Hm... Strange... That just was created when you created a new profile? I see you under 'Default' right now, does switching to your new profile also still give those backup files?

They might be created some other patching / merging tool you used. If you do not need the backup to be there, look into MO2/mods/ and delete those backup files / folders.

If I have multiple working setups, I'm fine with multiple profiles.  For now, while I have zero setups working, I'm only working with the one profile.

The MO2 video tutorial I followed to install the basics suggested configuring MO2 to work with only one profile, total.  To keep my options open, I configured it to allow multiple profiles, anyway, should I desire them in the future.  But, I don't need six boat trailers for one boat that can't even float.

Oh I thought you meant you created a new profile when you said "slimmed down loadout". Sorry, um...

Okay... firstly are you sure your game is fully vanilla? Have you ever attempted to install mods directly into the game?

If not can you check the MO2/mods/ folder and delete any folders not having the name of mods in your load order? You probably will find those 'backup' folders / files.

Okay... That's all fine. So you're still following the video so far? Anything not worked? At what point in following the video did you create / find the unmanaged backup files? Seems very strange they would pop up randomly...

The only things I ever added directly to the game files were necessary components of SKSE that needed to be installed there.  The big selling point of MO2 is that it keeps your game vanilla, and even I'm not stupid enough to foul that up-- I was even uncomfortable as I dropped the SKSE components directly into the game files.

As I believe I mentioned earlier, MO2 provides an option for deleting those files.  I'll screencap the options presented.  I'm just nervous b/c MO2 has done some baffling (to me) things when I've deleted files from its menu in the past.

I quit following the videos when I finished watching all of them (I wish the guy had made one for installing Wrye-Bash on MO2...); that was well over three months ago.  They never mentioned anything like this, which is why I was so blindsided by it.  This did, indeed, pop up randomly as f***.

Yes, just go ahead and delete those files. So was the mod part of your original load order? And does a version of that mod still exist in your actual checkboxed load order? If not you should redownload and re-install those mod backups you are deleting back into your load order.

is the merged version standalone or does it need the non-merged one? still not sure exactly what the merged one is for

Does this mod require a new game start, or can it be safely added to an ongoing savegame? And how safe is it to update to a newer version with an ongoing savegame?

I'm aksing because this mod is still being developed and has frequent updates. I don't want to miss out by installing it with a new game now but miss out on updates later.

It's in the mod's description page.  It's not a "workaround," it's the way the mod author informs you to utilize the mod.

MO2.

Uhh, are you using SL anim loader? if so, did you register the anims? cause, i forgot to and my anims didnt run except for a few. And try creating a new game without SF framework, cause it conflicts with literally everything and is very fragile (when i used it). on my pc it caused lots of corrupt saves, and ruined my immersion cause of constant CTDs

Only Pirve. Maybe someone uses the child's voicetype for fun, for example someone huge, but I'm not sure.

The ghost bears sometimes disappear after 2 seconds of the animation.

He must appear, do his dirty deed on Temba, and then disappear. And if he does not have time to disappear for the first time, he will still disappear by the timer. You can wait until he disappears before spekings with Temba.

Yes, I overlooked that they are random bandits and can be women.

Strange, it's should work. It's just simple akSpeaker.RemoveItem(Clothes, 1) code. Aela is based on real Aela and using her inventory. Maybe your real Aela naked too?

No, pretty save to install and unistall. This mod just adds new NPCs and quests, no ongoing heavy scripts. The only problem can be the mod's perks, but it's should be fine too - they all positive and not change base actor's values.

Merged version DOESN'T require previous version

Merged with the Troubles of Heroine Dawnguard & Bragonborn Plugins

@DSHV  it's standalone

& the reason it's smaller is it's in BSA, was loose file when I got it

Thanks for the response. I was wondering because I've already joined the Companions. If I join the Companions and then install TOH, will that then break the Sexist Companions quest?

No, Aela gives these quests in random order.

Hey all,

Just to update here: Updated voice pack for Troubles of Heroine v2.2.0 in Generation 2 is now live. The file size is much reduced from 7.08GB → 1.94GB (Around 72% smaller) due to greatly reduced redundant lines.

Quality and pronunciation models are improved. I've attached some samples beneath in the zip so you can have a try, I've included one example of two voice lines both from Gen 1.3 and the new Gen 2 model.

Enjoy and let me know if you encounter any problems ^^

All but one of those mods was in my original load order.  Specifically, I really wanted to try "Serana Dialogue Add-on," but deleted it after I took a peek at all of the ToH content and saw that they could possibly conflict.  That didn't cause this issue at the time, and I was already having the primary issue of losing control of my character at the time I installed it when a sex scene was compelled by ToH immediately after some other ToH command.  Moreover, I still only suspect that they could be incompatible.  I'm mentioning it, however, because of my suspicions that it could, somehow, some way, be implicated as a secondary (or tertiary, etc.,) cause of my issues.

Everything I've ever downloaded-- whether I never checked the box to install the mod, at all, or if I unticked it-- has remained as an unchecked box on the menu, until now.  That is, unless I completely deleted it from the menu, in which case I've had various results seemingly based on the Wheel of Chance: from what's happening, now, to being "installed" despite absence from the menu.  Hence, my hesitance to outright delete things from the menu if I can at all help it.  As long as it remains on the menu, at least I maintain some control over it.

But, no, other than the untickable box versions, no visible trace remains of those particular mods.

I came here seeking advice; you were kind enough to offer it to me, so, WTH... the absolute worst that could happen is I have to do what I was on the verge of doing, anyway; and if you're actually advising it, I can most likely relieve myself of concern about that contingency.

Thx, as always, for the assistance.

Uhm... Okay... So, you're saying you have unticked / removed mods within MO2 and you've experienced them still being installed in your game? That is... really strange. I'm not even sure to begin to speculate on how that occurred.

But regardless, we'll try to figure out how to fix your ToH and character control issues for now. I'm curious - how did you build your load order? Did you install a light base and add on heavier mods one at a time? Or did you create that load order of yours all in one go? The problem here is that the first step to most troubleshooting of Skyrim mods is to figure what mod is causing the issues you are having. Since now you are experiencing issues when using Troubles of Heroine but from the sounds of things your issue has nothing to do with Troubles of Heroine itself or a direct conflict with it and another mod, it's something much more nuanced, and likely ToH's script load just tipped your load order / save file over the breaking point.

We can do more digging if you provide me your papyrus log at the time of the problem, and we can go over and monitor your tickrate, but honestly this will take much longer than simply starting a new profile on MO2, having a very light load order, and start testing the game for stability from there. You need to know what works before being able to tell what doesn't work. So disable everything but Sexlab and a few frameworks for example, do LOOT and FNIS, (don't worry about any merging and patching, there's no point complicating things if you're experiencing issues this major, we can worry about optimization later), then launch a new game from the start menu, test and make sure everything works. Then exit, enable some more mods, again LOOT and FNIS, and another new game to test for stability. Then by the end, load everything that is stable, create a new game and play from there. Ideally not adding / removing any mods during your playthrough.

The reason for this:

1. Very likely that your method of disabling all mods and saving has done irreparable damage to your save file.

2. I'm not sure your original load order was stable to begin with, I'm not sure what compatibilities there are from the information right now.

Just in general right now, since you want to play Troubles of Heroine, what your goal is right now, should be to establish a minimum working load order just to get Troubles of Heroine running, then you can add more mods for personal preference afterwards. Then as you add, you will discover what mods are or are not compatible with ToH. You are doing the reverse right now of dropping ToH into a load order with maybe 10+ incompatibilities you don't know about, then trying to reverse-engineer the incompatibilities.  (To be fair, I didn't do this, like you I also added ToH to my existing load order, which you absolutely can do, just make sure you are aware that it will be a lot more difficult to try to find incompatibilities if you don't know exactly how your load order works and what kind of script load and record edits your mods are doing.)

Also, I can't really find the post where you put up your load order, but I remember seeing quite a few mods there I personally wouldn't consider using for stability reasons. I'm not sure when you got into the whole SE thing, but many older mods that were hastily converted over from LE (and especially ones not done by the mod author) are extremely unstable, and many have new dedicated SE versions available. Also if I recall correctly your mod order (left list of MO2) looked pretty weird in terms of order.

For now, before anything else, can you just send me a few screenshots of the left side list of your MO2?
