Any idea what this animation... looks like? I'm assuming it's a hkx file but I can't associate any of the file names with 'open mouth'.

No, but I'm fairly sure ME 2.01 had it. There was possibly even a key-bind specifically for it. Working from there I guess it's a chore of tracking back to find the property, then the idle, then the animation it uses, which you can look up in the behaviour file to find the original animation, which is probably called off_mun_03 or something helpful like that :)

The guards do not want to talk

The important thing to know is that your game is not working as intended.

It is not normal for guards to not speak to you, with, or without SLS.

SLS only adds to guards, it does not remove their normal dialogs or behaviors.

If you provide details about your game, how you installed SLS, how it worked before you installed SLS, then you can probably get help resolving the issue.

Welp.. I love this new update. I cringe at how much more blatant fuqtard all the males are.

Which of course, is kind of the point.

I did encounter some issues @Monoman1 with the armor and confiscation.   Armor despite the toggle off did trip for me. I went to city and after being chastised again I stripped out of all armor and saved.. exit.. load. No more chastise when dressed. That was an ongoing save with update.

License being taken was also happening. Same action for ongoing game fixed. I think. I ve not seen it repeat again yet.

New game post update saw me also suffer the armor issue. But that was a new game updating an existing save for character creation via Skyrim Unbound. So same applied for the armor issue. And they were counting items not really armor per say but badly id'd as. Backpack with an armor class in that case. But the above fixed that. Not sure on license in that one either. ;)

Modmanager NMM

Did you allow all overwrites for SLS?

Is your log file full of errors from SLS that describe properties not being filled due to wrong type or not in the script?

If this latter, remove SLS, clean save, or go back to a save before original install, try to install again.

Only install one new mod at a time.

Do not change LO after mid-game install, put newest install mod at the end of the LO.

If you made a new setup and sorted with LOOT, your LO is probably not good. Possibly some important ESP or ESM were unticked from plugins.

Your problem is not SLS specific, you have an install problem.

I believe that SLS food/drink removal from interiors is removing the quest Argonian Ale from the Bannered Mare.

That would be MWA. Which quest is this?

Unfortunately you'd have to turn off the toggle before entering the inn.

Why is there no IsQuestObject() in skyrim?

Hi, How to pay a fine? Whom ?

Like Lupine says, SLS doesn't mess with vanilla guard dialogue with the exception of the approaches for shouting and dropping weapons but that's it.

If however, it's an eviction fine you're talking about then there's a small strong box near the confiscation chest to pay the release fee.

Just to be clear as I think some people are misunderstanding. The new guard behaviours thing is not related to the licence system at all. It's just a set of rules for vanilla guards to enforce. Eg: Even if you have an armor licence and you have 'Armor equipped' enabled then you'll still get complaints about wearing armor. I suppose I could make it licence aware, or give it an option to be.

HEY AGAIN ...i know it's not your mod ..but you seem a master of moding and fixing mods ...i would ask you for a a small help if possible ..i uninstalled your mod completely ..and ran Dark arena ..seems the problem wasn't SLS ..i still can't figure what wrong ...can you help me figure what is the problem ..or which mod is causing it

LoadOrder_Skyrim_2020-01-02T14-17-36.txt 4.81 kB · 0 downloads

Load orders are never particularly useful for me. I'm familiar with my own mods. Everything else, not so much.

Have you tried disabling defeat?

This isn't really something I can debug for you. It's your load order/mod setup. All I can do is offer advice on how to debug it.

1. Disable all mods except for the essentials - Dark arena + SkyUi + whatever else is needed to run the mod as minimum as possible.

2. Start a new game. Get to the arena, get into a pit fight. Save your game.

3. Get defeated in the arena and make sure everything works as intended. This is now your 'Baseline'

4. Enable all of your mods again. Load your save. Get Defeated - This is to verify the problem reoccurs with all mods just dumped roughly into a save.

5. Disable all mods again except for dark arena plus the minimum that worked before.

6. Start enabling blocks of mods from the top of your load order. Maybe 10 or 20 at a time.
7. Load your save. Verify works or doesn't work. If it doesn't work then the problem is in the group of mods you just enabled.

8. Keep enabling blocks of mods until the issue reproduces. And further narrow it down.

It's a lot of work. But nobody can really do this for you.

I'd like to ask to add some sort of control (Enforcers?) to the College Of Winterhold.

Because it's quite a loophole now since it allows access to advanced merchants and trainers without risk of going to cities. So it's possible to quickly raise levels to around 10 and also there's quite a lot of items to get from the easy dungeon there for the first quest (even if you're a low-level - Tolfdir will carry you around). All you need to do to get to this paradise is to sneak through the Winterhold to the College avoiding attention - which is easy from the coastal side.

Normally I wouldn't bother, but College is the only place that creates a loophole. I could think of fort Dawnguard too - but it's near impossible to anything there while being low-level (and even the quest itself starts at quite a high level and requires visiting a city which is hard to do while unnoticed).

Also, do you think you could add some compatibility with this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36849 ? It's a very popular overhaul for the College and I don't imagine having the College without it... but unfortunately that adds even more loopholes (respawning food as an example). The easiest fix here I think is just to make it so it's impossible to pick up anything without "stealing" it (i.e. add ownership to the objects there).

Thanks in advance

Winterhold is fairly difficult for me in my game. It's way out in the middle of nowhere. There's a bottle neck fort along the way choc full of high level necromancers, reiklings everywhere, frost trolls, not to talk about frostfall exposure. I don't go out there without a purpose so it would seem fair in my setup that if you can survive out there then maybe you should be rewarded. Might add one enforcer to the courtyard maybe, we'll see....

That's also something I wanted to add - a slider for max training sessions per level. I use requiem for it and set it to zero (no training. As I think it makes things a bit more interesting) but I think it'd fit SLS too.

That's a problem for that mod I'm afraid. I hate mods that don't add ownership to all the crap they add. Which is why I have practically no world edit mods installed. It's half the reason I removed JK skyrim (the other half being FPS and bad nav meshing even though it does look gorgeous).

MWA does have a food remover feature if your interested but it comes with extra 'baggage' of course. The food remover can cause problems as well sometimes as noted by Lupine in a recent post here.

I don't think there should be an enforcer in the college thematically only those who have joined the college or are important individuals can enter the college at all they police their own. As for survivals themes it doesn't make too much sense either. The only change I would make is making you require a magic licence to start the college questline.

While it could fit, I personally don't think I would use it. I actually increased the max number of trainings per level in my game, but with a vastly increased cost per level, so that training at all is a non option for a while. I think them charging more to attempt to train a stupid woman is better than them refusing to do so at all.

Hi again @Monoman1

I have found a bug with SLS's MCM:
SLS's new spank options are staying locked forever if you've once clicked "Hardcore mode".

For reproduction:
I have...
1. Updated SLS mod
2. Installed last STA
3. Seted them all up and enabled HC mode in SLS
4. Played some time with SLS and STA
5. Uninstalled STA
6. Cleared save
7. Disabled HC mode to set up default spanking... and have noticed this bug.

Perhaps along the cliff side approach then. Although I think one of the guys does go out that direction but then that depends on if he spawns or not.

Well I can leave it out either. Doesn't bother me either way, like I say I have it in requiem anyway.

Can't seem to reproduce any issue. Can you provide exact steps for me to do to recreate it from a new game maybe so that we're on the same page.

Finally got a chance to actually play the game with new update, very good changes. Anything to make the enforcers stand out and make it like an old school RPG / Action game where you had to avoid guards is great. Voices and torches worked perfectly. Tyty

Hey, for some reason toll collectors dont approach me anymore when I evaded the toll. It is flagged as TRUE in the MCM, but when I enter the respective city they will only control licenses. Did anyone else have such an issue or is it just me modding my game to death?

Ah I see. Well, this is a fair point. I think I didn't encounter this because of Alternate Start which allows for numerous ways to get there safely. Of course, starting in the Winterhold inn is the easiest one - assuming successful sneaking around enforcers in Winterhold, but path over north coastal line from places like Solitude / Dawnstar works too. So "surviving" generally means avoiding troubles and running fast - which isn't a great feat - or at least I think it doesn't warrant the huge reward College provides.

Cool! That would be really great. 0 seems like a complete shutdown of game's core functionality, but I'd really like to have it as 1

Fair point. Of course I can just pretend it's not there, for .. roleplaying purposes. On the other hand - roleplay - mages have their meals provided for free with magic ... eh.. you get the idea.

I use popular world-changing mods, but they all work just fine. I actually was surprised that SLS is working so well with my favorite cities expanded (not the open cities for obvious reasons + known crashes with it). SLS also made many world-changing mods to make sense - like Sewers for example.

Anyways, thanks for considering adding enforcers to College. Maybe add them as "Disciplinary Instructors" ? I.e. wearing mage robes and sitting/patrolling in Arcaneum, Hall Of The Elements, Hall of The Attainment, Hall Of The Countenance and the courtyard. They could in theory be just "mages" (like Nirya / Enthir) and having generic dialogues if necessary, but generally they would behave like "we don't want troubles because of our misbehaving students" - and they don't have to "escort to safety", maybe just kick out of the College to the Winterhold where normal enforcers will easily take it over.

I like the idea about magic licence for the College questline - though it may be difficult in implementing and not breaking said questline (not questioning your abilities, it's just there are other mods that also alter it and if someone uses those, it can potentially explode etc etc - adding more compatibility notes to the main post)

What's your detection distance for cities (toll mcm page) set to?

Maybe try disable toll evasion and re-enable.

Have you tried enabling 'Responsive enforcers' + increasing their detection distance (Licences mcm page)?
