Or something. Not saying you didn't follow directions, just commenting on what the result looks like. AAF has it's own strip xml. When polistro was working on the Leito patches he made his xml because AAF didn't strip super mutants at all. So he made that xml to just grab everything. If yours isn't doing that, something is wrong. Unfortunately I'm not so knowledgeable that I can just look at an error and just KNOW what's wrong. I get ideas and try 'em. Mine is working on those files tho. I install like this: Make sure Looksmenu is installed and working. Install AAF. Then animations. Then compatibility patch. Then Polistro's patches. Then dependencies for animation packs. I can't imagine why it would work on mine but not yours. All I can think is something got missed. I know I screw mine up all the time and I've been using AAF for a while now. I'm reading this and it doesn't sound all that helpful. Just try to get an idea of things to try I guess. I know Polistro installs his patches before the compatibility patch. Maybe try that? Play with it. You learn more each fuck up. At least, that's how I learn. I got a save folder full of borked saves.

The only thing I can think of is that I had installed Four Play before, but then never used it and mostly forgot about it. I did use the 4P patches while installing AAF, but maybe I need to also reinstall 4P. If I do end up going that route, should I disable/delete the Four Play .esps, or should I leave them on, and if they're on, are they higher or lower than AAF in the load order?

On my already running Save and CHaracter it worked, i also could open the Menu with Pos1 (Home) Button, but on a complete new Save it didd'nt occour. Well, nevermind, now it works! =^..^= Thanks for your Help!

Thndrwlkr Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 Ok. So I have finished the first round of armor testing on a clean, 'basic' set up. I call it 'basic' because I set a decently high benchmark prior to installing the animation system. personal basic load order.txt These mods are those which I (personally) consider to be the absolute minimum I will play with. As can be seen, they are predominantly Workshop, Character creation and ambient texture overhauls. If a mod won't work with these, I don't need that mod. With this load order, I started a new run, female, using FSM Fantasy Body Nude preset and CBBEVaginaMorphPhysics, with FSM's Base Texture (no Unique Player installed). I completed the Vault, exited, and saved. Then I installed the animation set up shown here AAF load order.txt . The physical installation went Crazy Animation, Crazy Gun, Fourplay animations by Crazy, Leito FO4 Rigs, Leito animation (here I added the voice addon, but not necessary), Atomic Lust, Mutated Lust, Rugft's Animations, then Farrelle's pack (this was a manual installation). Once those packs were in, I installed the Alpha 79 build of AAF, followed by Savage Cabbage's pack (because it will NOT install if AAF is not present). I am one of those that has to edit Savage's SavageCabbage_furnitureData_DLC4 file for capitalization, so I did this now. Checked all dependencies as installed before adding the latest AAF compatibility and AAF leito/crazy patches (added fourplay Proxy via the AAF compat patch, not the old individual), and Nudesuits (no DoF or DoF patch). LOOT sorted out the load order posted above, and from there I loaded up the game and tested vanilla armor. AAF was flawless with a 106 mod load. From there, I tested replacers (2Pac's, Lazman's, Cait's Corset Change, and Slooty Grognak Replacer...I left these last three installed before testing other mods, as I also consider them deal breakers), which presented something like negative three problems. The list is long from here, so I will note any issues found next to them. Each Mod was Tested SOLO, as in I installed no other mods besides the AAF load order and the last three mods mentioned above. All armors/outfits were introduced through console, Vault suit was removed (I manually remove it just to make sure) and new outfit equipped. Again, in console, I used 'tdetect', then fast traveled to a)Breakheart Banks (best spot to test Farrelle's pack), b) Hangman's Alley, and then c)Boston Public LIbrary (ghouls hang out outside). Tested armor/outfits in each location...noted any problems, exited game, investigated reasons in FO4Edit, uninstalled the mod, moved on to the next, repeat ad nauseum. Only one mod failed at this level, and that was Bikinis-Bathing Suits-Intimate Apparel (Ans_apparel). Only body slot 33 would strip. It is possible there could have been an error in the install or Bodyslide build, but it behaved exactly like it did before I stripped down to basic game files and rebuilt, so it is right out for me. The rest went as follows: Lacy Underwear (the single full set is fine, but the modular pieces use CK_biped slots 61 and 58 for bra and panties respectively, so they will not strip) Sporty Underwear (exactly the same issues as noted with Lacy Underwear) Absolutely Skimpy Attire had NO issues (Yay! That means I had a massive conflict before) Deathclaw Hunter had NO issues Dicky Pinup ... Bikini top uses CK_biped slot 48, and thus requires being manually added to the AAF xml file by the user. Read the wiki, it isn't hard. Fortaleza Had NO issues with normal version, nor with AE patch installed. French Maid FO4 CBBE Physics ... the Choker (50), panties (54), and skirt (55) are all beyond the standard 30-48 CK_biped slots. Dagobaking would have to opine as to if these would work if added to the xml file. I didn't feel like monkeying with that. HN66EasyGirl had NO issues. Not the 5.01, 5.01B, 5.02 Bodyslide, nor the Physics addon (yes, I tested each freaking one by themselves). Karna Provisioners Gear had NO issues. Prostitute Outfit (EVB CBBE AE AWKCR) had NO issues TERA Rogue had NO issues TERA Nurse ... Hat (46) need be manually added. Panties (54) and Legstrap (58) are beyond standard 30-48 (derpsdale do this a LOT, but I love his work) TERA Castanic ... Bottoms use slot 55 TERA Punk ... this outfit has several pieces using slots higher than 48 TERA Business Casual ... bra (54), panties (58) TERA Pirate ... Hat (46) need be manually added. Cuffs (58) are beyond standard range of 48 Type 2 Mysogi (physics) ... the scarf uses slot 56 ZGC Zilent had NO issues Post Nuclear Girl ... mask uses slot (48) and need be manually added. That is where the list has left off as of now, and it is by no means complete so far. What I learned is that practically every issue I have ever had with stripping has to do with a conflict, so if you are a sucker for punishment, put that load order in and give your outfit/armor mod a fair run. I will update this as I find, install, and play with other mods, and anyone else is more than welcome to contribute. Imma go smoke something and see if I can get my eyes to uncross for a bit.
Drapo Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 so what you are saying is this is one annoying problem and i should just give up

I call it 'basic' because I set a decently high benchmark prior to installing the animation system. ...SHEESH...shedap already... The next step (after checking any other armor sets that strike me fancy...drop a note if you have one you want tested before I move on from this step...already have a couple on the list for Drapo) will be to start stacking armor mods together in the same install and see about switching them between scenes to see if that causes anything odd, then on to adding in things like Unique player and checking that system out, always building on the AAF load order. From there, companion overhauls, and then on to exotic files (commonwealth stormtroopers anyone?). Hopefully by then, FlashyJoe's new RSE build will be released and I can go straight into a relatively free playthrough...fingers crossed.

None of the mods listed worked right for me before, so this is huge. Now I can add mods one at a time until the conflict is revealed.
Durante Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 Solved some of the hiccups by updating FO4. However very often I can't draw weapons after AAF animation ends..

Thndrwlkr Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 After (literally) sixteen hours of slow installing and testing, I managed to make quite a hefty build with no 'natural' errors (user induced errors were another story, will get back to that). The build ended up with a total of 332 mods installed with a 227 (225 active) esp load order Final Test Load.txt . I left the HD textures unticked for testing (because a lot of people don't use it) and Rogg DD Items Manager (because I really don't use it, but some mods need assets from it). This is what I learned. 1. A good, clean install is all but mandatory. 2. READ descriptions on mod's pages. 3. Follow AAF's installation guide to the letter. I would recommend using the installation order I posted earlier as an addendum to that guide, not in lieu of. 4. LOOT works well when sorting (see attached text file) for testing purposes, though I would HIGHLY recommend putting any problematic armor or clothing mods immediately after the installed animations in your load order, manually if necessary. Even with the swamp of scripts this build puts out, AAF stripped flawlessly each and every time, save for when I was looking for ways to 'break' it. 5. Exiting an animation, changing armor/clothing, and toggling up another animation will NOT strip the new armor until the animation is ended, then it will equip the old armor set one had on prior to the first animation. I am not sure what the AAF PC scan setup is, but this is one way to fool it. Even so, this is NOT the fault of the framework, but rather user error, as walking away/fast traveling away, changing armor/clothing, and returning to the area does not produce this problem. 5.5. Carrying too many different types of armor combinations is probably not ideal, but mixing and mashing sets does seem to work fine. Any slot between 33 and 45 was cleared and covered just fine. On one test, I used elements of Dicky's Bombshell, EasyGirl, Absolutely Skimpy Attire, and Deathclaw Hunter together with no errors (save for when I was carrying about 36 other armor pieces at the same time...then it seemed to take a few extra seconds to hear the re-equiping sound effect, but the did load properly). 6. I tested this set up under a very strict procedure, in that I started with the base aaf setup I posted before, and introduced mods one or two at a time (in rare occasions, four, as when a mod had update and/or patch files), LOOT sorted the load order, exited NMM, restarted NMM, launched the game through NMM, loaded a the clean save (vault exit with base AAF setup), consoled in an armor setup, tdetect, tmm 1, fast travel to a location, trigger animation, end animation, toggle pipboy open, load main menu, delete any autosaves (anal, but this way I have NO doubts of leaving any scripts behind) and exit game without making any exit save. I started with non-pc/npc textures (overhauls, bugfixes, et al), any remaining workshop items, armor mods, then weapon mods, gameplay mods (better settlers, Beautiful Female settlers, Diamond city expansion, and so on), unique player and companions redux (and all necessary texture files, body mods), companion mods (overhauls and textures), and finally, any mod that adds items to the player's inventory last (servitron, amazing follower tweaks, etc...). The addition of each mod was launched from exactly the same save game (meaning that the mod introduction into that game were always all at once, growing each with each new test). The load order posted is tested satisfactory (for me, on my rig...i3 3.70 GHz, 12gb ram, GTX 1050 2gb on HDMI 23es monitor), and the installation procedure I outlined did NOT produce any conflicts in the tests. 7. Last step remaining is to begin a playthrough (probably on 'normal' so I can play around a little more with animations) and test cohabitation in a game setting (using Combat strip lite in conjunction with AAF, for example). If you are having problems with AAF stripping, it is very highly probable that you have a borked installation somewhere. After cleaning up my morass and following a clean activation procedure in NMM (no reinstalling mods unless I had a doubt after checking the mod author's pages...only ticking them active), I not only have no issues so far, but the game actually runs a LOT smoother, and the only time I noticed anything odd were the alignment issues with Leito's pack (I think it requires Vinfamy in order to make adjustments, and I put none of his mods in for this run). I cannot opine on anything fourplay in regards to this setup, as it is in preparation for Flashy's pending release, and though Combat Strip Lite is installed, I have yet to actually test it (tdetect prevents that kind of event from triggering, and I didn't want to keep toggling the console while testing), so please don't assume it actually works correctly based on what I am posting. 2
Thndrwlkr Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Also...I have not tested my Jane Bod build, nor a male build as of yet. Jane Bod changes just about everything in Bodyslide, and that was a headache I did not want right now (but definitely will later), and it is all but certain that my maiden voyage in the new RSE will be as a male pc, so I will consider that the test for a Nate. Edit: perhaps not...just remembered that Batman (a.k.a. @fedim ) already released the aaf_fpe mod and config...gonna have a Nora make some babies first...lol.
dagobaking Posted July 13, 2018 Author Posted July 13, 2018 Thank you for doing this thorough testing and sharing the results!

GreenV Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Hellooo Dagobaking, Well yesterday I've made some testing about my skinned pipboy problem... so here is my solution : In the setting.xml I've just changed the range for the PC character from 0 to 43 to 0 to 29 (30 adding the pibboy stuff). So far after three tested animations in a row, I've still my skinned pipboy and all my gear and weapons are still in my inventory . But well, have you some thought about my change ? Looking now for my keyboard problem ...

Thank you for reporting. That is pretty much to be expected. You can change the range to suit your needs with the pipboy. But, then that will also break transferring some equipment that other people use. So, it needs to be something that people can adjust for their game.
pimpn3z317 Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 ok not sure if asked or not but can this run with RSE? will it run with fourplay and its mods for it? also will this work with some of vinfamys animated fannies detailed vag and dynamic bodies mod? also looksmenue how do I get to that or is that a mod that allows for body sliders in game and something I cant get too.
hancock66 Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 I am getting an error that says the AAF API is not detected. My install order: Animations (except Savage Cabbage until after AAF) AAF AAF Compatibility Patch Leito/Crazy Compatibility Patch (FOMOD) Savage Cabbage animations AAF FPE AAF RSE AAF is at top of load order while everything else is just above Scrap Everything at the very bottom.
