I need a SLSurvivel_ENGLISH.txt in the directory Data/interface/translation that contains your SLS_Mcm.pec to avoid having to translate the .pec file. Unfortunately I don't know how to create this file! But since most of the mods contain it, it can't be difficult.

Development stopped, and I suspect most of its problems are extremely hard to resolve. I got a satisfactory outcome out of it more often than Simple Slavery or DiD, but that's not a high bar. I found in most cases, escape was very easy, but sometimes it would be bugged somehow, and the NPC with your gear would vanish, or zone out. Sometimes NPCs from the location would get muddled up in the mess. I turned off everything but its custom location. Also, using vanilla NPCs as kidnappers occasionally seemed to work OK, but at one point I had a kidnap Ulfric chasing me, while I was with the real Ulfric doing civil war, which was ... very silly. I gave in and turned that off too. In some cases the scene wouldn't end properly, there were problems with some followers ... all the usual kinds of issues with mods that try this sort of thing really. I wish it had worked better. It was a great idea. Clearly, tricky to execute.

Once you can sell DDs for cash, it can be all too easy to get out of the hole. That's one reason why I keep rattling on about mechanics to make vendors off limits randomly, or according to some rules, or ... something. If you got to Whiterun and found you had to pay 2000 gold to be able to vend ... I guess you'd be fully screwed, especially with DF enslavement running ... as you wouldn't be able to hold 2000 gold to pay to vend and ... So, clearly something like that would be too much. But some kind of system where to get to a certain town, and it's hit or miss whether you have to ... for example ... put down a deposit to trade, would spice things up. Yes. Yes. This is my merchant licenses, and merchant deals mechanics simplified again. In this incarnation, you - sometimes - need to pay the toll guards a deposit before you can trade. Then, on leaving, you get your deposit back, but only as long as no bounty was collected or added to you while you were in town. Otherwise, you lose your deposit. The idea is it's some kind of surety of good behaviour. So you wont scam the poor merchants of Whiterun, or wherever. If you get to a town and can't pay the deposit, you can always go somewhere else and hope there isn't one. I suggest it would be random, with a chance set in the MCM.

They skew the economy too much. More misfortune (getting locked in devices) = more fortune really when you can sell them after. 1

Without the merchant perk you can't really sell devices.

Especially since they're so damn common). B) Just not be able to sell devices (which is what I do). Yes! No! Um. Basically, it it doesn't solve the problem I want to solve at all. And messing with practically every loot table in the game is more trouble than a vendor hack that leverages code you already wrote. Not just in terms of modifying the tables, but with the conflicts, and merges, and balance decisions. And DD devices were just one example. The real issue is that in a game where most drops are bikinis I won't sell anyway (I have a personal rule I must loot every bikini and keep every one, unless over encumbered already), armor and weapons aren't really the main loot source anyway. I can't carry that heavy stuff because it's heavy and I'm full of bikinis. Most of my cash comes from the odd scroll, gem, book, alto wine, robes, and DD items. Rather than not take speech perks, I want to be forced to take them to sink perks I might have spent on destruction or heavy armor or something. Then I want to solve the problem of easy selling via situational mechanisms that add flavour, rather than just boringly not having the perk and not selling them item, and having to run about from vendor to vendor, playing an extremely tedious cash optimisation game. I like shortcutting that. The advantage of being able to sell anything to any vendor is removal of tedium. It creates some issues. If the player can set the chance and the deposit size range, they can balance how they like without this tedious and interminable ESP editing, which is a pain in MO too, forcing you to duplicate mods for different profiles. The device price thing needs a proper fix in DD, because some prices are unaccountably silly. Don't get me started on The Dollmaker and her 32000 gold cash pool that lets you sell even absurd 2500 gold value items easily, and leverage all your +speech and +price items while doing it too. I don't know why it gets so much hate, as it would be super-fun. This is now on my to do list: 1) make Simple Slavery steal all my gear and put it in a container I have to pay dearly to recover. 2) make SLS demand random deposits and make vendors (and only vendors) act as if I lack licenses if I don't pay it. 3) four bazillion things I want in SLD right now.
Bushi Neko Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Well.. I found a fix for the RND issue and rest. I stopped using it. Mid play thru' even. Swapped to iNeed and having zero issues @Monoman1 ( nod to @donttouchmethere for suggesting it ) My rest is always even keeled with what iNeed says, and SLS even works with Dangerous Disease option running. On a different note. Found a new use for SLS gold theft. So my devious follower is one I always took to be a bit of a jerk anyway.. so I had no money to hire him but I play you need a man to leave unless your tossed out of town ( different story there... ) So in addition to my debt I make myself hand over all money to Mr Man nightly. It's kind of like gold control but I can access it back when needed. The idea being Mr Man has to hold my money since I am just a poor confused girl, and I only need money for sweetrolls or candy. So with follower gold theft it means he takes his ' pimp ' cut automatically on top of his pay. Wow. I just always look for ways to use the tools you mod creators give us to make my life more miserable.. ? …. When you realize.. your follower is not working for you: Spoiler Character Bosmer at .90 if your curious. 1

Hunting each day to eat, too poor to buy anything. Living day to day. No water farms No free food from settlements Instead of starting in the Vault, you awaken in shock, to find out you are a Crack Whore. Dressed like a Hooker, in an old abandoned bookstore, in the bad side of town. I've been working on a perfect mod-list for Skyrim for years, and I'm still working on immersion, and fun. Sexlab Survival has robbed the land of free food and water, like my Fallout 4 mod-list. My character is always hungry and thirsty. Poverty stricken, whoring yourself out, is sometimes the only way to get food and water. My female character is weak, she can only lift 175 pounds. A follower is essential, as she can barely lift a sword. I think you meant me in the quote, since I am the one that said that. Indeed. I gave up on FO4 long ago. Maybe some day modders will make it worth the effort. But it left such a bland taste. Yet here I am, still in Skyrim. Miserable and having the best gaming time ever. I think I may have finally hit a LO I absolutely love. After years of getting a collection I am totally thrilled at the play now. It's much much more than stomping dungeons and fighting. Day to day living is essential and core. I can spend literal days in RL not even adventuring with having a blast trying to get myself ready for the world. Recently my lil' Bosmer alter ego spent several game days alone at the Falkreath cabin just trying to sort her life out a little bit. Once brave enuf' to travel out.. well. Things have progressed to a really ROUGH time. And it's a blast! I ve lost followers, lost a child, been pimped out, been hungry, been cold, been diseased.. I am thinking as her.. WHY DID I LEAVE THE CABIN!?! All the time I have spent on mod collecting and tweaking is totally worth it for just a few days of loving a character. Which tho' some update will come along and probably kill off for me.. but who cares! The fun is there. And the modding is half the hobby. 8 hours ago, Krazyone said: My female character is weak, she can only lift 175 pounds. A follower is essential, as she can barely lift a sword. I start with monoman's default, then adjust based on character race etc. IE my Bosmer female started at only 130 for carry weight. All my Bosmer are tiny. In my mind they just should be. So that means not very strong either. Gotta toughen' up over time. 8 hours ago, Krazyone said: My character is always hungry and thirsty. I only allow the thin cloaks to be excluded by survival. The idea being they want women to know their place, but not just automatically freeze to death. Plus I have SLAdventures crime set for curfew at night. So I often have to pick the worst place to lay down just to get off the streets. < Oh no! > Lots of time I use Dancing to make money. I use SD Dance for a base for gold ( minus train run ) then dance to Lets Dance Again. It is a time sink. but to me a great RP for getting money without just whoring or whatever. I use Radiant Prost. for that. I have it set to a stupid low also. No getting rich slinging the tail. Tough.. is the fun! I agree. I have nothing that lets me simply sell them. Selling them as a woman is forbidden. Even a Slaver Woman is forbidden. hehehe. Gawd.. I am a terrible to women in Skyrim woman... ? I have done all my testing with it and SLA etc. But I gave it a go, and literally no problem anymore. Sleep rape is on still also. ( tho the occurrence of conflict in sleep was always rare for me anywho. ) I have no idea if it matters, but ALWAYS SLEEP NAKED IS OFF. So I strip b4 sleeping manually. The only ' thing ' I see is I get the numbers for sleep scale, not the text of VERY TIRED or WELL RESTED etc ( Which of course is RND descriptor ) ... and I wake up just as I used to with RND. Be it a lousy sleep being tired still.. or an inn bed being fabulous and well rested. < shrug > what can I say? It seems to work fine. shar181 Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 The Riften guards caught me sneaking back into the city after I completed the Goldenglow heist. Bastards took half the stolen loot, and then slapped me in some devices as punishment. After I finally got free, I decided that Iona, my useless housecarl, would just have to put on all those devices and work her ass off to reimburse me for all that lost gold... that'll teach her not to stand up for me! >:3 Spoiler 4

Problem with that is once you need to milk, you need to milk more and more often, and machines in fixed locations just aren't enough. 1
