Someone uploaded whole episodes of Monster Musume on Pornhub. Episodes 4 and 7 are missing, but that's not an issue since I plan on buying the OVA when I get the spare money. One thing I noticed is how closely the series follows ideas presented in the two volumes of the Monster Girl Encyclopedias. I'm not sure if the original MM manga inspired the MGE or vice versa, though. Eh, the series is still that ludicrous comedy style I like. Not quite absurdist like Earthworm Jim but it still makes me laugh.

Well, I do not have such mods in Skyrim. In addition, I expected to see the adventure, but I saw some kind of cruelty .

Have you watched berserk? Thats kind of much much worse than this.

What about Game of Thrones? It has been away for a few seasons so there is a chance that people forgot just how harsh Westeros was to its citizens.

In Berserk (1), the main characters have a interesting story and personality. Here, just violence and dumb hero.

I did not watch the game of thrones and I will not, in general, I don’t watch TV for 10 years, probably I watch more Y- videos on the history and electronics.

The first episode was a simple introduction into the world of Goblin Slayer. The whole purpose was to make the audience hate goblins as much as Goblin Slayer himself, or at least make it understandable why he hates them so much. It's not some sort of literary masterpiece, but simply reducing it to violence-/rapebait isn't that smart, either.

Its seemed me normal medieval life with a country who have a luxury to plotting.

It was just a first ep, may be it get more interesting, but I don't expect too much depth either.

Been sick for over a week with a virus and 2 infections. Mostly bed rest but my sister introduced me to a short if not sweet series called Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. She said I would like it because of the cuteness and my favorite character from Fairy Tail is Wendy. Seen 6 episodes so far even though anime culture is new to me it's cute enough to make me smile often with enough adult humor to make me laugh. Also Kanna is adorable.

 

I'm a 31 year old man that likes cute anime. Must be something wrong with me. :S

Tokyo Ghoul RE ( started from the 1st run rather disappointed) Overlord.....Goblin Slayer hoping for something dark ( rape scene yeh big deal ) Wicked City did that as did Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend

It all depends on which Berserk that you mean. The manga, the first anime adaptation or the most recent ones are all very different beasts.

If the first two, then yes. If the latter, then I can't confirm.

I never watched the anime, just couldn't find the same feeling that I felt when reading the manga. The 2016-2017 adaptation is the worst thing.

An anime recommendation as it is relevant to what is happening with Tumblr and Facebook is Shimoneta. It is supposed to be a dark comedy but with more aspects of Reality becoming a self-parody, it increasingly looks more and more like a grim prediction of the future.

I was an avid anime fan, back in the early 60's.

 

I had Astroboy, Prince Planet, Marineboy, and eventually Speed Racer. As I got older my love for cartoon series diminished and eventually only major movies interested me.

 

Akira, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa - Valley of the Wind, and Howl's Moving Castle come to mind as well as Grave of the Fireflies.

 

The only American animated movies I've enjoyed in the past are Heavy Metal, and Rock & Rule. Both of these were musically grounded. While I've tried to watch some of the more recent ones considered 'classics' like Ghost in the Shell, I can't seem to connect anymore.....

I agree with your early choices although I don't recall "Marineboy" but I did get into "8th Man" back then as well.

Your selection of "feature length" animes is also spot on. Heavy Metal, and Rock & Rule are indeed two of the rare examples of good "western" cartoons. As for "classics" like Ghost in the Shell or Cowboy Bebop I find them quite interesting and much deeper than one would expect from an animated show. Yet I can still enjoy some of the totally mindless escapist genres as well.

Such as the high school romance/harem animes like; High School DxD, Sora no Otoshimono, Rakudai kishi no Cavalry,Trinity Seven and so many others. While far from being literary gold they are great for what they are.

Or the relatively recent explosion of Isekai anime (transported to another world) with titles like Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu, Gate Jieitai Kanochi nite Kaku Tatakaeri, Death March to a Parallel World just to name a few. Once again not the works of Shakespeare, Dickens or Hemingway but completely enjoyable on a certain level.

possibly due to how anime has changed so much, I started watching Robotech in the early 80's but lost interest afer the original series finished and turned into Macross or something,into the 90's anime was extremely violent Wicked City,Legend of the Overfiend,Tank Police etc

 

It's really like any genre there's good and bad you just have to find it,have a look at sites like Anime Planet or MyAnimeList there's bound to be something

Well, the reveal of how the world of SSSS.Gridman works makes me feel somewhat uncomfortable to how I've been playing Sims...

 

Doesn't diminish how awesome the episode was, or the message behind it, but... let's just say I'm considering playing "nicely" in the future...

She looks like a westernised parody and I find it almost insulting to the genre,

I'll probably watch it anyway but I'm scared for what comes next, I've been waiting for Akira and I hope it doesn't get cheesed out like this looks ?
