I have assets, expansion, and integrated, I thought they could only be applied through SexLab interactions, and the only SexLab mods I have allow for sex between my female PC and male NPCs, so how did Mirabelle from the college end up with these equipped forever more? She's wearing buckled high heels that can only be from this mod, since all my clothing mods are more lore friendly than these, and her inventory viewed through console commands doesn't list these. Just her vanilla college robes and boots (both listed as 'worn'), and the book she's reading. And since the items in this mod were built for my PC's body and she's wearing vanilla robes, there's a 6” gap between her legs and feet. I used the "resetinventory" command and although it unequipped a cloak applied by the "Wet and Cold" mod (so I know it worked), the silly bondage heels remain, which is another indication that they're from this mod, since they're impossible to remove. >.< Edit: Oh, awesome, ALL the women in Winterhold are wearing these and similar. Guess I'm installing this even though it was a requirement of something else. *Sigh*

I've listed my load order below in-case anyone had similar problems arising from a different mod. After doing some more testing, though, I've figured out that the animations for straitjackets work as intended whenever equipped by a mod or from my inventory. Stocks, armbinders, and elbowbinders seem to be the only ones that cause problems. Additionally, the non-devious device items such as the various rope bondage items from ZaZ Animation Pack also have their animations work normally. I'm not sure if any of this helps find the cause or not, but here's hoping. Changing load order mid-playthrough is risky.

When it is equipped on PC it is seen visually and animations are playing, but in inventory it is not equipped and game does not recognise it as equipped. DCL cheat removes all exept this and tells dditems=0. When not equipped, this item could not be dropped (game crash immediately) and could not be placed in conteiner (equippes instead). After it eqipped while trying to place in chest, it could be unequipped normally and then placed in chest.

I don't seem to have that item in my game, but I do have DDX and DCL installed. If it's not from either of those mods, then that might be why DCL doesn't fix it.

This playthrough is only a week old, and DD (as well as all but a few of my other mods, and 100% of my SexLab mods) has been installed since I left Helgen, yet I enter the college for the first time and they all look like hookers in a blizzard, lol. The only changes I've made to load order were ones that were required either because I added a new mod, or because another mod wasn't working right where it was positioned (since LOOT doesn't work as well anymore, so I mostly have to just use my own judgement on load order now). This is required or else you will see what your screenshots are showing - invisible devices (because you don't have the meshes for most of them until you build them) and when the device mesh replaces a body part, or the entire body, that leads to those parts disappearing. There's a tutorial here if you need one, and there are other guides out there as well.

It's worked just fine the previous times I've installed it, but now that I think about it this is the first time I've tried doing it using Vortex. Maybe that's the problem? EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out. Had to relink the file to Vortex.

olonolo Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I've installed DDA, DDI, and DDX 4.2 correctly (I think) ran Bodyslide, FNIS etc. In game the devices show up in the 'Add Item Menu' and they all fit my NPC's well, and the animations are working. My problem is: I would like to get a 'Black Ebony Chastity Belt Open' but it doesn't show up in the Add Item Menu. The list is also missing the Red, White and Silver chastity belts. DDX has a gold chastity belt that's closed but I think that is the only belt showing. DDA shows a steel padded chastity belt, both closed and open and I tried converting these to ebony on the tanning rack by reading the book, using Ebonite Solution etc. but the steel belt does not show up in the tanning rack menu so I'm not given that option. Is there any way of getting these Ebonite belts? Thanks in advance for your help.

(If wearing a corset, any worn belt will change to match it though.) If something doesn't show up in the AddItemMenu list for a mod it's because it doesn't exist in that mod as a playable item. Are you thinking of restraints from another mod, like DD Equip, Cursed Loot or Captured Dreams?

Yeah, I unzipped all the DD stuff and yes there are no ebonite versions of the belt in the core files. However: 1. There is a steel belt (open and closed) in DDA that you should be able to change the texture on to ebony. I seem to recall in the earlier versions of DD you were able to do this. Why have the book (which allows you to craft chastity belts) and the ebonite solutions if you can't use them. In this version of DD the solutions are usable on other items, why not the belt? 2. A standalone gold ebony belt (closed only) already exists in DDX. It would be simple to make the black, red and white ebony textures apply to that mesh as well. 3. Yes, I'm aware that combining the belt with a corset will change the belt texture to match the corset, which is all the more frustrating because you know the ebony textures exist for the belt. It doesn't make any sense. 4. I'm 100% sure that I crafted standalone ebony belts in all the colours in previous versions of DD. 5. And finally, yes Captured Dreams have the belts in all the colours. Not sure how that works. Can't help but feel that something is screwed up here. The books, the key to the forbidden bookshelf, the note on Urag's desk all exist in this version even though the quest is no longer available. The ebonite solution, the red and white dyes are available and work on some items but not on all. Anyway, enough ranting. I wonder if DD Equip would be compatible with this version of Devious Devices. The only problem is it's yet another mod added to the list.

Just installed all this and Bodyslided but on loading the game I've got this: According to the various MCMs she is not wearing anything DD. She can move and is doing an idle for wearing a yoke. Walks and jumps too.

All I can say is that I've been using the three core DD mods for a few years in almost every game I play, and I honestly can't remember ever being able to change the colours of the metal belts. As far as I can recall ebonite solutions have only ever been used to modify leather/ebonite items. And while textures do of course exist for the corset belts in black, white and red, they use completely different meshes to the standalone belts, which need different textures. If you tried to apply a corset belt's texture to a standard belt you'd likely end up with a patchwork mess. Hopefully one of the DD team can correct me if I'm wrong about any of that, and to be fair I haven't touched the forbidden bookcase for a long time - even since long before the quests were removed - so I might have missed changes in how the devices are crafted.

If you say it's normal I'm sure it is but Zaflis (and others reading this) don't know you the way I do.

She said (about a year ago) that this can be caused if a mod tells DD to use a binder but isn't specific about what to use (that is, it is a problem with referencing DDx. Are you using any older mod that might have an issue like that?

It can take a while to go through my notes and memories to find it and what I did to get rid of it. RL is calling in an hour My stomach tells me something with the default idle is messed up. Maybe that's a thread to follow. You have PCEA2 running? MCM set/reset the idle maybe ? "Simple actions" is another mod that intervenes in the idles ... maybe I fixed it by just entering/leaving one of those actions.

Does her menu show she has a yoke? Does she have one listed on the left side of the UI screen when you bring it up in the console (these are usually listed in red)? While you have that up, what was the last mod that impacted her?
