AAF HARDSHIP - beggar- whore -

Hi guys, 

 

This is probably something really simple, but i'm very new to mods and it's stumping me, so if someone could point me in the right direction it'd be very much appreciated. I've got the mod almost working, the dialog and all is there, but when I proposition someone "looking for a good time" etc, they say they're interested, then it jumps to "lets go somewhere more private" and.. that's it. Am I supposed to follow them? Do they follow me? Neither happens, if I walk off they don't follow, if I wait for them, they just carry on about their business. There's no discussion over caps, and if I talk to them again the dialog is restarting from the very beginning.

 

Any help greatly appreciated - so close, but yet so far...!

I think that AAF is causing this problem! Check that AAF is working first by pressing the home key, delete key to change the menu in the top left corner to Admin and press enter and see if there are any error's being reported. also see if you can start an animation scene with AAF if not you will need to re install AAF.

As I said i'm very new to this - Where do I press the home key, in the actual game? I tried that, nothing happens.. Sorry for being such a noob, really appreciate the help!

Hey, got it working I think! It was indeed AAF, must have had the wrong version installed or something. Seems to be working. Is there a fix for the missing / pointing in the wrong direction boners that is easy to implement?

Hmm, spoke too soon. It was working enough to get me accosted by some guards, but whenever I try to actually 'turn a trick' it says it couldn't load animations.. damn, so close!

So i've been trying for hours to get this to work, and I feel like i'm just one tiny piece of the puzzle away, so if anyone can help it'd be really appreciated. The main error message i'm getting is 

 

Failed to start 'FM' scene because there are no 'FEMALE HUMAN + MALE HUMAN' animations. Filters: includeTags (FROMBEHIND,POWERBOMB), excludeTags(AGGRESSIVE,KISSING,SPOONING,HUGGING,69,SPANKING) combinedTags(NONE)

Install animation pack with this type of animation

 

So basically from that ^ it looks like i'm one animation pack away from making it all work perfectly. The only trouble is, WHICH PACK? And where from!!  Arghh!! 

 

Help?

Have you installed at least the Hard Requirements?

Just get them all.  Go through the guide and make sure you have everything that you might need.

As far as I was aware, I got them all - Managed to get it working now, I just reinstalled all the requirements. One of the blowjob anims is backwards (face to bum!) and it's still throwing up a BUNCH of errors in the AAF admin panel, but despite this, it seems to be working! 

 

Not sure why the penis's on the males seem to grow into giant 'futa' mode penises when the scenes are taking place then go back to normal after, kinda ruins the look of the anims but hey its working so thats the main thing I guess.

 

Wondering how much of this is due to me using vortex not some other tool - I did try to find Mod2 but was unsuccessful.

Also I don't seem to take any damage from sex, at all - something is still not right here but no idea how to fix it :S

You need to get AAF working first with animations and with no errors before adding any mods like Hardship or you just compounding the issues your having. The big dick problem is most likely caused by not building the male body in bodyslide with the erection slider set to zero. and as for the blow job the wrong way that could mean you have not installed the correct XMLs which handle the position of Actors in animations. then best guilde for AAF is here:

The damage depends on the choices you make in the vaginal and anal menues. if you are always choosing wet and ready you won’t see any... and its very small like 1-2 points.

 

the animation issue is bizarre youd need an xml with an offset for that to happen. Anyway animation issues arent directly related to hardship... not til the next version anyway.

Man, I sure have jumped in at the deep end trying to get this working as my first (major) mod. Still, a steep learning curve is a challenge and the creator has made something really brilliant here, so I think it's worth it. 

 

Ok so, XML's - someone point me in the direction of a primer as to what those are and how I work out whats broken and fix it ?

Bodyslide is also a bit of a confusion/mystery to me - I've managed to get it working to the point where it's let me set my character to look how I want and improved all the models in the game (can tell by the feet!) but a lot of it is still a mystery to me. 

How do I do the male body/bodyslide build thing?

 

Also @Tentacus Hello! Fantastic work on this mod dude - you are a genius, seriously. I really hope you keep developing this and adding things, it's like a whole game in itself. I really like the clever RPG aspects like how if you sleep with the mayor of diamond city he tells the guards to leave you alone for a while, really immersive and brilliant. With regards to damage from sex, I have been choosing dry to see if it does damage, and it doesn't seem to do any - nor does being raped, I'm taking zero damage from that. Weirdly, with the cigarette mod as well, I'm now 'addicted' to nicotine but I don't seem to be suffering from not smoking, just a little red icon bottom right says I need drugs. Lastly having been beaten up a few times by queen isabella, customers say I look messed up and stuff but my health is full, i've used a bunch of stimpacks, been to the doctor in diamond city, as far as I can see i'm back in perfect health but they seem to see something I don't  - what aren't I understanding?

I just batch build everything against a "zero sliders" preset and then rely on LooksMenu's in-game sliders to set the player's body proportions instead (and its associated bodygen randomizes NPC body proportions nicely too). When I get a look I like, I save it as a LM preset so I can reapply it easily in different playthroughs.

You should definitely notice the damage from a beating, and if you received it (saw the popup and heard the sounds) then their’s nothing wrong with the script.

 

likewise if you are seeing orgasm messages at the end of sex (Ie: you feel him spurt inside you) then the script that applies the wear and tear is working as well.

 

it sounds like you have deeper Fallout 4 issues.

Probably not an answer you're going to like, but after doing this for a while I've discovered the best choice I ever made for my own sanity was to take a step back and first work out ways to be able to more efficiently reinstall the game and all the mods I'm using from scratch to reach a known consistent state, or once I got more familiar with the mod manager I'm using, how to audit all the files to make sure there's nothing corrupted or leaked and left behind. All too often I've narrowed buggy behavior down to an extra file which should have been deleted when I uninstalled/upgraded a mod, or some unpacked file for a mod getting overwritten/corrupted by something while sitting where it's staged so it kept getting redeployed in a broken state. Being able to reinstall things helps rule out a whole host of otherwise mysterious problems, and can also be a good opportunity to revisit the list of mods you're using and determine whether there are any you can/should drop... the fewer mods you install, the fewer chances you have for something to go wrong and the easier it's going to be to track problems down when they do arise.

Its possible that redownloading and reinstalling hardship may fix the damage issue as the main functions script may be corrupted

The main problem that I can see in AAF's debug panel is still relating to missing animations. I thought I had downloaded them all but I'll start again from scratch there and hope that fixes it.

 

@Tentacus would missing anims cause the scripts to not complete properly? Damage/Orgasm etc

Only if it didnt find an animation for that particular scene. If an animation plays, then the end of scene events should play.

Ok, well, I'm kind of at the point of giving up now. 

 

After spending nearly 3 hours installing everything detailed in this thread ( 

 ) it still doesn't work, and infact is more broken now than it ever was. In the debug panel of AAF there is just an absolute sea of error messages, tons and tons way too many to type out. Mostly relating to missing items and missing animations. 

 

Really frustrating that it isn't easier to get this to work, especially as everyone else seems to be able to manage it. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.

The comments are a Hardship only stat. It treats you as if you are bruised friom being beaten. Each beating applies a point of this and 1 point is removed during a 24 Hr timer, so if you are beaten twice customers will see you as beaten for up to 2 in game days. Each time a point is removed you'll see a message that says something like, "You feel a little better" and when the counter reaches zero it'll say something like "The marks of abuse have faded"

 

You should download AAF Sex Em up and use that to test AAF while you figure out what's wrong. It'll be easier to intiate sex scenes with that. Once you have AAF working correctly with a simple mod like that, it should then work with Hardship.
