geonosis Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Did you guys see that shit when the main character in power armor jumped off the roof and JET PACKS lit up to take him to the ground?! I hate to say this, but I'm pretty stoked about FO4 now. I don't know if I can wait a year after release to buy it. I'm such a push-over game whore! You are not the only one. Too bad I missed a lot of stuff, only saw the last 30 minutes of the Show, but I am so pushed from "waiting for the bargain bin" to buying it in November So, here is a question: Did they rework the character generation? no sliders you sculpt your char in creation
Morra Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Amazing presentation. Didn't have so much fun watching an E3 presentation in years. Can't wait for Fallout to roll out!!!
Captain Cobra Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Still some things that I'm concerned about (Brahmin caravans are probably a lie, voice dialog) but man I've been #BTFO hard. I was wrong about Fallout 4 and it feels good.
Buddy Christ Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 no sliders you sculpt your char in creation Sounds hard for someone as artistically challenged as me. I hope they will put up the showcase as a recorded video soon, so I can watch the whole thing And I just hope Beth will not start their region lock BS again, if the original version gets censored in Germany again.
Leito86 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Cool stuff: Character face (body?) sculpting Weapon and armor crafting World Space House crafting Meh stuff: UI Character conversation cutscenes... Regardless, I'm stoked!
Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I think it's pretty clear for those who had their doubts Fallout franchise will never ever go with the 1 gender approach. I do not like the fact that I can't select a voice type for either gender, but this is better than just reading dialogue and hearing my player make moans and groans every time they get hurt. What I didn't see tonight is any form of sprint animation like in Skyrim, but then again we didn't get any real good in game footage. Just more sneak peaks.
pantherlux Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 ok... i think its time to scrape my caps together and get this game then... only because of one word: f*cking jetpack in my power armor !!!
bjornk Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Will there be more interviews about FO today? Worth waiting a bit more?
Riggswolfe Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 It's Bethesda, there will be modding. They've not taken it out before and they're not dumb. They know the modding keeps the games in people's consciousness for very little effort on their part. They said it was an enhanced creation engine which I think is the Skyrim engine, so that should mean mods will be coming out relatively quickly.
Kendo 2 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Did anyone mention "At All" anything about Partners or followers other then the Dog? I didn't hear a word about it, nor anything about a G.E.C.K. or any support for Modding what so ever. Did I miss something? or is modding out the window on FO4. Nothing was mentioned other than it uses the creation engine.
Asrienda Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 omg i cant even kill me plz and bring be back in 5 months for fallout4
Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Oh believe me. I'm not going to rush and buy the game. As amazing it looked tonight, I'm sitting this out to see what lies ahead with modding and if there is going to be a paid 2 mod system. But it's pretty clear this is what we are getting since it's releasing in November. I have a rig to build before I even consider buying this game and even that DOOM that was another eyecandy. What I liked about the small ingame footage we seen was seeing the rad scorps coming out of the ground instead. Same with molerats. The whole weapon customization, just wow... A hint of what I picked up when Todd was talking about building structures, turrets and what not is that it looks like we will be seeing many random encounters. Not just by raiders.
Zor2k13 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 They are shoehorning the creation kit aka game editor into the game itself for doom and fallout so no more separate software to debug they just have to debug the game only. This all goes back to the paid mod fiasco we have been bitching about around here for a long time, they are gonna lock that shit down HARD so you will probably need some registered online game account to make mods as they were saying everything is handled through bethesda.net aka ripoff of battle.net it is really obvious where they are going with this shit. Mods will be locked down obviously for monetization and modding in general will be less detailed. We don't know yet if we can add meshes and textures like we can now but they might even keep that out so who knows. What I am saying is WE ARE SCREWED! no more creation kit well hey it was buggy anyway but now less options and mods might get boring etc. This sucks, unless they say more about the modding side of things soon I don't see myself playing fallout 4 or getting involved in any of the online crap from the other games... look how the only elderscrolls thing they had to offer was some console availability of that TURD of a game ESO they only had that and some shitty hearthstone ripoff to show us for anything elderscrolls. That fallout phone game is just a gimmick to get people paying attention to them. They want money from the dumbass cell phone crowd and they want some money from hearthstone success so hey just copy it problem solved! As I type this I can see a bunch of new replies notifications popping up but I am not a happy camper like some of you are, I don't like the whole 50s bombed out wasteland genre I only want to see another elderscrolls game. They could have even went to the extreme and tried to make a elderscrolls of the future game that would have been cool to see but nope, just copy blizzard and throw people a bone with fallout 4 then copy blizzard strategy for mods and modding. I think people are gonna be suckered in by all the new content and not mind the locked down modding so much. Oh and bugfesta can skip over steam bs by linking it all to that bethesda.net shit so at least I can be happy about one thing, gabe gonna be mad:-) Oh well, get back in the pile everyone the future is still fucked up we gotta get back to preventing people from having kids with gay sex get back in the pile! Back to skyrim and other old shit oh well.
Morra Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Will there be more interviews about FO today? Worth waiting a bit more? Right after the show.

Captain Cobra Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Oh well, get back in the pile everyone the future is still fucked up we gotta get back to preventing people from having kids with gay sex get back in the pile! Dude, what?
afa Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Same engine again...well we'll see how that goes. I am going to guess CPU intensive again. Modular armor looks interesting, but I wonder if it is only for power armor. The pre-nuke part is likely the tutorial with the post nuke part being the main game. 200 years later I wonder how much of the story is going to be based around the two parents characters and the child if any. Customizing the looks of both sounds like they could do something cute with the kid with combining both parents' looks. They didn't talk about the story at all which might be alarming, but I never care much for story in a Beth rpg, not what I am here for. Or it might have a crazy twist where you get to play as both characters and or the kid which, from a mechanics stand point, could be interesting. Still not a day one purchase, will wait for how the mod scene plays out.
Gameplayer Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 13,000 lines of Dialogue of Player Voice.
Loogie Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Creation Engine is good - means modding is full steam ahead. No dialog trees is what's alarming to me. Dialog trees are a huge part of Fallout.
Gameplayer Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 I needs help Fallout Shelter need PC playable download XD
Kargrin Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Ayy lmao gamebr...creation engine 2.0 Actually not bad... their silence about mods mean they'll keep the way it is then?
Zor2k13 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 All that audio dialogue how much space is it gonna take up on a pc? then how much space is it gonna take up on a crap console? Hey remember how people were saying that leaker was fake? wut about now huh? Seems only the leaker info was out of date a bit thats all. Creation engine is bad if we don't get separate software for it and are stuck using it as part of the game only like it currently looks in the presentation.
