Deviously Helpless Redux

Description
Deviously Helpless Redux (DHLP) is the updated, fixed up, reworked and tweaked version of the original Deviously Helpless mod! And to borrow it's very fitting, concise and on point description of what it does: So you somehow ended up stuck in an armbinder and are now wandering around Skyrim in it. What's preventing all the bandits from taking advantage of you when you can't resist?

 

When the normally-hostile members of factions like the bandits, vampires or Forsworn notice you approaching in a... well, rather helpless state, they won't even bother attacking and will instead chase you down to fuck and rob! Not only that, but if you happen to be a kinky adventurer who goes dungeoneering wearing vibrating plugs, don't be surprised if a sudden wave of pleasure makes that greatsword slip out of your hands or your spells to fail... and of course, the loud clanking alterting all nearby enemies to find you in your vulnerable state... ☺️

 

This mod has a lot of configuration options, so make sure to check out its MCM and the DHLP_DISTR.ini configuration file in Skyrim's 'Data' folder too for all the options!

 

Features
Configurable Devious Devices - Select what type of restraints will make the player considered 'helpless' for sex attacks to happen, also what types of restraints the enemies can lock on the player. Enemies have a configurable chance to randomly carry restraints with them, and they'll also lock the restraints the player was carrying on her. A separate configurable chance exists for the player to be locked into heavy bondage (armbinder, yoke, etc.) after she's been raped and let go.

 

Steal gold, gear and keys - Attackers can steal the player's gold, equipment and restraint keys. A random percentage of the stolen gold and keys will be distributed among the attackers, the rest is lost forever.

 

Bound gangbang support - Since DDNG 0.4.0, bound gangbangs and group sex is supported, provided there are installed animations. You can configure the chance of gangbangs happening over two-actor animations.

 

Device events - Wearing vibrating plugs, arm cuffs, leg cuffs or boots and cause the player to drop her weapons and trip over respectively, when trying to escape from enemies.

 

Chastity key distribution - Enemies have a chance to have chastity keys on them, so that they can unlock chastity belts (chance configured in DHLP_DISTR.ini)

 

Follower support - Followers will be fucked and restrained alongside the player during sex attack scenes.

 

Creature support - When enabled, creatures will chase and take advantage of a helpless player as well. Only "intelligent humanoid" creatures, like draugr, falmer or giants can unlock chastity belts, steal keys or lock restraints on the player. (extensively configurable in DHLP_DISTR.ini) This content is disabled by default, and by enabling it, you are consenting to be subjected to it.

FAQ
Q: I have encountered an issue!
A: Post a detailed report of the issue in the mod's support thread - what game edition you are on, when and how it happened, what other mods are installed, what is the version of DHLP and its requirements are you using. Enable logging for Skyrim and in the mod's MCM, and attach the log from the time the issue happened. If there are specific steps to reproducing the issue, include them as well. Do not approach me for technical support regarding the mod in direct messages, everything is handled through the thread. I will investigate any properly reported issue.

 

Q: I need the previous version of the mod for a mod list!

A: Only the latest version of the mod is supported and available. I do not maintain that list, I do not support that list, and I will not reupload old versions because somebody else's pack is outdated. Keeping the list updated is mod list author's responsibility, reach out to them about it.

 

Q: Does this work on Skyrim game version 1.5.97?

A: It does not. Update your game to the latest version or install Backported Extended ESL Support.

 

Q: Does this work with the non-NG version of Devious Devices?

A: It does not.

 

Q: Does this work without Kris's Papyrus Extender?

A: It does not.

 

Q: Is this mod voiced?

A: An xVASynth-generated voice pack is available in the downloads.

 

Q: Sex attacks are not happening at all!

A: Make sure your SPID install and config is correct, also check if the DHLP MCM does not say that attacks are suspended - if you think they are stuck, you can unsuspend them with the respective config menu option.

 

Q: A creature is not participating in sex attacks as expected!

A: Due to the lesser animation variety with creatures, and the fact that most shouldn't be "intelligent" enough to handle restraints, a check for available animations is performed before a creature is slotted as a potential rapist. So for example, if the player is wearing a ball gag and chastity belt with an open back, and you have no anal animations for trolls installed, the troll will be hostile. The same troll will chase the player to rape her if she's not wearing a chastity belt and there are vaginal animations involving trolls installed.

This look like a really good update on what was, conceptually, an excellent mod in its time.

 

But as some of the NG series of mods don't work too well with my main game mods, can you confirm that DD NG is really a 'hard' requirement, or can we get away - bad choice of phrase maybe 😛 - with just using plain old DD 5.2? 

 

I really hope that we can, but will it break your mod if we do?

Hi! I just want to ask for a way how I can get my PC in a situation then this mod will be needed? I mean, is there other mods that put DD on your PC in a semi lore friendly way since this mod trying to play as a lore friendly?

It is a hard requirement, in a sense that it would function worse on regular DD due to it being generally slower and missing the needed animations for IdleCowering (which seriously irked back when I was using the OG DHLP and was the reason I've added that animation to NG's repertoire). So whatever limited support I can provide, I won't be able to do so for the cases where NG isn't used (not out of principle or anything, but simply because I use NG myself - and I've no idea how it'll behave without it).

 

That said, there isn't anything in the code that explicitly relies on NG, I think? (at least, yet) You could always try - it's your game after all. 😀

Could try something like Deviously Enchanted Chests, Devious Interests, Laura's Shop, Devious Lore, Devious Followers Redux. There are more mods, just search for "Devious" in the downloads section, since most of them have that word in the name. 🙂

 

Maybe don't install them all at once, or if you do - tweak their settings so your question doesn't turn into "HOW DO I STOP MY GAME FROM EQUIPPING DEVIOUS THINGS AFTER EVERY ACTION" 😆

I get the point on the possible performance issues.  I did try DD NG 0.2.9, which i think I got that from the Discord development trials, and that had decent performance but reduced coverage.  That was a while ago, though, and DD NG is probably less limited in scope than it seemed to be then.   I also had a bad experience with SLA NG, so I'm a wee bit hesitant about NG in general....🙄

 

As this looks like a fairly simple esl, I'll pop it into the game at some suitable point and see what happens.  If it's all good, I'll let you know  🙂

To echo the sentiment of some other people in this thread: Thank you for renovating this mod - it's one of those that's always seemed interesting but was too slow and unreliable to use in practice.

 

My initial experience here (unfortunately on a rather heavily modded game, but at the very end of my load order to ensure priority) is that it gets stuck - the initial behavior works fine (albeit - too fast, perhaps? I walked into a bandit camp with an armbinder and was instantly on the ground, with no intro animation or dialogue), but subsequent events don't trigger afterwards. I'll keep working with it to see if there's some user error or misunderstanding I can clear up.

 

Edit: Also thank you for the link to the crosshairrefevents script hang fix - it's an absolute gamechanger for Naked Defeat.

DD NG has been on 0.3 for some time now, and recently got a major update. Might be worth taking another look at it. Remember that the point of *mod-name NG* is address library and .dll compatibility with any version of SE/AE, and these NG mods usually don't rely as heavily on the papyrus scripting engine, which is great since 99% of save game issues are related to papyrus scripts.

The events have a hardcoded cool down timer of like 15 minutes or so, if I remember correctly, so you can try putting some distance between you and the baddies, short resting for a few hours, and walking back to the scene to see if it works.

 

Btw, the MCM menu has the page where you can check the current status of DHLP (not the cool downs, but the overall status), it says something like "Attack scenes: working/suspended". I had a few occurrences where other mods sent "dhlp-suspend" but forgot to send the "dhlp-resume" thing that makes it operational again (Devious Cidhna does that, for example). If that ever happens, you can reset it on that same page. 🙂

Ah, I didn't expect the 15 minute cooldown. I'll check that out - might be worth adding a config for that duration. I did notice (and appreciate) the reset button!

I already did have a look (!) and downloaded the last two versions! 🙂

 

I'll try 0.3.7 when I get brave enough, or have a new game to try when it won't matter so much if anything breaks!

You don't say which Defeat version you are using, or which DDs you want removed. 

 

But, FWIW, using @Bane Master 's Defeat version, the bad guys can remove, and post intrusive events, reapply Chastity belts

 

Furthermore, in conjunction with the AndrewLRG addon, which applies DDs POST Defeat, I use ....

 

     SXL Devious Devices Helpers SE v1.04.9

 

..... which allows followers to help post event by removing DDs, subject to the player or helper having the right keys. 

 

(There's another similar mod that does that sort of helper thing, but I can't remember what it's called)

 

Other than in those sort of circumstances, I don't know of any mods that allow attackers to remove DDs, nor can I think of any reason why they might, other than some of the mods that will strip DDs because of possible mod incompatibility, or sometimes out of principle, on the basis that the modder just doesn't like them!

Will the draugr/creatures now ignore bound player, or will they keep attacking as if this mod wouldn't be even installed, or is it about something else?

Yeah, happy to have this mod back ! Thx for that. I was wondering if it is possible to add a bit of a time delay on the entry event. I often end up on a stair, steep or thick overgrown terain. So, if one had 2-3 seconds to go/run to a proper place, that would be nice. Thx for your work

"Only while weapons out" does not seem to be working. My character is constantly getting assaulted via Deviously Helpless Redux while having her bow out/drawn. Sometimes even in the middle of combat while her bow is drawn. Can you implement a flag (or option?) to disable assaults during combat and fix the "while drawn" option?

Worked for me, tried it just now  with both the sword and the bow. 🤨 

 

You've got both options ticked in the MCM?

So I got my old mods mixed up and mistook Deviously Helpless for Deviously Enslaved (that mod definitely deserves a remake too, so many cool features, but not all working as they should and pretty heavy script load). So when starting a new game today I wanted to remove Deviously Helpless from my modlist again, simple right? Well sadly no, turned out finding the mod in my modlist was way more of a challenge as I would've assumed. Had to look up the mod page on LL to find out it's called "dhlp redux". Please, please, please, do not use abbreviations in the mod or esp name, no one (except the author perhaps) will remember after a few weeks what that odd 3-5 letter abbreviation in their modlist stands for, while simultaneously searching for a mod by his name (as taken for example from the MCM) fails miserably. Please take the extra minute to type out the name, your mod deserves as much.

Hey I like the option that NPCs can strip a chastity Belt from you with a key but is there an up to date Version how to place keys randomly into NPCs inventory? The only one I am using spawning them the moment I loot them and to before if I remember it correctly.

Can u add a modul what any two-legged monster can harass PC? It would be nice.

While troubleshooting due to a new occasional ils in my lo, I came across an invalid quest alias (0) for WD_AliasQuest attached to WD_beltRusted_inv. Changing it to 1 gets rid of the warning, though I'm not sure if this is significant, or if it was even a mistake (and I'm just breaking things). It also didn't fix the ils, but I figured I'd post here anyways for potential clarification.
