windpl Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Mods on consoles? item/quests maybe, anything more will make it bloat with scripts.
trpd Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Can be a cultural thing but is it superweird? (i'm honestly asking, to me it's like "of course", but i can get why it's not for everyone the same, i just wonder if it's honestly weird for other people to cheer when glad/enthousiastic/happy?) Well... it's weird to get that enthusiastic specifically about a game presentation, if anything. Or perhaps it's not weird at all, and we're merely grim fucks. I think most of the audience is press and that what they are expected to do. They want people to read the news and so it happens cheers liven things up. Also feeling propel in people - like when you see someone yawn you will start yawning too, same with laughing and probably hearing enthusiastic cheers also make us a bit more excited.
windu190 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Cheering during game presentations is nothing new though. It happens all the time. And honestly I don't find it weird at all, they are just excited.
Leito86 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I do wonder what does console compatability mean for mods... Will it be harder to make them or even limit what can be made? Doubtful. It'll be a major detriment to modding if we're now limited to making mods compatible with consoles....jesus fucking christ....
Leito86 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 So the new CK won't be at launch (early 2016) and mods will eventually be available for PS4 - Todd Howard interview with youtube.
DocClox Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Doubtful. It'll be a major detriment to modding if we're now limited to making mods compatible with consoles....jesus fucking christ....It shouldn't be as bad as all that. The file formats should be the same; papyrus is an interpreted language. We might have some issues with custom shaders or anything that isn't mediated by the engine, but the majority of modders should see no difference. That's if Beth do it right, anyway [edit] SKSE is the big problem I guess. Or F4SE or whatever they call it this time around
Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 where are you seeing this interview with todd and about xbox will have free mods? minus the tweeter thing.
Leito86 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 where are you seeing this interview with todd and about xbox will have free mods? minus the tweeter thing. Youtube's coverage. The interview is over now but you can probably catch a re-upload somewhere in a few hours.
DoctaSax Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Yes Sir. As you say Sir. Please don't hurt me Sir. You're censoring me more than I am you. I had a good vibe over FO4 coming out - and it's not Beth who's ruining it. Well... it's weird to get that enthusiastic specifically about a game presentation, if anything. Or perhaps it's not weird at all, and we're merely grim fucks. People like things. It's allowed.
Kendo 2 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Even though I don't play female characters unless there is a distinct game advantage (FO3 BlackWidow Perk or Skyrim's Agent of Dibella and the Stromcloak side of the Civil War quest), I'm VERY happy a female protagonist is included. Some of the best clothing and character cosmetics modders are women and Bethesda games wouldn't be the same without the content they make. Then there's the more base reason. ADULT MODDING. \o/ Whoo-hoo! \o/ Even though I don't play girls, I like making super skimpy stuff for them to wear and FO4 just wouldn't the same without G-strings and high heels. I wonder what Ashal is going to name the next incarnation of what he does? Sexout then Sexlab...so what's next? Sexout4? SexVault? PipSex? Maybe we should start a new thread...
pantherlux Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 g-string power armor with jetpack high heels.. Kendo 2.. im ready xD
Dreamweaver Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 So...Jennifer Hale please as Female VO? I couldn't recognise the wife's voice, though it didn't sound like Hale to me. The husband is almost certainly Troy Baker, who's done a great job in everything I've played with him in it. (Booker in BioShock Infinite, Joel in The Last Of Us and the first male voice in Saints Row 4 for example.) Did anyone recognise the female VA?
Guest Real Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Todd Howard he talks about modding a bit in this interview.
Kendo 2 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 g-string power armor with jetpack high heels.. Kendo 2.. im ready xD ME TOO. I have unreleased stuff for FO3/NV and if we get a Creation Kit as early as January 2016, I can wait....maybe....
Corpus Vile Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I think most of the audience is press and that what they are expected to do. They want people to read the news and so it happens cheers liven things up. Also feeling propel in people - like when you see someone yawn you will start yawning too, same with laughing and probably hearing enthusiastic cheers also make us a bit more excited. Yes, that all makes sense. I guess I'm just slightly oblivious to marketing strategy. People like things. It's allowed. Well... for the most part, yes.
Guest Real Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Todd Howard Just told the XBOX ONE crowd That FO4 Would have access to all PC made mods Be Free. -------------- Whoops repeat oh well. Just saw it on Spike TV while waking up eh. This scared me, just had to find a source. The operative word is "can". As in can be shared. So they wont nessescarily have access to all mods, but modders can push to the xbox platform. https://youtu.be/p5iowfsgiDs?t=351
Sacremas Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 And possibly PS4 as well, but that's more up in the air. Creation Kit's coming in early '16, then shortly after that it'll be mods for the Xbone, then maybe PS4. They were cheering when he said that of course you can be female because of the tons of rumors out, like good old SandraReed that said that you can only play as male. Being only to be able to play as one part of a married couple with a kid will put a lot of gay players off from this however. But considering you could marry same-sex in Skyrim, I don't think the LGBT community's all cut off unless they can't handle someone becoming gay, maybe the 50s era was just a lot of anti-gay and the character was in the closet? If they can't make that kind of leap however... fuck em. Definetly getting the Pip Boy edition, and I'm going to be keeping my phone in it permanently.
Kendo 2 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I watched the demo trailer YET again. When the protagonist is talking to Mr. Handy you can see the grass and bare tree branches moving with the CGI 'wind'. Pretty cool. So c'mon and release the fucking game arleady! Jeezus!
Dreamweaver Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted this in the other thread about skills. Just an observation on the skills being absent: I just watched the presentation again and when he's modifying the weapons you can see a panel pop up on the right of the screen when working on laser or plasma weapons that lists Science Rank 1 (and sometimes 2) as a requirement. Another requirement of "Gun Nut" ranks pops up for some of the other weapons/mods.
Guest Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 i would have liked to have seen some reference to mouse and keyboard controls....none that i could find, also and i hope I'm mistaken when you enter dialogue it looks like it goes into Witcher mode that's a deal breaker right there,it seems like the game got a big dose of consolitis , some people may say that's a added feature just seems like they took more out than they put in guess i'll have to wait and see the Youtube gameplay vids pop up, note this isn't a hate rant it's a concern rant
Kakabishan Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 If i learnt anything from E3 Demo presentations, the product shown will definitely change somehow in the final release launch, or they show the really good stuff to mask the really bad/removed stuff (Like from previous Fallout titles) present within the game. But so far, from what I've seen, damn it looks gorgeous and has a nice assortment of new things within. But thats not to say how much more stuff has been removed/dumbed down and if they did away with human companions, and the shoddy dialogue, and the bugs... Ooohh the bugs..
afa Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 CK the program is PC only sounds reasonable and will come out after launch. Transferring mod to Xbox will be even later and then maybe PS4. Don't know how the modding between console and PC will work exactly. Will this limit PC modding or not first and foremost? The console hardware limit just simply can't handle what is possible on the PC. Here is this batch of 4k textures and high res model which will brings PC to their knees, yet here it is for console? Also "All mods" might be a weird term to use. Does this really mean all mods has to go through their hosting site? or else how can they secure all mods to transfer to console? According to the interview they mention the talking dialog is actually more dynamic than the past, you can even talk to two people at once by turning the head towards the NPC and make a selection. If it is something that is easily recreate in modding tool it might be interesting. It feels like the game is going to be better playing and more of a game than a sandbox, don't know how I feel about that. Companion will probably still be around I can't imagine they set up the entire system for it just for a dog. Also I guess everyone who plays a female PC will be a MILF now.
Kendo 2 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 <snip>But thats not to say how much more stuff has been removed/dumbed down and if they did away with companions, and the shoddy dialogue, and the bugs... Ooohh the bugs.. No way of knowing for sure, but I think Bethesda learned after Oblvion that players want followers/companions. Even IF human followers aren't in the vanilla game, modders will figure out how to add them since the 'Pal' sherperd dog has follower functions. The nuts and bolts are there, they'll just need to be put together in a new way. But I'm pretty sure there will be stock vanilla followers; we just don't know about them yet. Also I guess everyone who plays a female PC will be a MILF now. One very minor concern about the whole 'forced marriage' part of the plot MIGHT be how gay and lesbian gamers react/relate to it. But that's on them since it's just a game. *pushes that on-line firestorm into Bethesda's lap and runs away*
afa Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 ...some people discover that about themselves after marriage. FO4 will be a story of a woman/man discovering their true nature 200 years after marriage walking through a nuclear wasteland searching for survival, acceptance, love, and self. Coming to a theater near you, directed by M Night Shyamalan.
