Somehow, my PC went straight from the end of 2nd trimester with practically 100% unborn health to menstruation?! Anyone have an idea what the problem might be? Didn't get any other messages either, which was especially baffling....

Posted

Just in case anyone else has the problem and this might help them: I was having an issue with the loading code "FF FF FF FF 00" and the mcm menu never actually initializing. I uninstalled the mod and made a clean save, reinstalled with the new patch and everything is working now. Not sure if it was the patch that did it but if anyone else has this problem try it out :)

If you play one male argonian you cant impregnate any other then argonian, you need to uncheck the "lore" click box.

Oh no, I know that. In the 'Impergnation' tab is where i'm having the issue, it says the "Player is deactivated", meaning I cannot interact in any way with other NPCs using the mod. (I.e. when you wake up and get said message.)

That dont work in 2.8 if you are one male.

I imagine I should download 2.7? Can I get it off of LoversLab, or is it on Nexus as well? Also, is your next post related to me or someone else.

"Why is Beeing Female considered an Adult mod?"

When you first implimented this mod, the only way to get pregnant was to interact with males using Sexlab and various mods that allowed the baby making process to be viewed and the Female to have a chance to bear fruit.

With the implementation of the overnight, unseen chances with husbands or any male around and not having to have Sexlab at all, this removed that portion of that process and the Female character (and now NPC's) could become pregnant without the player ever seeing the particulars, or even seeing one naked character at all. This was when you added this fine mod to Nexis.

Now, the stigma of the adult nature of this mod, which is combined with the more mature nature of becoming a Mom and how a Stork is not evolved, is from the past use of Sexlab (and previous need for it to make the mod work) and the overall detail used to get to that point that is still a very big part of the mod. That sex can be "Offscreen" instead of having to view such particulars within the game environment means that a lot of the view of Beeing Female as an Adult mod has to do with how the mod details the female body's process and nature as well as the point of fact that one will know where babies come from as well as the past conventions of the Sexlab use to effect the changes to being pregnant.

I think it is good that Nexis can be open minded to allow Beeing Female on the site even with a lot of users that will still use Sexlab to effect the imprecnantion of the females in the game.

Make sure you installed the C.A.N.S. - Framework. -> http://www.loverslab...zing-framework/

I had the same problem (if i understand you correctly), with the MCM menu not appearing on a new game.. and also instant ctds when loading a save with BF v2.4 installed..

installed CANS -> works like a charm

Should CANS be listed as a requirement on the mod details? Maybe a soft requirement, or at least offered as a hint?

I have no idea why this works, but after installing CANS now all my pregnancy related mods (including BF) finally show up in MCM, and they wouldn't without it. This is installing everything very fresh within the last month. I even have the SLIF patch from a couple of days ago. Without CANS, I got no MCM, no bf:test, and no bf:code.

BeeingFemale 2.8.1 FWAbility Patch V01

The patch makes major changes to the structures of scripts and will not work on an existing save game with BF installed.

A new game or a clean save is required.

This patch fixes a number of bugs and also errors occuring due to unattached instances of FWAbilityBeeingFemale and FWAbilitybeeingMale
  • Reduced the script load from the FWCloak spell and prevented multiple applications of effect per actor per cloak event
  • FWCloak update timer is now reset when called by a location change
  • BeeingFemale effects will no longer be applied to temporary actors
  • Moved all FWAbility updates to single updates reducing scripts remaining active with update offsets to those in loaded areas only
  • Removed redundant update loop from FWabilityBeeingMale for non-player males
  • Removed redundant patch code left from version 2.7
  • Fixed a bug in Chaurus infection handling
  • Added native SLIF support
  • Fixed a bug where FWUtility could attempt to cast spells with unloaded actors

If you use SLIF you must either remove the SLIF Patches version of FWAbilityBeeingFemale or allow this patch to overwrite it

Because of the way in which the game engine aggressively deletes effects on unloaded actors you may still see an unattached script instance error if the delete happens in the moments between the validity check and the dispel, but this should be a rare event.

Thanks to qotsafan for providing the native SLIF code and to Tkc and MarkusCook for testing.

Any feedback on bugs (or the lack or them) greatly appreciated!

Hi @ all

@BaneMaster, could you explain, which bug you have fixed with the Chaurus? It´s because i loved EC+, but i realy hate that i had to reset BF after a chaurus infection because of the weird timer bug. AFAIK this is the only bug i ever had with chaurus infection. Or was there another one i didn´t noticed?

If you managed to fix this timer bug, i would realy love to use EC+ and it´s spider addon again.

Thank You

I make no promises but I fixed an issue in the logic that detects Chaurus impregnantion that could have prevented the mod from correctly entering the pregnant by Chaurus State.

So maybe - only one way to find out though! ;)

If you do decide to give it a try please let me know how it goes - we are at 202 patch downloads and unfortunately almost no feedback as to whether the patch is working OK or not - I'm hoping that no news is good news!

Ok, i´ve installed your BF-patch without savegame-cleaning. I just uninstalled BF with MCM, than removed it from the game, load game and created a new save without BF. I reinstalled BF with your patch. Normaly if i installed BF midgame, i got no compatibility with SL and got no creature pregnancy, but this time with your patch it has full functionality. AFAIK all at my game works fine. Cycle goes well, and pregnancy went through all trimenons. All phases works, and til now, i got no bugs.

If i decide to give EC+ a new chance, i´ll report if timer works or not.

Ok, now here´s the report of BF with EC+

If you are not already pregnant in BF, than EC+ seems to work well. After a few seconds, timer on BF´s MCM goes on Paused and widget switches to chaurus pregnant state, and timer starts from 0 and goes up.

But something weird is happen, and you can see it easyer, if you are already pregnant by BF.

If you are already pregnant by BF and you got inseminated by a EC+, than you can see that BF MCM switches to Paused and the widget switches to chaurus pregnant state. Timer works well. But BF itself keeps going on through its pregnancy and the trimenons and keeps scaling up the body. I recognized it as my girl was in the second day of chaurus pregnancy and i got notified from BF that she enters Labour-state. After Egg-laying from EC+, BF entered Abortus-mode, played the desired animations, switched widget to give-birth-state and i got notified that my girl had lost her child, BF MCM stil on Paused. Than BF enteres replanishment phase like it should, widget and BF MCM timers activated and worked.

So, i know that an pregnancy from EC+ will abort your BF pregnancy and you looses the child, but it should be imediatelly at the beginning of the chaurus pregnancy, and not after the end.

ok, short:

Timers and Widget works. No more weird 270 days-bug.

BF went on through the menstrual cycle and the pregnancy phases anyway and keeps scaling up the body, even if it tells you that it is paused.

BF Abortus happenes after EC+Birth

The new version now includes:

  • Infection by a Chaurus Parasite will now cause any pregnancy to be lost within a few hours of infection occurring
  • Menstruation will begin shortly after birthing Chaurus Eggs

It should be OK to upgrade from patch V01 to V02 as long as no female is currently infected with a Chaurus Parasite.

Hi BaneMaster

I did a short test with your updated patch.

BF´s Abortus occure right after chaurus infection starts. Playing animations, notified me, that i have lost my child, than enters replanishment phase with afterpains and Paused status. Works.

After Chaurus Birth BF swithes to Menstuation and MCM Duration Timer starts, widget switches to menstruation and timer starts at 0. Works.

But: During paused status of replanishment phase BF keeps already calculating the scales of the Body and Breasts and keeps on reducing them like it does, if replanishment would work normal. This should normaly not be of such a problem, because chaurus pregnancy of EC+ normaly scales way faster up than replanishment of BF shrinks, but if your replanishment phase is not finished before chaurus pregnancy ends (mean BF scales did not reached normal value of 1) than the scale-values BF actualy have at the end of chaurus birth (or let me say at the moment BF swithes to menstruation phase) will remain in SLIF, maybe until your next BF-pregnancy, wich means your body looks pregnant all the time till your next BF pregnancy. I tryed to reset Breast/Body sclales option in BF MCM, but it don´t work. I said "Maybe", because i don´t know, if SLIF is asking BF for actual values at its update scan, or if it will only react on value-changes told to it by BF. But i recognized an separate option in BF´s Cheating-system, where you can make your girl pregnant and switches the phases, which sets the girl to fully replanished instead of only changes the phase of the cycle. Maybe you can include this function in your patch. It should remove all buffs and debuffs from BF pregnancy from the Character and also should reset the scaling values, if i´m remembering right.

For those of you who have downloaded Patch V02 already, I have found I had left a debug notification in the Chaurus Pregnancy state.

The notification has now been removed and the corrected version re-uploaded if you want to grab a clean copy.

Just wanted to report one weirdness with Bane Master's patch, though not sure if it is because of his patch or not.

Started a new female character and after I finished creating her I happened to check the active effects right away. For some reason I had both the "Beeing Female" and "Beeing Male" active effects. Not sure why, the previous character I created with the patch did not have this happen nor did any characters before the patch.

I tried cycling through the states with debugging enabled to see if that would dispel the effect but no joy, nor did saving and reloading. It only went away when I used the "Reset PC" option in the MCM menu.

Again, not sure if this is because of the patch or not, but had not run into this before. My only guess is that you start off as a male in the racemenu and so the effect gets applied then, and then if you change to female the effect should have been removed but wasn't for some reason? Doesn't appear to be a big issue, just something strange I thought I would report.

Posted

So I am having an issue where the wearable baby item does not show up on NPCs.  One of my followers had a baby and when I check her inventory, the baby is equipped, but it does not show up.  However, a purple square is appearing near the follower.  It appears and then disappears periodically.  If I take the baby item from the follower and equip it myself though (on a male PC), the baby is visible as it should be.  Any ideas?

EDIT: Never mind. This appears to be a custom race issue.

this might seem like a dumb question but i've tried searching and havent found an answer. I'm trying to change the clothing my children are wearing. Ive tried putting clothing in their inventory but they don't change into it. I'm also using the RS children overhaul if that makes a difference.

I know i probably could also do it if i got AFT back and just make them followers to edit their outfits, but i would have to replace EFF which i find much more appealing and simple, however if that is the only way then I'd be willing to do it.

Posted

Every time there's combat, my PC's cycle timer is set to "Pause" instead of showing the timer for the current phase of her cycle. How can I turn off the "pause" thing? It's not something I want at all.

When that happens, I have to restart the cycle timer every single time in the MCM. It's very annoying to put it mildly.

Other than that, I absolutely love BeeingFemale and definitely one of my favorite mods. And hopefully I'll see a SSE version of it someday.

With the default Children this doesn't work. When you use RSChildren, you can use all armors for them

I have updated the patch file in the original post to V03 12/11/2017.

BeeingFemale 2.8.1 FWAbility Patch V03 12/11/2017

The new version now includes:

  • Fixed Belly scale not reset at the end of Chaurus Infection
  • Fixed detection of Chaurus infection for NPCs
  • Fixed player widget timer in inconsistent state after Chaurus infection ends

It should be OK to upgrade from patch V01 or V02 to V03 as long as no female is currently infected with a Chaurus Parasite.

Reposting this since it was on the old site:

Question on contraception:

I've been digging into the scripts a bit, and I am confused about something regarding the way contraception is functioning.

Supposedly, you take the pill, and it is effective for 2 days, if you do not take another pill before the end of 2 days, the effectiveness of contraception is supposed to degrade.

The pill widget has a timer on it, when you take the pill, the timer says 5 days (and a few hours, forget how many).

My experience so far, if I take a pill, the mcm menu shows you should take another pill within 2 days, however the widget says 5 days. If i do not take another pill within 2 days, the MCM menu shows "Distortion", the widget shows time left (so after 2 days we'd be at ~3 days left), but the effectiveness does not change.

Not until the widget's timer of 5 days is completely up, does the effectiveness start to go down (at which point the widget is now showing a negative value for time remaning).

So basically, at this point, you take a pill, and you are good (at whatever effectiveness it is at) for 5 days before it actually starts to degrade. This does not seem like the intended functionality of it degrading after 2 days?

I've been looking through the scripts, but it is not at all clear to me where the timer calculations for contraception really are and how it is coming to it's values, as well as at what point it recognizes that it is time to degrade effectiveness. Anyone have any insight?
