If you are talking about the missing hands this a problem with older versions of DD. When "wearing" an armbinder the arms come out but the hands stay in. There is no "fix" of which I am aware but it is supposed to be less of a problem with the newest version of DD.

This is because your bound animations are not playing.

 

Some people have reported this problem is persistent for them, but most people don't have it.

Conclusion: the people with the problem have an installation issue.

 

But nobody has identified a universal cause or solution 

 

However...

 

• Check your FNIS
• Slaverun 3 beta (and some other mods) are known do resets on the animation overrides, continually breaking bound animations.

 

In timking's LO, the biggest standouts are FNIS Sexy Move and Dual Sheath Redux (and a patch for it).

 

Try a new game without those to see if the problem goes away. Sexy Move is a terrible script hog anyway. It was an notable cause of script lag for me.

 

Also, try moving to Mator Smash instead of old Bashed Patch. It will fix problems you don't even know you have  

 

 

This is assuredly an animation problem caused by a conflict of one kind or another. If the quick test doesn't show results, just go through your mods and disable everything (except DD) that's not just a texture or some weather. See if it's fixed. Then enable mods until it breaks. At that point, there you are ... you found the cause.

 

Of course, if it's not fixed in the first case, you might need more drastic measures.

Hi!

 

I just started a new game recently with a (relatively) new (almost full with several merged mods) mod loadorder.

Starting with vanilla start and picking up Chloe, I am now done with her questline (as far as I can see).

The questline equipped some chains on me, necks - hands - ankles interconnected, which had my character holding her hands together in front of her. These were unequipped by The Dollmaker at the end of the questline.

 

My problem is that my character's default pose is holding her hands together in front of her, like when she was in chains.

This is purely cosmetic and has no impact on the game as far as I can see, I can do everything, but whenever her hands are not readied, they are together in front of her.

Is there a way I could reset that so she uses the normal standby pose? Any ideas what I could/should try and/or check?

Sounds like you stackdumped when they were being removed.

 

Try putting on an armbinder, then removing it. Might reset the default.

Thanks, it indeed did reset the default non-ready pose WITHOUT arm restraints.

 

On the other hand, when I equipped a pink armbinder to test, the default non-ready pose of is was that of a yoke (as in the hands are held upwards as if it is in a yoke, while the armbinder is in its proper place), and then I tried a heavy yoke, which had its default non-ready pose as the pose of an armbinder (holding the hands together behind the back). The ready poses had their hands in their proper places though (bound combat is enabled).

 

I tested it on a new game and had the same issue, so it's very likely unrelated to DLC, but any ideas why THAT might be and how I could fix it / find the cause?

They are built into the lists for devious gloves and devious plugs. So the only way to disable them is to disable gloves/plugs completely.

Most likely (but by no means certain) it's a mod that is messing with animation overrides.

 

Sounds like it's looking at your char to decide what animation you're using, then restoring it over and over.

 

If you have any animation replacers, mods with crawling, mods with flying, dual-sheath etc, try testing with them disabled.

Use new games, don't forget to re-FNIS and don't use a Mator Smash.

 

Another possibility is that your DD is crashing a lot. Is there a clue in your Papyrus log?

What do you do for the Chloe Questline? I'm stuck on the part where you have to find whatever happened to the delivery, the one where it says the clue is 'Search Imperial Corpses'. Can't seem to find what I'm looking for, I tried looking for notes and such in the esp file with AddItemMenu 2 and I found the torn note but I can't seem to find it on any corpses?

Keep checking corpses, I missed the one it's in because a spider died on top of it the first time I tried that area. Have you checked all the bodies in the spider room toward the exit?

Invisibility always means a missing mesh file. Re-install the three Devious Devices mods (DDA, DDI, and DDX).

Installation, no. But the order in which Skyrim loads them should be DDA first, then DDI, then DDX. Are you using a mod manager or just putting them in the Skyrim folder?

Again maybe there is no need for a reinstall. You have to build that stuff in bodysliede or it wont show up.

Devious Devices - Assets.esm should be loaded first (higher in the list), followed by Devious Devices - Integration.esm below it, then Devious Devices - Expansion.esm below Integration.

 

Or you might just need to run Bodyslide. If other devices show up and it's just the Hobble Dresses that are invisible, then their specific mesh is missing and a reinstall is necessary.

Hm, I seem to have issues with any animations playing along. Characters run up to me, widget informing what they intend to do in case of rape, next message of pushing to the ground, then they run away, no animation happening other than the stagger. Same goes for solicitation, yet npc when talking after control is regained acts like the act happened. Any sexual animations work just dandy with all the other mods, so is there a conflict? (though no crashes) Would Defeat, Naked Dungeons, Submissive Lola, Captive Dreams have anything to do with that?

 

Also simple slavery according to description has connection with this mod, yet there seems to be some problem. None of stories tagged for this mod are applied and it seems to interfere with simple slavery routine after the auction.
