It sounds like there is some scripting that happens on equip or unequip with that item. So, that could be thrown off by the AAF body double system. Not much that I can do about it since the body double system is vital to the animations working right. For the cant find actor error, I am just looking for a set of steps I can take to re-create it every time so that I can troubleshoot it.

But, many of them probably would work on a flat surface like a bed. I thought as well, but i'm not familiar with meddling on XML so i rather leave it like that. I've tried to use with my character top of beds a few times and the animation aways get out of position, on the edge of the bed. Thankies for the quick response. ❤️

I install AAF then Savages animations then the AAF Patch making sure that the Four play proxy box is checked, then Polistiro's AAF patches. I then go into my NMM plugin load order list and move Four Play .esp up to just below my .ESLs usually just below CBBE. then exit out. then go into my Fallout 4/Data/AAF folder to the AAF Settings and do some adjustments there, Save then exit the fire up the game and start a NEW Character. Also DON"T check the welcome box your self. the only time I had it checked on it's own was when I had Four Play installed. I know there will be some one saying I'm either missing something or doing it wrong but Savages animations require AAF first to be installed before it will install at least for me. Thank you very much Badtanker after I got the F4SE and MCM and Looksmenu updated today I followed your instructions and made it out of the vault with AAF installed. But, another possibility is that those armors use slots that AAF is not configured to equip/unequip by default. So, this might be fixable with some XML changes. But, you need to learn a little more about the specific armor to know. Thanks for the information...it could be the slots. I don't believe scripts are involved, I hope not anyway.

Leito Animations work on the ground as well as on a bed (that said, you need to establish a suitable place for your activities first), and it's not dependent on AAF, but it is compatible.

In the swamp of Bethesda forced changes, I don't update F4SE until all the mods I use are updated. I am guessing this AAF build can not be used on the old build? Which means I am stuck on old AAF until all the other plugins are updated... I need a spreadsheet...

I need a spreadsheet... according to bethesda's logic, if you want to add more CC mods then you must have a newer version of the base game thus making existing mods incompatible. i feel ya', i had to uninstall in-game esp explorer and transfer settlements.

When i launch fallout i get this message but the home button doesnt do anything, the second picture is what showed up debug mode on. EDIT: When i press F11 the "AAF ERROR" message shows up (see the picture)

The second picture is normal and content instructions (only at the first launch) The first screenshot don't display any issue. The third picture show you don't have any animations for two females installed. Edit settings xml to ignore genders For me, you need to test before any edits if aaf works for your installed animation, try with male / female actors. If you encounter problems with home key you can try to assign an other one (use http://unixpapa.com/js/testkey.html it will show you key number to put in xml)

You can install FO4 Hotkeys and toggle the HUD on and off with a keypress. And if you equip an actor with Invisible Knuckles, even if they take out their weapon you won't see it. Cycling from animation to animation does cause weird things to happen. I've learned to just accept it, hit End, and go on back through the menu again. Ditto for the undressing. I wish there were a way to specify per instance of animation whether you want clothes on or off rather than a blanket setting for everything. Like select actor--> select ground--> select animation--> select undress option.

Looksmenu, presumably in line with the game engine requirements, requires that overlay templates be for one gender or another. You can set up overlays for any gender and they should work with AAF the same.
