Though the positive way of look at that is there are many empty or underutilized locations for modders to play with.
LukeDuke Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Yeah, it's kinda sad that besides Diamond City there are not other cities with many NPCs like in Fallout New Vegas, or damn even FO3 had more. It's mostly radiant quests, and endless random encounters with enemies. Still thanks to mod like this, FO4 can be a little more immersive.
Tentacus Posted November 21, 2019 Author Posted November 21, 2019 UPDATE: Just a quick note that Hardship 1.0.8 is definitely going to require Polistros patches or at least the replacement Leitos esp that comes with it. This will probably change if Onepatch 2.0 ever comes out (after I point all the animations to the right places for that) but for the time being the animation forms I'll be calling directly are in there. I know at some point some of you said that you had managed to get one patch to work with Leitos to some degree so I thought I'd just give the heads up to at least have the esp from Polisttros patches handy.

The tags halstrom added is also integrated to all animation packs in my patch so i suppose is that what is about? Or is there something else i'd need to do to make my patch compatible with Hardships in the next update? @Tentacus

Been staring at XMLs too long Yeah I noticed that the XMLs you have in your patch are fine (and mentioned as much a page or 2 back). I'll let you know if anything does come up though. (they dont actually exist in the game the way garvey exists) You get notifications that you have "X" days to pay it off. To pay it off you visit random trading posts, or shops Speaking to the shop owner "I have a debt to pay" with options that lead to prostitution, selling yourself as a slave, just paying, etc. If you fail to pay off your debt, mercs are sent out. They will collect in "likely more violent" ways. Maybe you can work it off via prostitution, maybe they try to sell you as a slave, maybe they kill you, maybe they kill and rob you or hell, maybe you pass a speech check and they decide you dont owe them.? You have the diner near sanctuary, the drugged out lady near diamond city(weapon dealer), randomly wandering NPCs and a few other traders throughout the map you could even add a little more flavor- perhaps the owners of dugout collect for more "Russian mafia" types.. The question is- how do you incur debt that "imerssively" allows for debt collecting from non existent NPCs? There is a chance that random people who help you might say after they give you money. "My boss is willing to help you, but you owe him/her" Chance might be based on how many times people help you, and not necessarily on who is helping you. So with this, there would be a chance that If Mama Murphy helped you, she might be the one..
JB. Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 Just for providing a different idea that is not only prostitution to pay debts. Nora/Nate could do some drug mule work to pay the bills. She/He would ingest an item that would reduce agility, strength and perception until she/he smuggled in Diamond City or Goodneighbor. As the sale of drugs is allowed in Fallout, those could be new and dangerous drugs. And the guards would be on the hunt for suspects of illegal trafficking. It could be some mission from the next raider-pimp.

By using offsets and random staged animations and messing with stage lengths I've been able to create a cuffed deepthroat anim from Leito blowjob 1 with quite a pleasing rhythm. It skips stage 4 and makes stage 1 so she just takes her mouth off it for a second to rest every so often. I'll then play Stage 4 right before the scene ends in my script. 5

Tentacus Posted November 22, 2019 Author Posted November 22, 2019 I was going to have the guards able to get you out of cuffs like anybody else but that interferes too much with their normal Hardship behavior. So instead I'll make it so if a guard gets too close to you in cuffs they will 100% haul you back to the station/statehouse, and give you the usual friendly treatment (whore or not btw) for being a public disturbance. Each time they use you there will be a dice roll to see if they'll take the cuffs off. 1

At this point my only real problem is that I continue to have frequent trouble with timing for menacing raider approaches. Inevitably there's a path-finding issue for a nearby raider (either as the first menace or a subsequent one while already engaged with an earlier menace), or there's a crowd of raiders and I can't engage in discussion with the right one straight away, or I'm in the midst of some other animation (sex triggered by another mod or using the bathroom a la Advanced Needs), and so they go aggro on me before I can converse with them. I'm not sure what could improve that... maybe a longer (or configurable) timeout?
