I can assure you that's absolutely not normal, however I suspect it has to do with a missing/incorrect requirement: a function from Scrab's Papyrus Extender is used to calm attackers for the duration of scenes, so do check if it's installed!

 

If it is, and the problem still persists, I'm going to need a papyrus log.

I confused powerofthree's Papyrus Extender with Scrab's Papyrus Extender😂 Now I installed Scrab's Papyrus Extender and everything worked fine!

using the latest DD NG (0.4.0) and I'm getting the "this is an unsupported integration version" is it still going to work? Also how do i check if SPID is working correctly for the mod?

What is the popup telling you? The latest version should tell version 14, if you are using something older, you will get this popup.

Sort out your DD install. This shouldn't happen if all scripts of it are properly in place.

rechecked my dd download and it looks all correct. Testing shows that the NPCs are indeed acting out when i wear arm binders.  is it okay to just ignore the warning? of does the warning disable stuff?

Nothing is disabled, but of course I can't just tell you that it's "okay to ignore the warning" because there is some reason why it's happening... so I cannot guarantee the rest of the mod will work fine.

Hi.

I can't run the mod. :heartbreak:

There is no option in MSM and all I could find in the logs is a line in DeviousDevicesNG.log:

 

'[DeviceReader.cpp:61] Skipping mod DHLP_Redux.esp because is it disabled'

 

I use MO2. I installed all the required mods and libraries, started a new game, tried disabling all mods except the required ones - the result is the same: everything works except this one.

I would be very grateful if someone could explain to me at least what could disable the mod during initialization, besides exceeding the mod budget and problems with SSE Engine Fixes (which I don't have).

Pretty sure it's a missing hard dependency, like one or more plugins of DD not being active. Also, you are running an outdated version of DDNG.

Otherwise, this mod list is not telling much more, a load order might.

I had the same issue. After installing the Backported Extended ESL Support (available on Nexus), the mod started working properly. Without this plugin, DIN wouldn't work either. I suggest @Taki17 adds this point to the installation guide. Thanks!

Havent been able to start a scene with DHLP_Redux. Pick a Devious Start and run up to a bandit. Get proper Dialogue and then character drops and get the notification failed to start scene

Looks to be a SexLab install issue I think. If you are unable to start any sex scenes from any mod, that'd confirm it.

 

And put that log under a spoiler tag because it makes scrolling the page a nightmare.

done, and i dont have any issues starting scenes with alternative methods. just DHLP

I haven't an answer for you yet as to why, but the actors are being detected as non-recognized races and some are even missing the ActorTypeNPC keyword? That's why they are failing validation to be allowed in scenes.

What's the point of this mod if without it you are defeated with the same outcome anyway?

I mean, in most cases you play with a defeat mod right? So:

- with the mod: bandits chase you to fuck you and rob you

- without the mod: bandits attack you, defeat you, fuck you and rob you

 

Therefore I guess the point is just to skip combat?

 

I don't mean to be rude, I'm just wondering if I am missing something fundamental (and I did try the mod, it works great)

In a sense. Think of it as an alternative that makes it so that a bound and helpless player is not not beaten to an inch of her life first - because there is no need to, and the attackers just skip to the rest because the player cannot defend herself anyway. Kinda makes more sense in context.

Agree with you it makes more sense not to fight if player has devices on them.
Do you support ZaZ devices such has backside arm cuffs? = is it included in arm bindings/arm cuffs?

 

Asking this because it seems to me that leg cuffs/arm cuffs dont do much in DD - they look like ornaments most of the time I used them (as opposed to the armbinder which does something)
