New Tv Ad - Dilbert by Scott Adams

When the constant bitching over gender issues infiltrate comic strips, not to mention a NASA question panel (see TIME Magazine, Sept. 2019), you know things are getting out of hand. Thanks, extremists, you've ruined one of my last bastions of freedom from your insanity. IDK what world they live in, but I don't see even a quarter of the crap they keep going on about. Neither do my female coworkers, all of whom are earning the same as the men and are just as sick and tired of people trying to paint them as "women" instead of "individuals."

The neighbors down the street, they were at it again last night, going at each other like a bunch of angry schoolchildren. There was a lot of door slamming as well.

It's like they only exist at a certain time in the night, because that's the only time they go off.

Taking a break from playing Skyrim for an hour to watch some TV and have dinner then coming back to it only to have it CTD on launch despite there being NOTHING fucking changed between sessions. LITERALLY NOTHING! I can't troubleshoot NOTHING, game.

What the fucking shit?!

Then you get finished, realize your code is poorly optimized, brute force shit and the process starts all over while you streamline it. And then you happen to be glancing over someone else's programming, realize they set up something way better in a way you hadn't thought of, and the process starts all over again. And then.... well the madness never stops... ?

You ever wake up in the middle of sleeping, but then you just can't fall asleep anymore? Like, you try but all you do is turn from one side to another, keep thinking of the most random shit ever? And before you know it it's morning already and you gotta be somewhere? Or how about when you can't sleep at all? Even though you're tired and know very well you can't cancel the sleep either and you have to be somewhere early the next day.

Got this family, about the age of mine, who did as many do: Moved here to retire.  Note: I've lived here my whole life.  So.  Look around the neighborhood, and you see lights at night, of course.  But at a dim/respectable level.  Everywhere except... you guessed it, my two neighbors.  The one across the street is the worst, for two reasons.

1. Their lights are the brightest, by far.

2. They don't even LIVE in the fucking house.  That's right.  It's a retirement house, that they bought, and have, truthfully, done a nice job of fixing up.  But the lights.  It's enough to land a helicopter with at night, no problem.

Fucking suburbanites.  "I wanna move to the country where it's nice and quiet and peaceful and natural."  Five minutes later: "ARGH!  I can't live without my city lights/noise/craziness!  MUST BRING IT HERE!"  Yeah.  Fuck them.  Go back to your goddamned city, and take your city with you when you go.  Good ridence!

Used to be I absolutely HAD to have the porch light on to see the keyhole for the lock.  One really dark night, I forgot to turn the light on going out, and got back after dark.  Realized, to my dismay, that the two neighbors were putting out plenty of light to see the lock with.  I was, and am, PISSED.

Isn't that something you can call the HOA about?

If the light/noise polution is that bad and causing issues you could complain about it.

The fuck are they using as the lights anyway for it to be that severe? Car headlamps? lmao. Or one of those really big and bright LED lamps that are usually hung really high in malls or warehouses? Reminds me of people who keep their car headlights in dipper mode even when it's not required, fucking hell, blind me why don't you!

Deep down makes me wanna crash into them head on for that shit.

I'm not sure if you are referring to Ivy, but if you are, there is a quite long section dedicated to all royalty free music featured in the mod and links to their owners, in the mod description and Frequently Asked Questions section.. with proper sourcing. I don't know about other mods. As for new areas, and quests with a 'good story' (what a subjective thing that is!) you might reconsider your opinion when you've played with 5.0.

And if you say every single companion is an 'asshat'.. then I retort; and say there are very few games out there commercially made with companions that feature 6000+ lines of dialogue.

To compare: The ENTIRETY of Mass Effect 3 features 40.000 lines of dialogue. The ENTIRETY of Mass Effect 1 features 25.000 lines of dialogue. The ENTIRETY of Mass Effect 1 features 20.000 lines of dialogue.

Ivy has 6000+.

That's a free mod, utterly free, that no one forces you to play with.

3 guesses as to what pisses me off.

Personally, I ignore the mods that I don't like. I will complement the author for hard work he or she did on the mod out of respect knowing the shear mountain of work it took to do the mod.

I really hate when someone comes and dumps on someone's work. Don't like it, move on is what I say. @Reginald_001 you have nothing to worry about. You have done a lot of work (and I wasn't even aware of the sourcing of the royalty free music) If people don't like it.. there are many other mods they can go use.

I have an air mattress, so anytime I go on a trip and stay in a hotel this pretty much describes my night(s).

Waiting 4 hours at an online auction to buy a piece of hardware.

Finally get first in line. Go to the checkout.

"Due to suspect circumstances online payment from your bank account has been blocked."

WTF?????

Call the bank.. 'Oh sorry.. We blocked the wrong bank account. It should be unblocked in 5 minutes..'

Go back to the auction to find out I lost the hardware to someone else.

Its 8 AM. I need to be sleeping to be prepped for an overtime night shift. There is a crane like vehicle parked right outside my window so some roofers can work on my apartment. EVERY, SINGLE, TIME ANY part of this vehicle moves (not just when backing up) it makes this noise, but about 4x as loud,  the entire motion:

And that's not even factoring in all the unavoidable construction noises that little maintenance project is generating or the worker barking orders at each other.

I am seriously thinking about going psycho at the moment. There is a special place in hell for the bureaucrat who decided slow moving vehicles must make that fucking beeping noise for our "safety"???

Forums are filled with the same identical questions, dozens of times because people are lazy and can't be bothered to solve their own problems.

Players ignoring all advice given to them unless they are told specifically how to fix their issue.  They aren't willing to lift a finger to troubleshoot the problem.

Noobs throwing a zillion mods into their game and expecting it to work perfectly with no effort or thought on their part.

Not much of a reply to the above but more of a continuation to my complaint from yesterday.

I spent a good portion of yesterday and a decent amount of time today unfucking Skyrim and I kept CTDing on launch.

Use LOOT for the 90th time, rebuild my Bashed patch, run FNIS and BodySlide again.

Aaaaaaaand... now it works.
I didn't change anything about my load order, my mods, etc. Nothing.
Not one thing.

Skyrim works now.

It was CTDing all morning but now it's okay.

?!?!??!!??!?!?!?!

Whatever, lol. I'm so mad.

Sometimes, Skyrim is much more Sheogorath than Jyggalag. The Divines favor you this day.

I haven't' heard (pun intended) of a craine making such noise every time it moves.  I have lots of construction around where I live and they don't make that much noise. (yes they are very loud naturally but not the beep) wonder if it is some code or other regulation.  A long time ago I worked for a shipping agency. They never had the auto beep for backup. The drivers were required to tap the horn every second as they backed up. They  used the drivers / operators to make sure the areas was clear and the fact movement backward was being done. Can't see why it can't be done with other devices... If someone can't remember to honk a horn occasionally and watch out for what they are doing, they shouldn't be operating such a device. ;)

Turns out it was a cherry picker type vehicle, my sleep deprived brain saw it and thought "crane". Either way the damn thing made that hellspawned beeping noise every time it perform any sort of motion, even when the wheels were stationary. And it got even better once the workers actually made it on the roof. I don't know what the hell they were doing but if its possible to make stomping noises with an industrial drill that's what it sounded like. Its like they were having a contest on what was the loudest noise they could possible generate. And it went on for almost two and half hours.

I would like to add: if you are stupid enough to get run over by a vehicle larger than an elephant that was backing up at the pace of an old lady in a walker that was just evolution running its course. Anyone with an attention span that lacking probably shouldn't be breeding, least Idiocracy become a reality.

Quitting modding Skyrim has been great for improving my sanity. At least when something doesn't work on the current game I'm modding its my fault and not some absurd bug created from the engine's legendary instability. I'd say Skyrim is always Sheogorath.
