If you're trying to install mods or reinstall mods on an already running save, that's like mistake #1 and a big no-no. 

Reinstall your mods, Follow Saya's guide (IF you're lookin for an adult playthru) and start a brand new save with your load order locked in.

Yeah...just a shame as I wasn't quite done with that playthrough and it's a shame to lose it in such a fashion.  

I'm currently going through the re-install after the purge, making sure to follow the instructions to the letter.  

Incidentally I'm at the point where I'm installing the bodies - BodyTalk and FusionGirl.

Can you elaborate on "doesn't load again?" The looping crash/restart I got was accompanied by the rapidly increasing debug error message about Papyrus array size, which I thought was where you had last ended up.


After purging Fallout 4 and all the mods from my PC, re-installing the game, re-installing the basics for AAF using this guide carefully, I now apparently have a working AAF! 

New game started, all installation pop-ups / notifications fired off and AAF opens and works normally when Home is pressed. I've never seen my debug menu so empty! 

Now I just need to install things like DD RC9, the animation packs, my other mods...maybe tomorrow!

Here a long shot, but I'll try it anyway. 

 

I really love it when the character has dialogues during some scenes. Is there any way I can request AAF to use a Doppelganger instead of the player? 

 

Because my character constantly turns to those having dialogue, breaking the flow of the scene. I know how I could stop this. By unchecking “Speak Camera Target” in scene, but that makes the dialogue unskipable. And if I uncheck it, then I can't run my static cameras (👇). Without these static cameras, you won't see the subtitles.

I would also like to ask again to be able to unpack the tag used, in a OnSceneInit Event. I have an accessory (a buttplug) that can only be unequipped at the start of the scene if the scene has Anal tag. But right now there is no way to get the tag at OnSceneInit event, only OnSceneEnd. 

 

I'm using the AAF Wiki documentation.

I have removed from my list of mods, idle poses and head tracking mods. There were no more problems. We just need a new platform for mods and it should be a fallout without vanilla. Unfortunately, I couldn't launch the new version of aaf. I guess I have a conflict with step-by-step animations and I'm not ready to sacrifice them.

Well, I managed to get around my first snag 😀 I made my own doppelganger and will use it when I use scenes with dialogue.

I will look into a way to prevent the character from turning to face the speaker during scenes.  The Doppelganger actor base record still exists in AAF but all the code to create it, synchronize the player's equipment / morphs / overlays / etc with it has been removed.

Just a word of caution for the future, any and all mods that create files, you'll have to manually handle when changing profiles, adding/removing mods, etc. Those files will always stay even if you change profiles in Vortex or purge your mods.

 

Considering the persistent issues you were having, it seems like you may have had something left that was messing with everything else.

 

I know you're probably tired from trying to fix this all week and want to just enjoy your weekend with FO4 working now with mods but the next time you have some free time on your hands, try out MO2.

I got that feeling too, hence the purge.  

 

After installing a bunch of mods last night I got the same boot/loop error with AAF again so I disabled everything I hadn't already installed before the issue re-appeared and it seemed to fix it.  Now I have to go through and enable each one at a time and see what causes the problem.

If I delete the offset of this series of kissing animations, (NukaRide_AnimationData_Rufg) the new AAF starts normally. But this offset is important x(The guy has 1.10 scale so the girl must have offset). Where should I put it?

Does the animation look ok with this fix? Isn't 1 offset taken as global and applied to both actors?

Earlier in this animation the female offset was “0,0,28,0”, the male offset you didn't specify but technically it was “0,0,0,0”.

So the correct way to specify the offset is like this:

I think I found the culprit, for me at least.

 

As I said before, after the purge and re-installation of the minimum requirements (all up to latest AAF but no animation packs) the game loaded fine with no bouncy "[AAF" load / loop fails.  

 

Adding the animation packs and UAP also didn't create a problem, although one of them is making the admin menu spam "Edge150s not found errors" over and over.

 

Then, because it was gone midnight and I was a little drunk, I added most of the mods I had before and one or two new ones and loaded a new game, triggering the issue again.  So I disabled them all again and, after some sleep and even more some coffee, I went through enabling mods one or two at a time and loading a new game.

 

When I installed Visible Companions Affinity the game chugged wile the "X has installed / initialised" messages were cycling and once they were eventually done I got the "[AAF" flail / boot-reboot loop.  Disabling VCA made it all better again.  Thinking it might be a conflict with SEU (successful flirts using that system raise companion affinity) I disabled SEU and re-enabled VCA but ran into the issue again.  

 

Now I have all current downloaded mods (haven't bothered with SH or voice packs as I will play a male character for my next game) bar VCA active and all seems well.  I still need to test if scenes actually work (they better after all this faff!) but it seems that VCA does not play well with the latest AAF at all!

On a more related note, is the right hand supposed to be like that? Looks like the thumb is on the bottom of his right hand.

Do you see the #rules channel? Read the rules in there and then "react" to the last post in that channel by clicking on the mushroom cloud emoji directly under it. If you don't see that icon, it's possible you have disabled emoji reactions in your Discord account settings, so turn that back on and check the post again. When you click the mushroom cloud the number next to it should increase by one and then other channels are supposed to appear. Open the #aaf_public_release channel and download the latest version of the mod from there.

AAF is not a sex mod. It has never been hosted on LoversLab. Create a Discord account if you want to download AAF. You'll need that account later if you want to get support for using AAF, since the AAF Discord is the primary support outlet for it.

@EgoBallistic, this is what I was telling you about how sometimes one of the two actors remains invisible in the scene. I have managed to reproduce it with the player. I haven't changed my camera perspective, but the game turns the player invisible because of the camera angle.

I've also had several occurrences of this with the player character while playtesting over the past few days. It was some of Savage Cabbage's recent additions, a set of super mutant and human female positions using an umbrella table as furniture. On each occasion, the super mutant was visible but the player was not, for the duration of the scene.

The first few times also happened in scenes with furnitures, yeah. 

 

Another thing that has happened on two ocassions, but I can't reproduce it yet, it is that my character gets stuck after a scene. I try to move her with tcl without success, I tried also COC her and after a loading screen she is still in the same place. 

 

There were no scenes with furniture involved, but there were scenes in enclosed places with objects such as chairs and desks around (typical raider base).
