That sometimes happens if a bound girl spawns while you have an inventory/container open.

It's not limited to DCL. It's a DD thing. 

 

DD sends the player equip messages for all DD items when they have a menu open, because it seems logical the player is equipping the items.

 

However, DCL (and other mods, like FTM) may equip items on NPCs, even while the player has a menu open.

 

The result is those messages.

 

If DD checked the actor initiating in the equip was (or wasn't) the player, it wouldn't happen. Clearly, for some reason it was awkward to do so.

Perhaps only the target of the equip is available at that point, and so the source of the event can't be tested.

 

Possibly, DCL could avoid them by testing for menu open in the bound-girls script, or possibly it already does, and the problem is caused by script lag effects.

I have this old problem with "removing important children's tags" well I turned all non-essential mod to start DCL and I have still this error... Can someone please help me?

It seems like the ultimate reliable solution is to add a isSilent=false parameter to the end of the arguments of ManipulateDevice, EquipDevice and ForceEquipDevice, and push that message suppression all the way through the call stack.

I'm having a problem with textures not loading, rendering part of the player's body invisible, or items being purple when equipped to pc/npcs.  I've tried multiple batch builds in bodyslide, reinstalling DCL, redownloading it, doing the same with DDI and DDX, and not gotten anything fixed so far.  Help? Yes i know its a .bmp not a .jpg you can directly display in the box, .bmp is the only image type I'm able to actually post, I get error messages otherwise.

It would seem you are missing both geometry and textures for some things.

 

Do you use MO?

 

Did your setup work previously, before you installed DCL 7.1 or DD 4.2 ?

 

There are lots of ways you could end up like this if you use MO improperly, but with NMM, it would be hard to fail at Bodyslide, unless you purposely built into a directory by using that feature... Vortex is another story again.

 

Or, maybe, you are running your Bodyslide on the wrong profile? Could you be running the Bodyslide for your SE, or FO4 install, or something?

Check your Bodyslide is in the right place.

 

Sometimes, these things are caused by racemenu being upset. Does it work if you make a new game with a new character?

 

Without saying what mod-manager you use, or explaining anything about your setup, how you ran Bodyslide, what you built, etc, it's hard to give you much concrete help.

Do you have slavetats or have had it before? It's possible for tattoos to cause body texture change that stays even after mod is uninstalled, so remove those from player before uninstalling it. At least it was the cause for my player having purple skin before. Perhaps even racemenu preset might save it with tattoo but i'm not 100% on that. You can fix that issue by reinstalling Slavetats and go to its MCM menu. Let it process character and it should go to normal.

 

How did you make the jpg? You cannot just rename the .bmp to .jpg, but you need to save it in some of your image editors such as Paint that comes with Windows, Gimp, Photoshop etc...

Are there any disadvantages to wearing arm/leg cuffs? most of the devices seem to have disadvantages listed in the magical effects tab like slower movement speed on boots or lower combat stats on Bras and obvious ones like the chastity belt, but i don't feel like the cuffs really do anything besides just show up on your body

Not 100% sure right now, but i think arm cuffs have a chance to uhm.. unarm? your arrow when using bows, and ankle cuffs a chance you stumble. A few ankle cuffs with chains also restrict your movement, like not beeing able to ride anymore and/or movement speed.

Try FNIS_XXL version? Basically you have too many animations for regular FNIS.

Okay, so this is going to be a weird one.  There's probably a fix earlier in the replies, but we're on 717 pages.

Whenever I interact with a trapped object, the text bubble that pops up with information is written as if it's the PC applying the bondage item to "Bound Girl" and nothing happens.  I have no idea what error could possibly cause this, but it's very much reproduceable in my game.

Any ideas, anyone?

Ironically, this was answered on the previous page.

 

The bound girl messages are irrelevant. Completely harmless. You can ignore them.

 

That you saw them when opening an item is coincidental really, it's not a defect in the trap on that item.

 

 

When the trap code runs, it happens that some other related DCL script code gets to run, and that code runs things, like routine updates on bound girls.

If a bound girl is being spawned and equipped with bondage items when you have your inventory open, the game thinks it's you putting them on her, because you have a menu open.

It's an old, old bug that dates back to the first introduction of bound-girls.

 

DCL could probably avoid it, simply by not doing bound-girl updates when a menu is open.

 

If Kimy wanted to fix it for all mods that use DD, it would (probably) require carefully aligned changes through the entire equip-item call chain, so that equip calls can explicitly hush that kind of message. Even then, the DD-dependent mods that want to take advantage of the fix would also need to update to set the hush parameter to true, as it would presumably default to false for compatibility.

 

Putting the fix in DCL would be easier, so it might happen one day. Who knows?

It would probably still happen occasionally with that fix, due to race conditions.

Hey, having big problems with the stages in Chloe's quest. The stage to talk to the imperial man in the meadery couldn't be completed as he had no pointer and when I found him, no quest dialogue. Restarted the questchain, but it bugged at the white river watch boss chest. Restarted it again, it happened at the stage where you crawl in the collapsed tunnel under Helgen.

Couldn't manage to progress it with setstages but I'm not very good at modding.

Looks good so far! Could see some of the text quest in the console, hoping for the best!

Hello.

 

First, thank you and congratulations for this mod, it is really awesome !

 

I started a new game, everything worked fine for about 5 hours. But since, I have two issues :

 

- The cursed loot events are not triggering anymore (I'm not bound, and I didn't set a maximum devices threshold. Even if I set the chance to 100%, nothing happens). EDIT : My bad, I forgot about the arousal threshold. This problem is fixed.

 

- The Dollmaker sword doesn't apply its effect anymore : I see the glowing effect on the ennemy, but nothing happens after (even on female ennemies).

 

Do you have an idead why this happens ?

The bound struggle animation isn't working for me.  The character just lies on the ground in-between the various struggle dialogue options (wiggle arms, feet, body).  It used to work in version 6, but stopped working in 7.

 

I think it would be more fun if the struggle was done through a mini-game (like in the Thief mod) instead of just a dialogue box and random chance.

That's broken for a while now. I think Kimy said that she wants to rework it.
