Hmm interesting idea I got from these posts:

 

What if:

 

- Sexlab gets a function to ADD two stages to each Sexlab Scene. A indenpendent Intro and Outro Stage. 

- Intro/Outro Stages would play depending on the keywords. Aggressive and Normal animation get different intro and outro

- Basic Idea would be a total of 4 animations (Aggressive Intro/Outro + Normal Intro/Outro).

 

Problems:

- many mods detect the final stage of animations for triggers

- some animations have their own intro/outro stages (while I in general dont like them) 
- would need to cover humans, all creatures and also group animations, so the total animations required would be quite a lot

- narrative would have to be simple to maximize immersion and compatibility with all kinds of animations.


I personally think that a perfect intro might be impossible. Sexlab needs too long time to start animations and align actors even with low Mod count and with Osmels Tweaks. 
What I mean: it takes too long even when its very short. It will still have the part where the actors clip and all that. 

I use Fade To Black for a long time now and it works like a charm. But I use ENB and the black does not work, even with fixes. I use Maximum Blur only for that reason, but that works quite well and quite reliably. 

For Intro I would not see a big need in Sexlab for that reason. 

Outro is another thing. I dont use Fade to Black for Outro. But I would love to see a "idle" system for after Sex to maximize Immersion.

 

Problem I see with that is possible issues with Defeat mods that add their own "in between Rape" Idles. Dunno how that would play out. 

 

Also, I dont like that you often have to break out of idles with jump only, not just movement keys. 

 

What would be completly awesome and maybe a minimal impact if Sexlab would play a "get up" animation after each stage. 
Like the one ZAP is playing when you leave furnitures. 

 

So, I still think the options might be limited because of mod compatibility :(

I have the same problem with ENB. That's was I never tried to add black fade to my utility even when i think on that many times. Are you using something in particular for the Blur?

The stages already exists. Are the lead-in (foreplay) and the roll wen end options. They only need to be improved with the new ideas.

 

Probably like me people just tried those the first times and end deactivate because take more time and don't was too immersive. I remember stop using also because be then increase the CTD chance at least for me.

I use Fade to Black mod. It has a blur function that can be used with or without the fade to black. I just disable blackscreen and set blur to maximum instead. Has a sufficient effect for me. 
 

I tried hawks ENB fix but it fixed nothing for me, hehe. Never got back to investigating it further, I just settled with the blur only. 
Deactivating "/#define APPLYGAMECOLORCORRECTION" as suggested was not a solution for me because it made the light look horrible and kinda defeated the purpose of using an ENB.,.. 
In theory I think you could combine this with other non ENB color correction mods but again, I stopped researching the matter, too much of a time sink :(

Ah I see, of course. Nice indeed. 
For me, I never liked the ragdoll by its look and I barely have consensual animations for the foreplay part. 
 


Sexlab seems to always start animations where the PC is (except defeat sometimes seems to change that...), so I wondered if the "walk to the PC" feature could be combined with an idle position of the PC already.

For consensual animations something like a masturbation animation for the PC and for rape a cowering option etc. (the animation should be customizeable anyway by just replacing the anim files used by sexlab for it I guess). 

I also miss an animated stripping. The Sexlab Stripping animation looks so uninspired. 
Sexlab Defeat has a small scene where the NPC rips the clothes off the player.

Also a question:

Sexlab has its set of Hotkeys that can reverse their functionality with pressing shift.

Would it be possible to add another routine to allow a third functionality while pressing Ctrl?

@Nymra SexLab original start animations on victims place for aggressive animations and

PC for normal animations at least external mod said something else, my utility also check if actors are using some furniture to use as center reference the actor out of the furniture at least the animation was furniture type.

 

The idle seems possible but need few test because I know some idles can break the animation. Also need find the right idle for each animation type. The aroused animations seems appropriate for consensual.

Not idea but my be possible.

 

PD: I anxious to see all those ideas come true. Truly are 2.0, is a shame I can't work on that until the end of month.

Thanks but those upgrade are from the original author I just added my CxC to his last update. Also is supposed the PC on creature form can be engaged for Creatures now.

the last update for SLAcreatures was in 2018

so all new options I see ingame are from your tweak, unless I missed somthing, like a backport from SE

 

One thing is clear, without your tweak my creatures wouldn't have made any progress ;D

You need to download the last Aroused Creatures SE Beta 13 from December of 2019 and apply my LE tweak. Without the original SE you don't have the most recent functions like the struggle bar and the dialogues. The rest of the functions probably work with the old LE version but I don't recommend it.

Perhaps a simple change to allow Sexlab alignment hotkeys to be easier to use is to reset the timer for the stage to the beginning whenever a hotkey is used simply to give you more time to align a stage of an animation without it suddenly timing out and moving on to the next stage or worse yet the animation ends and you didn't have it quite aligned yet so now you've got to wait an watch for it again.

Sexlab Utility Plus looks excellent, and by the sound of it, this is already working very well for many people.  I'm considering trying it, but of course I'm nervous about breaking things that are working.

 

One question before I take the plunge: how does the hiding feature (heading?) in this mod compare to Vinfamy's Sexlab Privacy?  I've been using that for ages, and it works pretty well.

I never test SL privacy that for I can't compare but I can say my IA is very good. I test the last change on City in front of guard and the actors go out of the see of the NPC not involved on the animation; On Inn's most of the time the scenes take place on the bedroom; On the Wilderness they usually don't move off the start place except if exist some not follower NPC close or passing by; On Dungeons they stay on the same place or find some hidden place close to prevent encounter with enemy or unwanted results; On places like Sanguines Grove were the actors are surrounded by naked NPC the scenes usually start at the actot place. The walking animations is the same as the v1.63 of SexLab so is bit better. I still working on enhance the functions so should be even better on the future.

I take that on consideration but there are some WIP mod with that function and don't feel right override the Work In Progress of others. Until now I tried to include just the functions led by hand and are using the same files as me.

Mmmmm. Small progress report for those who cares. And for me to take notes.

 

SexLab Utility Plus next release:

 

1. Toggle Animations already enhance to allow easy add or remove "Aggressive" tag and others Tag's to all the animation or just a few (still I prefer SLATE for more permanent changes because if you reset the animation register all those changes will rollback)

 

2. Refresh expression key already added. Now someone need to make few more expressive expression's to really see the difference, something like a horror face or rollback eyes for really horny situations.

 

3. Reset animation time if adjusting position : Done.

 

4. Waiting idle for more immersion before animations start: almost done (right now mostly start Aroused idle)

 

5. Fade Black on not immersive situations: Working but need be enhance to show on the right moment and make Black Fade work with ENB without change the effect.fx file are giving me real trouble. The main idea is use only on the odd situations like when actors teleport or wait without idle. 

 

6. Enhanced the Lead-in animations function to give more variety on animations: Done now also work on aggressive animations if you have at least one lead-in animation with "Aggressive" Tag

 

7. Enhanced ragdoll function to play more immersive idles when animations end: this one is giving me problem because seems like the idles to raise from the floor don't work here except the idleForceDefaul and that one brake the immersion on many cases.

 

8. The Equip items from inventory system seems without future because I don't find any existing item except strapon's to justify the work and the strapon's already have the function to equip from inventory if found one.

 

9. Enhance the Relocation hotkey: Done now you have 12 second to relocate and can use the key any time to force Instant Relocation

 

10. Enhanced the SortCreatures function to properly set the position of humans and creatures on Creature animations. Done, now detect the position of the human male and female, the creature gender and races. Specially useful when play animations with more than one humans actor and more than one creature race like the Horny Creatures mod.

 

11. Fixed ChangeActors function to allow add actors and creatures on running animations without alignment problem.

 

12. More immersive striping: Working on it; now the old strip animation show only unequipping "Item Type Body (32) ". Also if anyone know for good animation to strip gloves or boots, let me know.

Before the Open mouth update which is SLS v0.581. I was facing extensive Frame drop and console full of "warring: access to non-existence something 0x<numbers>" during animation especially when multiple sexlab animation was running.

I do not know what causing the issue or it is related to this mod. removing SLS and loading old save solved the issue. maybe stability issue with this mod and SLS combined because SLS seems to take control over some aspects of running animation.

 

Update: "Non Existence error" also happens When Two different mod try to call Sexlab on player at same time. One plays and another do not.

I remember this - Before I Installed this patch when two  sexlab instence called on player both would play and player will switch places between two animation repeatedly. I do not know what happened after I Installed this patch but after mixing up with SLS now it gives warning on console and only one plays another get canceled. I also noticed this new error when two sexlab instance called and only one involves player. I have uninstalled SLS, problem still remains but very rare.

 

Also I Must add that I get this error (Not SLS related)during animation. This do not cause much issue So I never reported this.

@Sucker343 the problem with Survival was simply compatibility because my sslActorAlias file and his was to different and that cause at least one of the mod crash. Problem solve with me include his changes on my mod. That way you can override his file with my own without risks.

 

The errors showed on your log are from bad or inexistent errors treatment in separate orgasm mod, is not completely harmless but should give you none real problem after all they are there since the beginning and probably the author never fix. 

 

I planned to publish a compilation of modified files solving all those ERRORS for programmer only (without compiled) but my hopes of author's use it are low

For me, it seems that the Actor Alignment is still not fully functional. I have diasabled the Dildo/Strapon Usage for females and activatetd the Animation Tag filter and the Gay/Lesbian filter in Sexlab, i also resetted the animation registry and cleaned the sexlab system, but i still see two females in straight animations, if i let sexlab choose, what animation to play.

Maybe there could be a problem with the load order? Should it be loaded before or after aditional sexlab-mods and/or the animation-mods?

I tried to sort my load order with LOOT, but it didn´t change the position for Sexlab Utility Plus.

@Tom-80-H many animations make for FM also include the FF tag and that's a mistake most of the time; maybe that's the reason. Check if that.

 

I will check the function anyway, and thanks for the data.
