@snowdog04 Thanks! The appearance is based on the extremely lovely reimagining in the Alice: Madness Returns game (below). Not sure what's up with the green eyes though, she had gold/brown on another art piece for the game. Maybe an unrealiable narrator thing. ?

Speaking of inconsistent eye color, little Mike's eyes changed color every time there was a loading screen.  When he aged up to child, they finally settled on brown.  I might change that, brown is a dominant color and neither of his parents have brown eyes- Tabitha's are blue, Alistair's are a blue-gray-maybe-green but not brown.  But Mike's eyes also light up a random glowing color every time he makes a ski or snowboard run.  I haven't changed his eyes already, because I'm afraid that will stop happening if I do.

I got nervous the first time I saw Tabitha do this.  I thought she was doing a Superman to Wyle E. Coyote, but thankfully it turns out to be part of a double front flip that she pulled off nicely.

@erplederp I think you, @R-Lo, and only a handful of other people are able to pull off the cute and cartoony look without making your sims look weird. As a side note, I've never played Madness Returns, when did Alice turn into a fucking slasher?

Also, this has been on my mind recently, would it be weird if I included simified versions of some chicks I had crushes on in high school? I'm not gonna use their actual names or anything, but still, I'm wondering if I'm crossing some kind of moral/ethical line by doing that.

The swatches in the pictures are my recolors and the bow mesh was edited to leave only the bow without the hair band part because I didn't like it randomly clipping with hair (so let me know if you'd like the edits too).

The game is supposed to be a dark take on the story (or maybe a continuation because Alice is 19 in the game) and it has some pretty heavy elements/themes (the slashing is not it). It is quite good and plays well. It also looks great - the dream levels are creative, Alice hair and clothes flow nicely when she moves, she has multiple outfits and (weird) weapons... Some levels are perhaps longer than they should be. The game has some similarities with Psychonauts, but is more combat focused (and darker).

Here's how she looks in a "neutral" lighting if you'd like. The Sylvan Glade has a bloom effect which looks neat but makes her skin even more pale and washes out her freckles, makeup and other detais somewhat.

I don't think it's weird. People share their SimSelves on the gallery for random strangers to do with what they please. These are sims, not people. Now if you made sims of these girls and started "falling for them", that would be beyond weird. Because they're not real people, and mostly because they're sims with no personality. Heck, you can make girls you hated in high school and do "not nice" things to them. Get your money's worth from this game.

Yes, it was. Like erplederp wrote, this game is nice, and I loved the dark fantasy behind it but after a while I hated it for beeing too much jump´n run. It is so well made in every other aspect, the riddles are well thought, the story is exquisite, the fights are funny, and the weapons very crazy... but not those jumping parts. Maybe it´s possible to play it with a gamepad but with mouse and keys... I stopped playing it, and now it´s dust on one of my external drives...

 

@snowdog04, those pictures are extremely nice, I love the one with your sim ending in a pile of snow, didn´t know that this can happen. ?

 

And it seems, that the bugs in this addon and the previous patch will occur very selective. Cause of my sims kid not able to hike and climb, I made a birthday party with a cake: Many other players said, this feature won´t work in their games anymore, I had no problems. This issue with the colour of the eyes - my sims kid has brown eyes and they still were the same after aging up.

But now my game is totally broken, after my kid formed a group with her mother to use the Onsen bath. I tried to stop this group activity, and now my two teens are stuck in a standing position, any try of a MCCC reset won´t work, even after loading they are stuck, and I can teleport them to their home, but there they also only stand still and I can´t give them any order anymore.

But still many players can´t start their game anymore, so we all, who can play, should call ourselves happy simmers. What did EA say to the simmers, who are playing on a Mac (luckily not me)? Hopefully the patch will help, hopefully... If programmers start to speak of hope, then something is going totally wrong with their "work".

And during building the Onsen bathhouse I had a fresh made sim for testing all the features there. In a way all my female sims share the same face, something, I can´t explain. But the reason for this picture was her facial expression, that I loved to see. Those small details are, what causes me to continue playing this crappy game.

@porkybork Way back when I was a pup, in the days of Sims 1, I made a Sim after my school crush. And used her real name! They married, had kids and stuff. I don't think it's weird. The Sims is all about acting out fantasies!

It had some jumping segments and a level like this. I don't remember it being particularly difficult (a fear of heights would not help, true), but it has been a while since I played it.

 

@mrrakkonn Nice! Is the uniform, including the (mini)skirt, from the latest pack?

I think it is fine, mostly. Would they recognize the sim as themselves just by the approximate appearance if they saw the pics "in the public" here? Would they be hurt if so? Would anyone else identify the sims? Would they actually care if they did? Highly unlikely, I think. It's not like sim pictures are realistic fakes presented as actual photos... and there are probably thousands of people very similar to any sim. I feel like the situation is a bit different for celebrities, whose appearance is a "public thing" and it sort of goes with the job, and for people who upload their SimSelves. It goes without saying that what you do privately in your game is your business entirely.

 

That all being said I also feel Nelandros makes a very solid point here:

@mrrakkonn, those three girls remind me to this kind of highschool movies, where you always have three "bad girls" in. They look dangerous, especially the one in the middle does.

It is, but specifically here I'm using a separated top CC version, it may or may not require the pack to use. The skirt is from this pack

Thank you, and yeah I can see what you're getting from them. I think the middle and right-hand girl already look pretty close to finished as far as their face appearance goes, very happy with how they turned out, especially middle girl, who I only spent about an hour creating actually. There's something about the left girl (tall, brown hair) that I'm not quite happy with, it's hard to put my finger on, but she's going to need some more work before I'm happy with her.

As you all may have guessed, Rebecca's wife Wendy embraced vampirism. She didn't do it for power, fame, or intimidation. She did it for her daughter. So I was browsing Mod the Sims earlier, and I discovered that some absolute fucking Chad made this masterpiece:

Mike's little sister Danielle has completed Top Notch Toddler and aged up.  No weirdness with her eyes, she has Dad's... I guess you'd call it blue... eyes.  But she did have brown hair and blonde eyebrows, so the game was a bit confused there.  I made her blonde.

 

 

And Tabitha and Alistair finally got high enough Rock Climbing skill to climb Mt Komorebi.  I could have sworn I got a screenshot of them building a snowpal at the summit, but I can't find it.  So I have to settle for the shots inside the lodge I downloaded.

Nothing better than relaxing in the sauna after the long, cold trek up.
