and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person (or animal) was real.

doesn't matter if a screenshot would be considered an image since nothing in it is "Real" as per the last line in your post.

I just had a thought Mercury, that particular Oblivion pose has no urination effect and I don't remember seeing any photoshopped into it (not sure if it was or wasn't) but still, how the *&^% did he know one way or the other? it was only a squatting pose, is every squatting pose meant as urination somehow? aaaah that's what he meant by "whats next scatt?" so male or female in that pose would of gotten a person banned for "squatting". how believably Nexus.

I already knew he did this chickenshit sort of thing.  I've posted about it here before.  You were banned for NOT breaking any of rules listed on Dark0ne's TOS.  He, his staff and the occasional Nexus cheerleader claim they do not ban people for no reason...but they DO.  You were banned for being a 'spammer' yet you didn't spam Nexus.   Kinda makes you NOT a spammer, but it does make Dark0ne a liar and full of shit just like always.

Only three possible answers.

 

1. They sent him a PM with something in it like an image, linking back to them, and he opened it. This will reveal your IP to whoever is hosing the image. If they were doing that with images in the open forums, every who saw them would have their IP listed -- though they cannot tell who is who.

 

2. Ashal is a collaborator. Off with his head!

 

3. They're making shit up. This one is almost certainly the true option.

And of course they are looking at other sites for users to ban on nexus, i guarantee if you down talk them here and open an account with the same users name there you'll get banned for some (any) bullshit reason they can pull out of their backsides. 

I have the same name here as on the Nexus. I have been here going on almost 2 years. and yes I have stated some bad things about the Nexus. According to you .. I should already be banned. I am not. They are too busy worrying about all their business than to be worried about some other modder site like LL and their members to go hunting across the web to find them so that they can eliminate them from their site. 

 

The issues are more likely that they did get something sent to them or the such like Pride stated that gave a clear IP address and they banned the IP address. If it was from this individual or from someone else that might be a different matter.

Then again I'm a rather upstanding citizen, tester, bug-fixer, and a few modders like me.

Could that play into it? I supposed it could but then Dante doesn't seem the type to really give a shit about those things.

So that's a moot point.

I don't think they'd just go an willy nilly ban someone over there because they said something about them over here.

Mind you, I can't assert the true limits of their childishness but it's a little too much even for them.

The issues are more likely that they did get something sent to them or the such like Pride stated that gave a clear IP address and they banned the IP address. If it was from this individual or from someone else that might be a different matter.

How would they know that mercury11 was spamming on other forums and what does that have to do with Nexus to begin with?  It is none of their bussiness what goes on outside of their fucked-up little microcosm.  They have no vetted interest in any forum other than Nexus itself.  Giving Nexus the benefit of doubt, even if mercury11 indeed spammed another forum in the past, that doesn't violate the Nexus TOS.

Kendo I do see your point and personally think they acted a bit rash and harsh. Even if someone has done something elsewhere unless they do it on their site it really shouldn't be their concern.

 

However I think this happened: 

When he logged on they were able to  confirm that IP and since that  IP has given other similar sites trouble they banned him to prevent the possibility of future drama and troubles in case he decided to turn his sites against them. Very similar to other bans which were over trivial matters. If they think you are causing trouble or will cause trouble they will ban you.

So first off, let me just clarify, I am a girl, I have a vagina last time I checked   So now that's off my rack, time to get back on topic about the IP ban.  I can't access the site, period.  So I had my brother over and he recommended a web browser that might help which hides your IP address.  So I tried it out and it worked, I was able to get on to the Nexus site.  I do have another account that I made after the ban so I can download files.  I was able to access the site through my smartphone and the account is still active.  Anyway, I had my brother make an account and as he clicked submit this pops up:

 

 

 

 

I know it's not the email address, because my brother has never had an account on Nexus, so it must be the IP address.

 

So now I have a few options:

 

1.  Call my ISP and have them change my IP address

2.  Use my smartphone to download files.  But that didn't work.  The downloads failed, so I'm trying to figure out a way.

3.  Move

4.  Download what I need at the local library.

 

 I also have never replied or posted anything on Nexus with my other account.

Just get a new IP address and Email that you will use for the account. It shouldn't be hard. However sometimes other companies might make you jump through some steps to recognize the new IP and such. You don't need to use that email for anything more than Nexus account. Perhaps even use if for some garbage email accounts and such.. you get the idea. That is what I would do if I ever got banned from there.

I never lied about why I was banned!  The Nexus staff are self-important assholes and they bully people on a regular basis.  I called them out for that in serveral PMs and I handled them the way they handle everyone else.  I was rude, condescending and everything else they do and then laugh about later.  The only difference is that I'm real stand up kind of muther-fucker and I don't need to hide behind yellow text.  The staff there is full of shit and I told them so.  They didn't like it and I was banned.  No big shock there.  It's not my fault they suck, I just pointed it out.

 

And I can't wrap my head around how quoting them verbatim and posting screen shots of what they say and do can be considered 'lies and slander'.  The only lies I've ever seen posted here are as quotes from Nexus staff OR Nexus fanz worming in to try a discredit us for POINTING OUT THE OBVIOUS and then laughing our asses off about it.

If you post something stupid and wrong and then get quoted and laughed at, who's fault is it?  If you don't like being handled rough then MAYBE you should think about reigning in that zoo staff of yours and start treating people the way YOU want to be treated.  I don't see anyone here bitching about pirates and trolls and thieves getting banned.  I see people YOU fucked over in one way or another and then you justified your actions with your blathering bullshit.  If you weren't full of shit and a goddamned tool THIS THREAD WOULD NOT EXIST.

When I saw that I just had to laugh. Unless I am mistaken they give the last word and you can't post any comments back so whatever they stated is only one side of the story. Many times they don't have links or they aren't relevant or complete evidence either. . It would be like having to go to court and only having the prosecutor give evidence and you not be able to respond.

 

On occasion I see the post that they claim as evidence   (provided there is any links or copies of that evidence ) relating to a banning. When you read these little morsels of info you can clearly see the tone of them being condescending and in many cases even hostile. When you work in customer service (which they are, members are customers) you must at all times try to be on the best behavior. Actions like they exhibit when the ban someone is the very reason there is a large hate based community throughout the web.. Like you stated Kendo2. This thread and others wouldn't exist if they were less of a "tool" in their dealings with those they ban.

 

No amount of misspelled entries into the TOS will fix this issue. The fix is simple. Always attempt to keep those members you have. Follow a clear discipline system holding everybody as accountable as possible to the same rules and most of all avoid being hostile to those you interact with when they do something wrong. It is completely unnecessary. Firm yes hostile no. There are many times and many ways they can tun members from unproductive problems into productive members. Most businesses use techniques like these to "recover" customers. Doing the right thing can only make them more successful in the long run.
