I know that's how it really happens, 'cause I see it all the time in the movies.

In my game, for some reason, there is no way to throw the basket!

Actually, I don't even have a basket, though the flowers are bothersomely encumbering, because my effective carry capacity before slowdown starts is about 20.

I plan to have a basket. I just need to make a proper mod for it.

There is already Harvesting Animations (replaced with newer Animations) and Carryable Props.

The former is OLD and sounds suspiciously like it might add a lot of load - will have to see if it was done sensibly.

The latter requires a minor power to equip the props. That sucks too. I don't want some over-zealous mod mistaking it for shouting.

I haven't looked, but presumably the props are just an item in a slot, plus an animation override.

So they can probably be changed to work with equip/unequip and an item enchantment to start/stop the override.

I could even make the basket one of those special containers you can put down.

Sounds like an interesting side project. Don't know where I'm going to fit it in, but it seems to well bounded in scope that it just HAS to be done.

If a good mod already exists for this, please let me know.

In the meantime I'm going to see how the existing mods pan out.

Need to dig out that Gwelda Red Riding Hood outfit or something. A bit too posh for my poor PC though.

The wolves holding off a bit and threatening is a legitimate Skyrim capability, just needs special wolves set up to do it.

If you fail to shout for help quick enough, you simply get attacked and killed, so no hard scripting, simply emergent.

Or bandits, or a bear, or a spider, or multiple smaller spiders.

A bear could be a special rare occurrence. In that case the guard gets eaten and you get blamed.

In practice, you could easily be saved by multiple guards, on different occasions, or the same guard multiple times.

Seems reasonable that if you have to be saved more than once they ban you from leaving the city walls and you have to do something to overcome that.

If saved by multiple guards, they could chat to each other about how you're just doing it to try get a guard as a husband so you can stop being a whore.

Nice flavour.

Actual guard marrying seems impractical, without major investment, but wouldn't stop them talking like it might happen.

Simply using Pet Project to manage the marriage might sort of work, but PP is somewhat oriented towards the rather modern idea of same-sex marriage.

I suspect this is just a stalking horse for my vegetable stall obsession.

(A conceptual exception might be the planned key-deal, but that's another matter, it wouldn't put any actual keys in his inventory).

Could there be a way to tag NPCs with StorageUtil to ensure this behaviour is applied, and not what the player sets broadly in the MCM?

Is such enforcement a good idea?

But this is the default behaviour? Or are they not going to be strictly like normal followers?

I use it quite a bit. Especially in the early game.

You really should move on to a duck pie stand obsession.  Vegetables are so last era.

Thank you for the tip on Cobb's Encumbrance.  I'm seriously considering it.  The configurability has a SLD feel.  I think I'll want to tone down the default speed buff at low encumbrance though.

For reasons that baffle me, I don't have encumberance and some other carry data as an input in SLD. That will likely be fixed at some point, after which Cobb's won't really be needed.

That one went over my head I'm afraid. It's not just a pun on fuck is it?

There aren't actually any ducks IN Skyrim. Strange.

Answer me this?

Why do we never see Ysolda trading anything?

She doesn't even do drug deals, except for that dull quest with the sleeping tree sap.

Soooo needs a fix. Not sure what mod would be the place to put such a fix. Maybe just it's own little standalone patch?

+ Set Ysolda to vendor.

+ Give her a decent cash reserve.

+ Give her an inventory of skooma, milks, lockpicks, survival gear, strong alcohol and potions.

+ She won't trade weapons or armor unless you have the trading perk of overpoweredness.

Which leads me to...

I spent about a week of game time trying to find a vendor to sell me a compass. Finally got one off the khajit. Nobody else had one.

Do they need to be so hard to find?

I know it's supposed to be random, but it feels more like general traders should have them forced into their container because they're so important.

Another thought I had...

Map+compass restriction could be lifted in cities. Why? A passerby or guard can tell you where things are, and it blocks so many poorly designed quests.

Other quests it doesn't exactly block but simply makes tedious and uncertain. Is this the right door? Or just a door that leads there?

Or at least, usable in Jarl palaces... Why? There is map of Skyrim in most palaces. Dragonsreach has more than one.

There are some other places you can look at an in-world map too. Castle Dour for example.

The player could then check out quest locations, see where quests are, but not necessarily have the ability to easily navigate there once out of the city (or palace).

It seems a fair compromise between quests that demand you look at the map vs map and compass are meaningful.

I guess I was suggesting that normal followers would use what is in the SLS MCM, but guards would always act in a pre-defined way.

What I just found with "Animations" and Equipable props, is that they are incompatible with each other.

The props mod equips an animation overlay, and the basket is pretty and colorful. It looks great.

The harvest animation is completely incompatible with the basket and looks awful with it, with the basket being tipped upside down.

It then strips the overlay, causing the basket to vanish as the animation completes. ?

I am convinced I've seen a harvest animation that uses the basket in some MXR or Gamerpoop video, but I cannot find a mod that claims to do this.

I guess it's sort of OK if I just use the basket and skip the animation.

What I really want is:

  • Basket is functional as a container, as per the backpack containers mod.
  • Equipping the basket would unequip weapons.
  • Equipping the basket would set the overlay.
  • Unequip partially filled basket puts it down as per backpack containers.
  • Pick up partially filled basket equips it.
  • Harvest animation would be basket aware and restore overlay at the end.
  • Basket for sale from general traders.
  • Pests don't rush over and secretly steal all my flowers if I put the basket down nearby for a few minutes.

I think I could make this happen if I had (a) time, (b) a compatible harvest animation.

I'm convinced that (b) already exists.

I might make (a) if I can find (b).

Not sure about that last issue. Maybe Monoman can address with some kind of configurable safety radius in SLS?

This mod blew my mind: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=15488

I believe there's one, maybe two harvest-with-basket animations in EatingSleepingDrinking, maybe you can isolate one from there if it works?  Though it's unlikely to go well with the prop basket, I expect.

Probably not. I have never tried that mod, but clearly it is all about trying to eat an entire wheel of cheese without cutting it up.

Like mini-needs, it's not useful for needs because we are stuck in RND world for SLS (now iNeed support, but Monoman himself says it's sort of arbitrary).

I liked iNeed from a game perspective because it could eat for you, so you didn't have to do some pointless clicking.

I had a micro-needs mod of my own for a bit. It simply resolved needs for you if you slept in an inn or player home. You could also buy a meal through a dialog. Just a meal. No carrying food about. I liked the lack of pointless clicking.

What I feel lacking in RND is automatic eating and clear notifications of status so you don't have to check needs to realise you are hungry because you missed the message in a sea of left corner spam. Also, overeating penalties are silly. You go from full to overeating just like that. Not immersive, and not fun or interesting either. Overeating penalty should only happen after a lot of overeating. Then you should probably throw up :)

I liked the features in mini-needs, but it was hardly mini! It's a large, complicated mod. It went sideways for me, leaving the on-screen widgets broken. As those are one of its main selling points, that was a pain. iNeed widgets have never broken for me.

I'm not aware of a needs mod with vomit simulation, even though people are happy to simulate "private needs". It seems appropriate for diseases and bad food. Diseases where you throw up, or collapse and can hardly stand seem more ... interesting ... than a debuff ... but if those things were done (not so hard) then work would have to go elsewhere to make them non-stupid in play. Right now you get bitten by a wolf and five minutes later you're as sick as you're going to get.

Wounds is quite good for this, but wounds illnesses seemed to drag on for days and days, which isn't really DF compatible.

As for the ESD animations, perhaps there is something useful. The shock surprise here is that ME never had one. ME has an animation for practically everything. It probably has a vomit animation for all I know.

If I ask some LL animator to make such an animation I'm pretty sure they'd wonder why they should do that instead of making more fap animations. They have a point.

I may be the only person interested in a flower girl mod where you actually pick flowers.

The basket animation is vanilla of course. The NPCs use it all the time.

There is a pick flower animation in vanilla too, but I'm not sure if it works with the basket at all, or is the one that is in Animations (which is useless).

As there is so much to do, sorting this out is pretty low-priority, but if I wanted to go down an animation rabbit-hole and figure how to do override animations for skeleton sub-trees, I guess it would be as good a reason as any. I don't have a copy of Max more than about a million years old, so I doubt I can make any animations myself, even rubbish ones - all I need to do is move an arm really. Maybe the trick is to merge two vanilla animations, but that might be quite hard to do.

If you just use the basket, and do without the animation it's not so bad.

I can see how the animation would need to work, and it would be a lot different. It would need to put the basket down as you crouch, pick the item, put it in the basket, then pick the basket up again.

The animation I've seen is a standing one, where the PC reaches out and drops an item in the basket.

I don't know if it's vanilla, or was created for something. That would be an ideal solution though, as it looks like it works with vanilla basket override.

Probably unrelated, your game just froze all its stacks, leaving whatever was running at the time dead.

Open save game cleaner and look for frozen stacks. They are a bad sign.

Always could be a bad mod event though.

Hello,
could you perhaps add in a future version that the guards can't take away all armor parts, clothes etc. if you don't have a license?

Something like that is interesting for people like me, who equip equipable hair, ears or tails.

It is somewhat counterproductive when such objects that are actually part of the body are removed.

You could solve this similar to the SexLab framework, that you can see all the armour pieces you have added in the MCM and mark those you don't want to have removed!

The M&C really shouldn't be that hard to find. I quite often find one straight away or usually within 2 traders and very very rarely any more than 3.

Are you sure the container forms are getting merged correctly?

There are audio cues. Your stomach rumbling - hunger. Clearing your throat - thirsty and yawning for tiredness.

I really don't 'get' the love for iNeed. It also has audio notifications but you sound like a man? And from my testing and painful hours of trying to hook into it - simply waiting on the spot restores fatigue... No need for a bed, just stand there like a robot until morning. Which of course completely undermines sleep deprivation. Yuck!

You can either:

A) add the item as an exception in the Mcm or better:

B) add the SexlabNoStrip keyword to the item. Seems like hair shouldn't get stripped off during sex really anyway so it's the better option I think....

Yes and yes I suppose.

You'll probably have to put SLS lower than GDO in your load order if you want SLS style approach.

I've found in the past that this can be caused by male npcs wearing invisible chastity belts.

Do you use Devious Devices For The Masses?

Nope. On the to-do list.

Is your character addicted? Need more feedback on default addiction rates. (too fast/too slow etc). Also if you could tell me your timescale setting.

Youre the best ever for adding cum addiction, I cant believe no one else made anything like that yet, thank you!

Maybe there could be a button or some way to lick up the cum on your body when youre an addict to satisfy your cravings for a bit? And it would clear some of the cum off your skin!

Also, does picking up the scattered gold from whoring actually give extra gold? I didnt notice any and I worked hard for it! :(

It's supposed to. I think I broke it when I fixed something else. Someone told me about it already but I forgot about it afterwards.
