Though it's sub-ideal, till a patch is released to update the mod to full compatibility with LEM, the easiest way to 'fix' this is to go into the Lustful Void options and turn off the notification for brood parasite events. They'll still happen but the screen won't pop up to trap you.

My guess would be, you didn't put the extracted Files of the latest Version (1044614254_LustfulVoid0.5.7.zip) in the correct Folder (Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod) and that's why you get this error.

I was wondering if there was a new link to the discord, I just got into Stellaris not long ago, and after a couple games decided to mod some. 

 

If there is some sort of problem with the discord and i just haven't seen the update regarding it, then I apologize.

Strange Bug with the game considering robots Organics for some reason.  Invasive breeding is also removing robots as well.  Mechanist start.

Any plans to support driven assimilator empires better? Several of the buildings from Lustful Void don't make any sense for them. I've also had  "worker" and "specialist" class jobs appear on my planets as an assimilator. We don't have those, we have simple and complex drones. ?

 

A replacement building for the assimilators could be a drone breeding facility to increase drone pop growth.

What version of the game are you using? If it's the current version of 3.1 then currently Lustful Void is incompatible for the moment. Lithia is working on an update for LV but to my knowledge it has yet to be released.

I doubt very much that LV is the source of these pop ups.  I'm running it without issue at the moment.

 

@pisadasf When you get these popups hit the ~ key and type "debugtooltip".  This activates the debug tools, and you can then see what event name is creating your infinite popups.  Whichever mod that event name is associated with is usually the source the of the problem (although it can still be a combination of mods causing it rather than just one).

Seconding the idea that this isn't an LV-specific issue. I've been using it fine on 3.1 and prior. The only issue I've run into so far is that the brood parasite event window doesn't pop up with a button to allow you to close it. The 'fix' for that until a proper update for LV is released, is to go into the LV options menu and turn off the notifications for brood parasite events. That's it, they still happen you just don't get stuck in a window when they do. This can even be done while the issue is occurring, then saving the game and reloading it to clear the window.

I did the debugtooltip command and it says brood_parasite.8 and the mod that adds that is LV so i assumed it this mod

Which was the basis I used to ask what version of the game was running. I've poked through the events files on a few occasions and recognized the referenced event id from the tooltip shown in the screenshot pisadasf posted.

Fair enough.  I keep Brood Parasites disabled because I don't like the gameplay, so I guess that's why I haven't encountered this one.

So to be certain, the mod is still mostly working in the more recent update? I've been thinking to start a new stellaris campaign and this is one of the must have mods for it imo.

It does work but most fetures are not balanced for less pops yet. That means that even clerks are better than whores, I think.

@sila To add to this, Pops rebalancing was 3.0 Dick patch and this mod is currently compatible with that version, but not "balanced" for it.

 

(Does anyone play this mod for the balance?)

 

However, 3.1 Lem is the latest patch and this mod is being updated for it (so several features like currently not working or bugged out).

My current game is LV with the full suite  of Zenith of Fallen Empires, Gigastructural Engineering, Starnet AI, Fewer Habitable Planets, More AI Empires, a bunch of extra event, anomaly, and archaeology mods, both Dynamic Difficulty series, Gulli's Planet Modifiers and Features, Amazing Space Battles, Merged Leader Levels,  Ultimate Automation, The Pirate Republic, Potent Rebelions, Expanded Diplomacy and Espionage, Downscaled Ships, Fleet Formation Mod, a bunch of extra tradition and ascension perk mods, GAPS:Traits, The Great Khan Expanded, Aggressive Crisis Manager, all three of the "Crisis Manager" mod series, and an assortment of universal patch and rules fix mods.

 

I can't speak to balance since I generally play a completely unbalanced game where I've already steamrolled the galaxy before the midgame year hits, however other than the previously mentioned brood parasite event window, I've run into zero 'game stopping' issues with LV itself and haven't really noticed anything that isn't working as expected with regards to LV.


If there is content missing, it's content I hadn't run into before 3.0.

 

Or in other words, it's working just fine for me.

Given Aquatics Pack incoming in a month or so (most likely), what the odds we won't see an update until after Aquatics comes out? Since indications are that the pack is coming with multiple origins, civics, and potentially a new style of gameplay.

Yeah indeed, Aquatics are coming and probably 3.2 will come at the same time. Will a compatibility version for 3.2 and Aquatics DLC come out first or a fully updated version first?

While I'm not big on the tentacle content, but the first thing for LV to exploit that comes to mind, is a tentacle world, and using a special colossus to create tentacle worlds (Instead of the Deluge, could call it "The Octopus" or (Cthulu).
That and the Angler civic might be a handy basis for something. Like a civic that turns commercial districts on Ringworlds into Nude beaches, or some such. Or making Nude beaches segments in Wet Climate worlds.

Don't forget that there apears to be a new planet cracker varient that drowns a planet in a torrent of liquid. Impregnating planets anyone? Even more ironic if you do this to a planet that has the "living planet" modifier.
