Deviously Helpless - Extended 2.01

About This File

Deviously Helpless Extended is an update and expansion of Deviously Helpless by Srende and Deviously Helpless Patched by Slorm, enhancing the experience with DD 5 and fun new features with more settings for greater flexibility.  Sliders with vulnerability weights offer a new level of flexibility over all-or-nothing toggles.

I'm providing Deviously Helpless Extended because there's no longer a recent Deviously Helpless for LE players.  SE players should head over to Deviously Helpless Redux, which is actively supported.

Original Description

So, you somehow ended up stuck in an armbinder and are now wandering around Skyrim in it.  What's preventing all the bandits from taking advantage of you when you can't resist?

If enemies see you coming too close to them helpless, they'll just straight up rape you instead of even bothering to attack. All the nearby enemies will take turns, and there's no early escape. However, once satisfied, they will let you go. The same enemies won't try to rape you again for 15 minutes from the initial attack.

Feature Overview

Enemies take advantage of you when wearing Devious Devices
... with configurable weights for each type
... also configurable to only happen when unarmed.
Followers will optionally get used as well.

Configurable vulnerability:
- Select a vulnerability threshold.
- Assign vulnerability weights to each type of device.
- Vulnerability levels for being naked, shoeless, or love sick.
- Minor devices like cuffs now matter; they can push you over the threshold.

Devious Devices events, all configurable:
- Choose whether weapons are dropped, unequipped, or unaffected.
- Plug vibrations can make you unequip/drop weapons.
- Leg cuffs might trip you.
- Arm cuffs might make you fumble.
- Collars might increase your next shout recovery.

Configurable restraints equipping:
- Optionally have attackers temporarily remove heavy bondage.
- Optionally have attackers temporarily remove chastity belts
... only if they possess a key
... with a configurable chance to have a key.
- Attackers will use any restraints in your inventory.
- Choose a preferred bondage set (rope, leather, steel).
- Select a chance for restraints to be locked on you.
- Toggles for heavy bondage, blindfolds, boots, and bras.

Assault Options:
- Configurable attack trigger range and capture range.
- Configurable attacker speed boost.
- Sex settings for gender, beast race, 3-ways, and aggressive.
- Grace period to escape your attackers afterwards.

Theft Options:
- Settings for theft of your keys, lockpicks, gold, and items.
- Attackers will find your BodySearch hidden pocket.
- Things stolen are transferred to the attackers, possibly recoverable.
- But a fraction of stolen keys, lockpicks, and gold is forever lost.
- Followers will be robbed too, but their items are exempt.

Other Features:
- Configurable fast travel restrictions when bound.
- Helplessly Poor: Optional barter penalties for worn devices.
- Attacker dialog recognizes that you're male or female.

New in Deviously Helpless Extended

Spoiler

Optimized for greatly reduced processing load.
Updated to use Devious Device 5's faster functions.
Replaced the ZAP wrist binds with DD-compliant wrist ropes.
Enemies no longer keep following you after using you.
A new Devious Devices event, Collar Choke.
Device toggles are now sliders with weights.
Configurable range for triggering attacks.
Configurable range for capture.
Vulnerability when naked, shoeless, or love sick.
Selector for desired bondage set (rope, leather, or steel).
Toggle to now allow lockpicks to be stolen.
Toggle to now allow items to be stolen.
Toggle to exclude beast races from assaulting you.
Toggles to exclude heavy bondage or chastity bras.
Configurable chance for attackers to have a chastity key.
Configurable attacker speed boost.

ZAP is no longer required or used.  The ZAP keywords work poorly with the new device vulnerability weights.  For example, a ZAP yoke has keywords for yoke, collar, and wrist binding, potentially causing 3 vulnerabilities to be counted for one device without careful logic.  That's not worthwhile for a Devious Devices mod.

Item Theft

Spoiler

This was a hidden (but not secret) feature in the original Deviously Helpless.  I have excluded stealing quest items, polished it, and made it selectable in the MCM.  Here's how it works:

Each attacker can steal a configurable number of items (its entire quantity if you had a stack).  Quest items are exempt.  Optionally, the body armor you were wearing can be exempt.  Items will be ignored if they are weightless, of petty value (less than 10 septims), or have the VendorNoSale keyword.  The probability to steal an item is based on its value and your level.  Attackers aren't interested in your junk items.

Up to level 10, items worth 500 or more have 100% theft chance, subject to the quantity limit, of course.  The threshold then increases by 100 per level.  (At low level, a humble iron dagger's theft chance is 2%.)  Items will be ignored if they are weightless, of petty value (less than 10 gold), or have the VendorNoSale keyword.  Stolen items are transferred to the attackers, so you might be able to get them back.

New Devious Devices Events

Spoiler

This mod adds device events for wearing collars, arm cuffs, or leg cuffs (the cuff events were in the original mod).  If you don't want them, you can turn them off.

No longer are these devices merely cosmetic, useful only for triggering sex mods that react to them.  With Deviously Helpless, they have gameplay consequences.

Leg Cuff/Boots Trip - Chance to trip when wearing leg cuffs or bondage boots.  Sprinting, a blindfold, and high arousal increase the chance; sneaking greatly decreases it.  If dropping weapons is enabled, you will unequip or drop your weapons.  (DD also has a boots trip, but it doesn't affect equipped weapons and spells.)

Arm Cuff Fumble - Chance to fumble on the next attack within 3 minutes with arm cuffs equipped.  A blindfold or high arousal increase the chance.  If dropping weapons is enabled, you will unequip or drop your weapons.

Collar Choke - Momentary tightness of your collar increases shout cooldown for 45 seconds.  Nothing happens immediately when your shout triggers the event because shouting has already started its cooldown, so (with vanilla settings) the first 15 seconds don't matter.  That leaves a 30-second window during which a shout causes a longer cooldown.  With vanilla settings, the cooldown is increased to 30 seconds (modified by the Amulet of Talos and any other shout-affecting effects).  The net effect is that one shout might have a doubled cooldown, a vocal version of tripping.

"OMG I hate dropping my weapons!!!"  I do too.  By default, the fumble and trip events only unequip weapons.  Because you got distracted, spells are unequipped too.  If you don't even want weapons unequipped, there's a setting for that (but you'll still trip).  If you're Mister Hardcore and want to drop your weapons on the ground, there's a setting for that too.

"That still seems kind of annoying."  Not really.  You can set the chance to zero, but by default, the events don't happen often.  Besides, this is Deviously Helpless.  You installed it for consequences for wearing devices, so now the cosmetic ones actually have an effect.

"How often will I see them?"  Probably less than you'd think.  The trip event only has a chance to occur once every DD polling interval (1.5 game hours by default), then you have a *chance* to actually trip or there's no effect -- a chance for a chance, or nothing happens.  The fumble event doesn't notify you, but when it triggers, there's a 3-minute window for using a weapon.  During that window, it activates the first time you swing a weapon or fire a bow.  If you don't use a weapon during that time, nothing happens.  The collar event likewise has a 3-minute window for using a shout or nothing happens.

Try the events and see what you think.  Set their chances to trigger in the Devious Devices MCM, under Events and Effects, at the bottom of the list (you must load your game after installing this mod for DD to see the new events).

Optional Mods

Love Sickness - Having the condition can optionally make you vulnerable.

Although there's no integration, Deviously Helpless is great for SLUTS runs.  Attackers don't have to trigger Defeat, they only have to catch you.

Questions

Are male PCs supported?
Yes.  Enemies will refer to you as a male and they won't attempt to equip a vaginal plug on you.

Simple Slavery outcome?
No, this is simple assault and robbery, catch and release.  It's not defeat, just another event in your day.

Okay to update from older versions of Deviously Helpless?
No.  This version has major structural changes over Deviously Helpless 1.x.  You need a new game.

SE compatible?
Yes.  However, SE players have Deviously Helpless Redux.  It uses the latest technology and it's actively supported, so you should use that one.  Unfortunately, it doesn't support LE players, so I made this for the rest of us.
