Coopervane Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 The ground meshes in the folders were the first things I checked. They are all present. Looking in the CK they appear in the model window. This is true for Assets, Integration and Expansion. Expansion does have one missing ground model, but that item does not have a script instance and as far as I can tell, it is not used in the game. The problem isn't the folders or the pathing in the esm. After I updated the ground meshes no longer register in the game. I uninstalled everything and made a fresh reinstall with the older version I had....and now it does not work. Everything is there, except ground meshes in the game. Something is happening in the game and the update caused it and now I can't go back to an older version, because it doesn't work right either. All of this makes me very sad, because almost half of the Lover's Lab content I have installed relies on DD. Well you've got me on that one. Sounds like everything is installed and should be working, and yet doesen't for some reason. All i can say is that you're the first to report such a thing, so i'd have to assume the problem is on your end, or it's interference from something else you've got installed.. maybe a problem with your MO setup if you're using that? Maybe using one of the Bodyslide mesh packs that haven't been updated yet? I'm really just guessing at this point though.
Kendo 2 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Thanks for the response. I'm going to let things go as they are for now. My current main character is male so I only use the DD items for playtime with the spouse. Once I get to Destruction Magic to 100 I'm going to retire him anyway. I'm 40th level and at Destruction 98 and I don't intend to finish the Mage College quest line. Once I get where I'm going I'll be starting a new character. Skyrim being what it is, ANYTHING could have happened on the trip from installing/updating to the CK to the game itself. For all I know, this glitch could have nothing to do with what you modded on your end, what I did with the install or anything else. This could be one of those 'Skyrim being Skyrim' moments. I did go back to an earlier save from when I first acquired the Deviants book to craft the DD items. I was10th level then, the ground meshes did not appear when I loaded that save from a fresh start. I know they were there before because I marveled at them for some time. I have no idea what happened, but it sucks rhino since DD is one of the mod families I value the most. I wasn't trying to stir up any shit or try to play the blame game. I had a problem with the mod and I needed help, plain as that. Once I'm done with this character I'm going to compare download folders and manually uninstall DD and then try it again with a new character. If the problem persists I'll let you know.
Coopervane Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 A male char eh? That might be it. I'm not sure all the items have a GO mesh selected under the male section, some i belive are only set up for females (which is what's officially supported). Try starting a throw-away female char and see if that doesen't work, that'll atleast put the issue to bed if it does. There are plans to add some level of male support in the future, but i've no idea when that might happen.
sila Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 are there any bodyslide files available for the soulgem piercings?

But that doesn't explain how I could see them with 2.8.0 and not with 2.8.2, unless the pathing in the CK was changed. *Time to ~showracemenu and do a gender swap and see what happens.* Thanks for pointing that out. I was so flustered at losing a part of the game I love I wasn't thinking clearly. I'll report back on the results.

Oh F, yes there are no "Male ground" items in the construction creation kit for a lot of them, I didn't know if there was a reason at the time for it or not. I noticed that when making stuff for Aradia Devious items.
Kendo 2 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 It might be a good idea to add the female ground models to the DD objects' male model windows since there MIGHT be guys like me who play male toons and use the DD items only for spouses and followers. Maybe in the next update?

Maybe in the next update? Yeah it would be. It's also something that i could very easilly add, although with all that i've got on my plate at the moment, i can't really promis that i can get that done for the next version also. I'll put it on my to-do list for the next DDx version, but no promises about the DDa and DDi items, that usually takes more coordination.
Kendo 2 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 That was the deal; male character = no ground models. Weird that they displayed with 2.8.0 and not with 2.8.2, but oh well. All I have to do is go into Devious Deviants and path them myself. No biggie. You night want to add this to the main page of the mod, that ground models might not display for male characters. I'm just happy this can be fixed. \o/
DistrictGlamour Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Sneak peek at a new device created by Koffii, a new contributor to DD. New DD team member? Yay!

I know this, the lack of male meshes for the items is a HUGE clue. That doesn't mean the menu doesn't need ground models for both sexes. If there had been ground models I wouldn't have gone through all of this. I guess it's my fault for not playing a female character.
Gameplayer Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 .....share the wife please.... Didn't say that see retraction of statement it counts! On a serious note it her face reminds me of Fallout 3.
souldead341 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 So, I have a question. I'm trying to find the armbinder animations, so there are no longer the "amputated hands" and such when wearing the armbinder. There's a reference to "zap bound animations" for this in the mod menu, but I can't find any reference to where this is on the forum. At first I assumed it was a typo for Zaz, but I can't find any reference on their thread. So, a link would be greatly appreciated.

Zap is indeed the ZaZ Animation Pack, one of the requirements for DD. It includes armbinder animations. If you go to the ZaZ MCM in your game there will be an option to register its animations with SexLab. They will then be available for SexLab to call on during a scene. By making sure you have the option to use them when possible set in the DD MCM, any "aggressive" scene that plays should then default to one of those anims if you're wearing the binder. If you get one where the arms still poke out a bit, it might be one of the cuff anims, rather than the armbinder ones. If so, you can use the cycle animation hotkey until you get one you like the look of (the O key by default.)
Kendo 2 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 @Coopervane & Gameplayer After much consternation and gnashing of teeth I have all three installs working (assets, integration/deviants, and expansion). Thank you for your time in responding to my questions and all of the help. My DD stuff is upgraded and working. The World is a good place.

Maybe in the next update? I'm in the same boat. Play a male char and my followers get to wear the stuff. I would hope this issue is fixed as it is literally like 5 minutes work in the CK.
Kendo 2 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I did it for Devious Deviants and I made an esp for the Expansion. It took about 40 min to do the pathing and texture set assignments in the CK. It's not my mod so the file structure and texture set names were alien to my brain. That's why it took so long. And does anyone know if the piercings work with the quests in Devious Deviants? I know there is a option in MCM for a chance of piercing. Does it work?
Veladarius Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 There are a few mods here that add male meshes for some items (Padded Belt, Padded Cuffs and Posture Collar).
Kendo 2 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 There are a few mods here that add male meshes for some items (Padded Belt, Padded Cuffs and Posture Collar). True, but that doesn't address the issue of male ground meshes being missing in the esms. If they are not in the esms they will noit be in any esps made from them. That means I have to add them on a mod by mod basis and once those mods get updated with new esps, all of the pathing in the CK I did just goes away because the masters of these esps do not have the male ground meshes. And it isn't only that I can't see them in the crafting menu or in my inventory, it also means I can't drop them into the game world. Do that and the item just vanishes. Not having ground meshes for both sexes in a family of mods this developed is a HUGE oversight.

Laura Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I found some evidence regarding the yoke mistery.
