TBH I think the perpetual licences are already a good end goal for the licences.

The toll gates are a different story. Maybe owning a house would be good enough for a toll pass? It's a bit too easy to get breezehome though. Maybe just a discount or something for owning a house.

It would also undermine all the toll pass ideas on the dev blog (in the later game at least)

The problem I have with the toll, is trying to decide how expensive it should be.

This is one reason I wanted hold-specific options.

I'd really like to set per-hold prices, for the toll at least.

Should it increase with level? Should it decrease with a successful reputation, good deeds for locals, or thanedom?

Should thanes be exempt?

I think the toll is for foreigners, so if you have a house and are a thane, then maybe you shouldn't have to pay?

At least that would make a nice option.

But Breezehome is too easy.

The answer is for SLS to contain a house re-pricing feature :) Just price Breezehome up to 15,000 or so.

It solves a lot of problems with Breezehome undercutting SLS in Whiterun generally.

Another interesting mechanic would be temporary conditions that result in an increased (or decreased?) toll.

Those conditions might be random.

e.g. One day in three the price is double, because the Jarl hear a rumor of an impending attack, or he needs money to buy a new cock-ring or something.

Or based on the licenses you have.

e.g. Each license you have increases the toll by a fixed amount. Longer licenses add more. Configure amounts in the MCM. I think it would be handy to have to pay an extra 200 per long license to leave. And say an extra 100 per short license. Would give a reason to use short licenses. Maybe exempt bikini license too, so another reason to use it?

Or based on the cash you have.

e.g. The toll is a minimum fixed value, OR 10% of your cash, whichever is larger.

Or based on items you brought into the city...

e.g. When you enter, SLS totals up the value of your inventory (and follower's inventory) and sets the toll at 5% of that (or some configurable percent).

An incentive to sneak in via the sewers, because they can't assess what you brought in.

Or based on actions you performed.

e.g. You paid off 250 in bounty, due to things you did in town. The toll adds a variable percentage of that (random) from 20% to 200%. So if you roll 110%, your toll is the normal cost plus 275.

I short, I find static, predictable tolls a bit dull.

But what I find is I almost always have enough cash, which is boring. The alternative would be to set a really high toll, which is unimmersive.

If you don't want to pay ... there's always the sewers ... or the not enough cash solution.

But that choice means that just setting the toll to a high value feels like deciding you're going to do that, not being pushed into it.

Hi guys. I'd like to alter the Device List of Survival. Is there a formID list for all the DD Devices floating around somewhere? It's a real pain switching back and forth from CK or TES5Edit to find out what is what. I tried the GitHub without any luck.

Device List - Copy.xlsx

I'm not sure ALL of those should be used. (There might be prototype/test devices in there too)

+1 to this idea!

Expected and static toll cost are easy and can almoat be ignored when PC is wealthy. may be....

And on map+compass...

And if you try to leave without map+compass, maybe guards demand you have one.

If you don't, they will offer to trade you one. Not for ... cash ... of course.

Funny, but sort of pointless...

Would be cool if you could get bad maps - map is replaced with a comedy version in various scenarios.

Would work well with bimbo curse. Or vendors who sell you defective items because woman can't tell the difference...

This would be a pretty cool stand alone mod, although I think I've seen similar ideas collapse due to technical limitations.  Is it possible to have items with hidden properties in skyrim? So they you don't realize items are defective immediately?

-Get in combat "Hey this is just a wooden sword painted silver!"

-On Equip "Hey this leather armor has a mini skirt and didn't come with underwear!"

-"Hey these combat boots are actually high heels"

-On unsheathe "WTF this isn't a sword, it's a dildo with a sword handle!"

-On read "This isn't a spell book, it's a trashy porn novel!"

Wait... Can I use "devicelist.json" to control what devious devices are used in my game? or is that SLS specific? Either way that is great, I'm really not much of a fan of certain DD items.

Hi, I wanted to report an issue with amputation and Skyrim Chain Beasts.  Namely, the chain beasts are supposed to only be dealing stamina damage, but I end up getting quickly amputated by them, and then look silly when the chain beasts defeat me and slap on DD chains to now nonexistent limbs.

It would be nice if there could be some kind of creature amputation immunity list that blacklists certain creatures from amputating you.  Or maybe just a way to turn on amputation immunity from all non-weapon attacks.

Should already be possible to do this by setting creature health threshold as high as it'll go.

i have a problem there when i go to belethor i dont find any compass and map where can i buy it ?

Either:

1. You were unlucky and that trader hadn't got any or

2. The merchant container record I added the compass to is overwritten by another mod and you do not have a TesEdit merged patch - see post #2

Yes. You can also potentially add devices from other mods - cursed loot/DDE etc. Just be careful with the formatting (mistakes = the file won't be read and devices won't get added)

Problem with this for me is it discourages buying stuff from vendors. And I'd bet most people don't buy from vendors as it is. MWA and survival try to encourage it at least.

I don't believe it's possible to replace the map on the fly in game.

I agree that licenses are good as is... I think having 2 licenses for each category is plenty. Being able to buy them all for the combined price with no discount to save clicks would be nice, but totally unnecessary, it is good as is.

The only thing I would like to see change in that area might be the possibility of earning like a 20% discount or something for 'favors'.

And lastly, I just want to see more dialog in the SLS style, compared to other mods out there Mono mod's writing is truly is exceptional.

And in regard to that, an amazing reference for writing Devious style mods IMO is this author: https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=346583&page=submissions (I post this link for anyone here interested in writing and looking for a muse) - her style of writing has excellent pace, eroticism, and submissive inner monologue for the atmosphere I think most people are after when creating DD type stuff, excellent writer. Mix that with Mono's humor and you have yourself 10/10 style.

It's a fun idea but please remove or replace the text at the bottom if you decide to use that map.  It doesn't belong in the game.

It would be really nice if you could modify the bikini curse to allow normal clothing, or at least add an option for it.

I tried adding the bikini keyword to some stuff I want to use with the bikini armor but I'm still losing stamina. Anything else I need to do?

In the case of map+compass, you have to buy them from vendors. At least, I never had one drop. Maybe they do if you include SLS in your levelled lists?

Somehow, I don't think I, or Monoman have any intention of stealing somebody else's work to put in a mod, with or without the text.

The entire thing was a joke comment. I'm not seriously suggesting defective map+compass.

I have not tried clothing, but pretty much any armor can be added.  You could always switch the clothing item to a light armor with like zero AC or something. Yes, it counts as bikini / armor still, but no issues with items not seeing it as bikini license okay.  I did it with ultimate lingerie when I was tinkering in files.

It makes sense that if the bikini flag is present, it should be treated as a bikini, no matter what it is made of, or what armor category it falls in: clothing, light, or heavy.

It's simpler to only check one thing rather than having additional rules.

It's possible that some code path filters off to deal with clothing before the flag is checked, which causes the problem.

The clothing seems to work now actually. The curse is a bit tricky because it takes awhile to reset. Also, it seems like you have to un-equip everything if you were wearing something without the bikini keyword, then wait a few seconds before you re-equip the edited stuff. That worked for me at least.

First I tried to remove the curse with the console but it came back again sometime later. That's an effective curse tbh.

I don't know what I am doing wrong but the bikini curse is broken for me. Despite wearing bikini armor only my character still gets her stamina drained effectively making her unable to wear anything at all if affected by the curse.

No that's MWA. All you've got to do is save and reload to run the alias cleanup routine. No need to quit the game or anything.

The papyrus log should tell you what object is triggering the curse.

Search for 'sls_'

The curse detection is 'lazy' to stop it processing every single equip event to keep processing to a minimum.

Bikini curse triggered by: Dwarven Bikini Top 04 - [Form < (11012DE8)>]

Actually any piece of bikini armor triggers the bikini curse, my character just happens to be wearing nothing but dwarven bikini top 4 when checking the log.
