ooops, already Year 16 since the Morrowind Fan Board Initiative (later called The Nexus) was founded by one Robin Scott aka DarkOne the year before game release when we took the red pill and became inspired, even creative, more or less. There are indeed some things in this virtual world, folks, that will never change. Some things do change though, and not always for the better.
Kendo 2 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Have you ever played a narrative rpg? Do you even know what they are?
Kriegera Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 They clearly need more dev time if even basic facial animations are this wonky. Pity EA doesn't do delays, if they did this might have a shot at "mediocre" as opposed to "disaster."

You know I get the distinct feeling that Bio is intentionally "scuttling the ship" in an attempt to shake EA off their ass. They basically admitted that they fuckin hated being taken over and that is why they started botching their games. At least they said that starting with DA2.

I'm pretty sure the bigger guns who hated the take over have already left the company. This game is probably being made by a new team, which is probably comprised of Millennials mostly, who are still learning the ropes. Perhaps you guys should take a look at this...

This game is probably being made by a new team, which is probably comprised of Millennials mostly, who are still learning the ropes. Its being made by Bioware Montreal the team that made the ME3 multiplayer and did some work on dlc before that. Probably why there is a larger focus on tightening the combat and new combat mechanics. The original ME team in Edmonton is working on a new IP. Also the ME3 multiplayer didn't really require work on face animations so I could see there being inexperience there.
prinyo Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 ... Also the ME3 multiplayer didn't really require work on face animations so I could see there being inexperience there. I'm always confused by this way of thinking. Are we talking about a family business where the team is "set in stone" or about a company that employs people? And are we talking about an indie developer who can't afford to pay? There is an AAA developer creating an AAA game. The way it usually works with other business in other areas is - they need people that are good in doing something - they hire such kind of people. Or they sub-contract the work they see they lack the potential to do in-house. There is no excuse for the animations or character designs - if it is bad it is simply because they didn't care about them. it is strange that this was not a priority when creating a story-driven game, especially now when people have played TW3.
winny257 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Who now do not play WANTS is itself to blame. Edit: this is the german trailer.
Kargrin Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Why EA won't give them more time ( or did they even ask)? No one will know They need to stop branching the development... They are releasing PR videos with glaring bugs (ghosting, animations, meshes) and that's weeks before the release. Even IGN! said the game was bugged as hell.

I wouldn't call it an excuse, just rationalizing what likely is going on. That team impressed someone at EA with the ME3 multiplayer which made ungodly amounts of money so they were given a chance. Internet is on fire with how bad the animations look so hopefully that means someone will do something about it. You have to imagine someone at various levels of management and someone reporting to EA's board saw dailies of this game saw milestone reports of this game which would have to have included cut scene animations. So all the way up the chain people signed off on this being ok for some reason. If i had to venture a guess from EA's perspective they were more concerned about the multiplayer cash cow. People probably should have been more concerned years ago when the entire original ME team either left or moved onto another project though, its kinda like whats going on with Halo and Gears of War. Original teams move on and a second studio is moving in to try to carry on the mission.

I never understood why game companies use Hollywood stars as voice actors. "Wow! Natalie Dorman is gonna voice an npc with less than 500 lines of dialogue! I gotta buy Amdromeda so I can hear that!" Game compaines really oughta take a page from CDProjekt's play book and hire a small army of talented voice actors. People don't buy games based on movie stars voicing characters. It's not even a consideration. And EA needs to totally redo Sarah Ryder and make her look like Jayde Rossi. They already have the licensing to use her likeness...so FUCKING USE HER LIKENESS. Jezus-H-Christ already with the ugly characters.
Jazzman Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Get the impression that the preemptive, largely juvenile sounding bashing is probably the best (and above all, free) promotion for an upcoming game a company can ever get, simply b/c people are interested in stuff that is in the news, not in stuff nobody has ever heard of or just vaguely at the sidelines. We'll see what the early sales tell us. In the meantime, Aaron Flynn has announced 'plastic surgery' for the release version and the day-one update. Whether these minor corrections lead to a visual improvement or just make things worse (for adults) as in the case of the revised ME:3 ending remains to be seen though.

The fact though is that I wont care as much about voice acting as char models, story, and animations. And the fact that the males look better than females in the game just doesn't even make any sense. I'm just going to track as many of the original creators of Bio games and see what they end up working on. Their experience alone should ensure a good game at the very least.
