The age on his account says 40, he says in chat he's 15 so not knowing his real age they ban him. upon appeal if he does he will have to show proof he is 18 or over because it shows he has downloaded adult content. this is one I can understand, no website wants that kind of legal issue which it could turn into real quick if his parents want to get pissy about it and he is actually only 15. all he would of had to do is keep his big mouth shut about age.

But here's the rub. They made that "adult" content accessible to him in the first place, that makes them coupable. And i agree, if he was infact underaged he should have kept his mouth shut, but then again, he is a child so you really can't expect him to have a fully functioning brain. But that goes to show how childish some of the moderators are and how (literally) childish some of the nexus fanboys are.

Only because his age on his account is listed as 40. much like content here is made accessible even without having an age listed. "honor system" and yes anyone hosting adult content is liable in the same way. I'm sure if someone were to be dumb enough to admit to being under aged here Ashal would have no qualms about ousting said person. To many bad things could happen these days to a website to allow it to continue. God I can't believe I just defended a ban on the nexus (((((shudders)))))

Even a retarded monkey can get it right once in a while.

Concerning Nexus and their age 'rule';  Minors cannot legally buy a copy of the games featured at Nexus (most of them).  The 'you must be 13 years old' is a joke.  Realistically, the cut off age for any of game forum should be 18.  Doesn't matter if the kid LIES and says he's 18, but 13 yr olds have no business downloading mods for games they can't legally own.  If mommy and daddy bought it for them that is strictly on the parents.  It isn't up to Dark0ne to say 'you're 13 so it is okay'.  That isn't his call.  The right parent at the right time decides to look at junior's PC and finds adult mods, guess who mommy is going after?  If it happens to be Nexus and she sees Dark0ne pandering to minors (it IS what he's doing with the whole 13-is-okay business) she's going to hammer him and Nexus.  Nexus is hosted in the U.K. and the last I heard, they're not real tolerant these days.

Wouldn't that be a delicious end to Nexus?  Dark0ne in court and Nexus seized by the British fuzz?  XD

Saw something similar on Facebook before.

Some 9-year-old girl cussing out the admin of a page called "Squidward ******* Tentacles"

Something along the lines of "hey dont cuss. is inapropret" which later became a meme.

The parents and their families went on a flame war against the Facebook page, and the trolls from the obvious troll page created a whole new one to make fun of "inpropret." The family of inept assholes got their asses handed to them by the internet all the while continuing to preach about how the page was in the wrong and not them, who let the 9-year-old make a Facebook and post what anywhere else would be considered pr0nz. They threatened with calling the FBI and all that shit but really in the end the little girl was not punished, the page was not punished, the parents were left butthurt. The page continued to force the meme till it stopped being funny.

If someone goes up against D0rky and his lumbering mass of imbeciles because some underage brat made an account on the Nexus they won't stand a chance because the internet is the internet. If a parent finds adult mods on their kid's PC who's gonna get in trouble? Them, with Child Services for neglect.

only thing I can think of on that one is he has listed everyone he's using content from but probably doesn't want it on Nexus for fear of banning. SGHair by Hellosanta is part of the content which was taken off Nexus. I can only guess they'd find something wrong with it and he doesn't want to go through the BS. or he has them listed but didn't get actual permission. no idea though. I'm surprised it's still up sense there's no actual DL on Nexus :)

I saw someone make a mod page for a Let's Play series before.

It stayed up for weeks :|

Quick! Someone anonymously upload some mods with hidden age-related references. To the LL mobile! :D

All jokes aside, that'd be a scrumptious end to Nexus.

I got temp-banned from NexusMods for saying that ApolloDawn's "Civil War Overhaul" was too buggy and incomplete to be considered a 3rd revision stable release, all while praising the concept and providing debug logs.

The contention I was making is that calling a mod stable, when it isn't and you know it isn't, is tantamount to wasting the time of those who just want to enjoy a mod that does what it says. There should be room for testing and experimental work, but if a mod breaks at spontaneous times 7 times in a row (7 different new saves) on an unofficial patches + official DLC install while calling itself stable version 3.0, then something ain't right.

Too offensive to say that. Engage the banhammer!

That site is just amazing.

Knowing Apollo, for all of his sense of humor, sounds like it's what from you that he couldn't take. Wow.

Before Nex ever existed, there was Fanfiction.net, and I once used to read some fics. Not all of them are well-written, and there are some who can't really take criticism easily. No difference between the two, there are great fics and mods, and then shitty fics and mods.

That's largely the reason I left there as well.  Constructive criticism was always welcome but there was always that lurker that hang around waiting to scream, "it looks like shit lolz you fucking noob!" and that alone was enough to close my account and never look back.  I even remember this poor girl whose name I won't mention was constantly harassed by some cum licking douche who didn't like her name.  Poor thing eventually left because of this troll from hell.

Nexus is starting to go down that same route so I've taken to just remaining quiet and occasionally giving comments on good mods.

*you cant answer me if you are not listening to me* funny http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1756262-zzsquadron-formal-warning-issued/

Now he's sock-puppeting here as a broad, trying to push his so-called "CTD fix", which involves a very tedious process of using NMM, noting the loadlist, then having the game reinstalled completely from Steam, and using an ISO utility to create an image of the installation.

He ought to cut the bullshit and use MO. That's it, problem solved.

Which mod was it?

It wasn't a mod it was some idiot trying to push his LP series for some youtube fame.

He even made a nice colorful page for it on the Nexus.

"ON THIS EPISODE OF LET'S PLAY SKYRIM I TACKLE THE OVER 6000 STEP CLIMB TO HIGH HROTHGAR!"

I've been trying to look it up but Google won't help either.

Yup. Mod Organizer takes care of all that nonsense. What a maroon! :P

Wow. Rage against the machine. Looks like I'll have to buy some popcorn.

Here's the basic rundown of the, duh, repair manual:

  1. Taking a screencap of the entire load list (which could have been accomplished more easily by exporting the load list as a text file; note that he's using NMM, which is shite).
  2. Deleting the Installinfo directory.
  3. Reinstalling Skyrim from Steam (should've been done better by running verify cache -- how many hours does it takes to leech it?).
  4. Reinstall mods based on the screencap of the loadlist
  5. Install this so-called "repair patch", which he doesn't specify if it's a utility, a patch, or the Nines know what.
  6. Save Skyrim into an ISO disc (which is almost just as tedious as downloading the game).
  7. The ISO disc would be used as a backup should the game gets fouled up and the user has to extract it again.

To be honest, this snake oil isn't some form of piracy but a way of backing up the existing installation, yet the time spent in following the above procedure could've better be used in studying how MO works and using it properly. Furthermore, I have a feeling that the author has some sort of a complex, expecting the Skyrim player base to kiss his ass.

I would imagine this notice at the very bottom of the manual is what they considered breaking the rules.

***NOTE: sexlab users: do not install sexlab in the ISO. Install aftereach extraction. Sexlab requires a fresh installation each time.
 And

always click GenerateFNISforUsers.exe after the install.

Yeaaaaah...about the repair manual or whatever...it looks like the creator's here on LL now.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Might wanna run your AV if you decide to use it. I'll just let MO handle my problems, as usual. :sleepy:

It says i don't have permission to view that topic

Same here. I could swear I read that topic just a couple of hours or so ago.
