The Jailor is procedural, he only exists for the duration of the Whipping scene. without cheating, it shouldn't be possible for you to kill him during the Scene.

And if you do, you will end up with a stuck scene and have to reload anyway.

You can Use the "Page up/down" Keys to scroll through the console

SOS and XMPSSE should be harmless, but this problems is most likely on your End regardless. There´s not much i can do from here unfortunately.

I think you are looking for a different experience than me. let me elaborate:

 

Personally, I play skyrim as it was intended, which is an adventure RPG. You are not really supposed to be in Prison, you should be out exploring.

The Idea behind PA is to give the Player an incentive for Escape, and punish him for failing / not trying. all while keeping it short and snappy.

I really can not get behind these "player as slave/prisoner" Roleplay things and don't plan on catering towards this playstyle. If you want your stuff back, get out of Jail. there is no such luxury as choosing clothes when you are locked up. (Prison clothes could be changed with XEdit if it really bothers people)

And If you want to roleplay as slave / prisoner, there are like 20 Large mods on this very site which already fulfill this niche.

 

Just to give you an Idea where i want to take this mod.

I think you are looking for a different experience than me. let me elaborate:

Well to be fair I expilcitly said in that post that I like your mod because it is NON-SEXUAL. I never said that I wanted to be a prison slave like in DCL or POP. Nakedness, dehumanization  , and humiliation are not necessarily sexual at all given the context of the game's setting. I was just giving feedback on how there could be more details added what's already there.

 

When I said 'limited' I meant by that, not that I want the prison to be full of mindbroken sex slaves in latex outfit begging to get it. I meant there should be more activities for you to just 'live' rather than skipping everything and spending more time reading popup messages that actually playing. I meant that currently punishment is kinda just one thing for all, and even escape system which according to you is the incentive, is actually quite easy and linear. I don't think I'm suggesting anything that wouldn't contribute to what you said in your reply, and I do fully agree with your direction. Denying that just because "PA is supposed short and you'd want to escape it anyway" is kinda counterintuitive to developing the experience to its best quality, imo. Even if I play it short and snappy, I think what I have suggested are still pretty valid ideas and feedback to smoothen out the gameplay-immersiveness/value between in-PA and out there in Skyrim, with all due respect.

The mod is meant to be lightweight, and extendable. i.e: free of cruft, and free of every little idea everyone has that might improve the mod for them.

 

What you're asking for is counterintuitive to the point of the base mod. This has actually been discussed in this thread ad nauseum. If you want more functionality, add it yourself as an extension mod for this mod. Pama has written it for extensibility, and it should absolutely remain clean and small.

 

This mod is meant to be more of a hub, a central point for other mods to add functionality on the periphery; it's not meant to be an AIO that does everything while clogging up memory with elevendy billion scripts of spaghetti code.

 

TL;DR: what you're asking for is a module for Prison Alternative that adds to it externally. What won't happen is adding more functionality to PA itself for every idea that comes floating through this thread. That is as it should be. If you want more, make a mod yourself, or you know....commission a mod maker on patreon to make one for you.

 

But on spec, PA is doing exactly as much as it should. No more, no less. That's the point, as stated on the description.

Pretty much this.

The currently included events are really just a sort of "Demo" to show how the System works. And yeah, Demos are limited.

 

maybe the Entire Idea of "Extensibility" will become more apparent once i get the first expansion done. But this will be an external mod.

THIS base mod wont get any more events for the reasons WandererZero kindly repeated above.

 

Again, I´m not planning on making a prison-RP mod. PA would certainly support events which go in that direction, but since I consider the Idea of menial prison tasks to be supremely boring, They would have to be made by someone else.

Touche. Perhaps the better wording for my comment should have been that the whole experience of the base mod and modules at this point in time is "still" limited. And that's ofc to be expected given the age of this mod. Let's just say I'm excited for more content to come. I'll rest this conversation here. Cheers :)

 

P.S. still I'd love to know how long my sentence is tho, ignoring all my previous 'suggestions'.

1 Day for petty crime

2 days for medium crime

3 for heavy crime

 

Unless the MCM setting "Sentence lenght limiter" is set to something shorter. currently its default is 1 day only due to the lack of events. But people can set this to higher values if they want more time to escape the potential Simple slavery outcome or the upcoming executions.

Notes on 1.2 Update:

 

-upgrade from previous versions is safe.

 

-Adds a toggleable feature which prevent the same event from occuring twice during the same sentence.

This isnt overly usefull yet. but you can use it if you want a longer sentence without seeing the whipping scene every day.

 

-This update is a HARD REQUIREMENT for the first extension pack. Which will go live next week.

Here you go. its only for Windhelm right now, but has a lot more depth than the original by torm.

The entire thing is escapable/survivable. (check the "Survival chance" Slider in PA´s MCM.)

 

 

Other cities will follow.

Peril dialed up to 10 in every aspect of the game is ideal... Especially when it includes escapes and deus ex machina, look forward to this expanding more and more with scenarios and locations.

I'm not seeing any days actually pass in prison. Had a 1000 gold bounty and served three events worth of days. Left technically a few hours after I went in. Is this an issue that people have come across before?

Sorry if this has been answered, couldn't find it in search, but I currently use the SSE version and when the guards equip me with the ankle chains/fetters they appear as pink/purple (Which means they have no texture) but there is no texture/bodyslide for them in ZAZ 8.0+ UUNP HDT Rev3 for SSE or 2 and it says its (pretty much) incompatable with DCL which has those textures. Which ZAZ would I use to get the textures?

Its broken in all SSE versions of Zap. I posted a fix over in the Support thread for Bad ends.

Semi-Feature.

This wasn't intended, but it allows PA to run alongside stuff like Ineeds without you character starving. So i left it in.

Been enjoying the mod.  Like how it is quick and brief compared to the alternatives.  Should Simple Slavery Plus Plus be before this mod or after?  Currently the character transitions from Alt Prison to Slavery Auction with full inventory.  After auction the new owner doesn't take/clear the items from inventory.  Recently changed load order for other mods too, and now trying to work out the new bugs.

Ah, okay. I usually turn Realistic Needs & Diseases off while in prison (presumably they feed you). Can I respectfully request that an MCM toggle for real days passing be on your mind? There's a couple mods I run that benefit from a chunk of time passing as a punishment.

Hi folks,

 

It appears this mod is incompatible with AL Kidnapped Redux SE, and horrified female prisons (regardless of load order).

 

I also have not been able to get either of the current Windhelm events to work. i walk to the gallows, or to the bridge, and everything stops. like script lag or a nav mesh problem.

The guards all stand close to the area, and nothing progresses.

 

Anyone else seen this? i played around and removed any mods i thought might be the issue.

 

Great mod BTW, it just works otherwise.

Hello friend. Such an awesome little mod. I've been having fun with it for many, many months. However, this just in: Farkas was with me when I got jailed, but sadly he's still in jail and won't budge even after my own release. He just stands there, won't leave his spot. I think I'm supposed to bail him out - but how do I do that? Tried talking to the guards, no option. I also disabled your mod and all of its follower options - still no cigar. Help! My poor, handsome, innocent Farkas!

Followers are supposed to be hanging out inside one of those bird cage looking cages that are strewn about the jail, They can sometimes bug out and just not be where they're supposed to be, regardless though, you're supposed to interact with the cage to get the prompt to release them from jail, So just ignore Farkas and go interact with a cage until you get the prompt.

 

Also, might want to do this on a save before you disabled the mod, since disabling the mod seemingly didn't release his AI package and might just have made things worse.
