Hi! I think AAF currently has a kind of feature module called "Attraction qualities", which, at the start of a game, randomly gives each NPC (humans only?, I don't know), a series of values (preferences) based on the vanilla special values, like charisma, strength, etc., which can be used by other mods, to modify the behavior of NPCs, correct me if I'm wrong. (At the moment, I don't think there is any mod that uses it in the AAF-FO4 scene)

If I remember correctly, there is a mod for Skyrim that does something similar, but the assigned values can be edited in a text file and can be assigned to the NPCs you want, thus creating a kind of "personality".

That said, I have a couple of ideas/requests for the AAF developers, if they see fit to use them, obviously.

-1- Could something similar be implemented in AAF in the future? That you could choose the "personality" of NPCs at will?

-2- Could some other attraction qualities be added, apart from the vanilla ones, that would be a bit more fun or crazy, like "Breast size" or "Penis size" etc., or something similar?

Nobody needs to answer, I'll leave it there, and sorry for the length
Thanks for reading

Hello guys. Does the latest version of AAF work with 1.10.163? If not, is there a download link for AAF 171?

AAF 1.0 works with 1.10.163 and 1.10.984

You are wrong. AAF 1.0 package has its own copy of the modified LLFP, not the original LLFP that can be found on the page you mentioned. AAF doesn't work with the original LLFP plugin.

The list of functions that were added in AAF's version of LLFP can easily be extracted from Papyrus logs when you replace LL_fourPlay_1_10_163.dll/LL_fourPlay_1_10_984.dll by corresponding file from the original LLFP page.

Apologies, I was indeed wrong. AAF 1.0 uses LLFP v51, it was AAF 172.0 NG which used LLFP v50. Thanks for the correction!

Windows Defender reports this 7z archive as a malware ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/malware-encyclopedia-description?name=Trojan%3AWin32%2FSuspExecRep.A!cl&threatid=2147900216 )

I guess it is false positive detection, but dagoba's rules doesn't allow publishing of a link to scan results. You can scan it by yourself, if you want at https://www.virustotal.com/

Use at your own risk.

Dont put too much faith in Windows Defender ... lol 😆

Yes. AAF has that feature. And yes, it's possible to implement the same feature with definable personalities and switching capability. It's not a huge lift. But, not a trivial amount of work. So, I would want to see evidence that someone would make a mod connected to it before diving in (rather than putting that effort toward other improvements).

I do really like that type of mod because it connects animation experiences better with game activities (learning NPC personalities, etc).

Are you interested in making this mod?

I understand you perfectly. We have to optimize the time we have and the work to be done.

Me, publishing a mod? I will never dare. That is a very serious thing. But I do love tinkering and adjusting things in the game and mods to my ideas and concepts, for fun and to learn, so I cannot ask for such an effort.

As I already mentioned in the previous message, I share your taste for the small details that enrich the experience.

Returning to the mod, perhaps if a small door could be left open to those details, someone with more courage than me could make such a mod. It is in your hands ( and in your available time)

Thank you for your kindness and interest, and for your work, of course

Edit:

By the way, I don't know if you remember, some time ago I asked you if in AAF there was the possibility, when undressing a garment, if it could be exchanged for the "same" one but in another position, for example (ehem): "Thong in place - Thong lowered between the legs" Is that possibility in AAF 1?

Thanks you for your time

I think @guliguliradish may have been working on a solution for that.

Thanks for your reply, Vaultbait. What would we do without you? 😉

Does that mean it's implemented in AAF, or has it been attempted externally, in XML? The last time I tried, a while ago, in XML, with what was available in AAF (I don't remember the version), I didn't succeed (as usual)

I don't recall the details or where the discussion occurred, hoping they'll be able to recap the specifics. The idea though, as I understand it, was for supporting outfits with multiple annotated variations so that at animation start an undamaged shirt could be swapped to a torn version, a skirt could be hiked up, etc.

I've sort of mimicked that in the past by simply equipping torn clothing underneath normal clothes and then flagging the torn ones as protected equipment so that AAF won't strip them, though it was a bit hacky and limited in what you could do that way.

AAF supports an EquipmentLayers XML which can be used for this purpose.

It looks like this:

<equipmentLayersData xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="aaf.xsd">
    <defaults loadPriority="-1"/>
    <slot id="33">
        <layer equipmentSet="thong_underwear"/>
        <layer equipmentSet="thong_lowered"/>
    </slot>
</equipmentLayersData>

Basically you define a slot and layers under the normal equipment in that slot.  In the above case, if the body slot equipment (slot 33) is removed, the thong_underwear equipment set is applied.  Then if slot 33 is removed again, the thong_lowered equipment set is applied.

Oh! 😱🤩

Impressive! Thanks a lot!

(more work to do...)

Edit: It's a pitty I can't go in and see it, I'm not an official modder. But it's okay.

You can ask for access on the Discord.

Yes. Absolutely. The door is very much open for that type of expansion. I've always wanted to expand that area. It just doesn't end up making sense to do if content authors don't have the same interest. So, I've been waiting to see if anyone does anything with the initial attraction features. If any mod author is interested in working on those features I would be happy to go over it with them and coordinate expanding that area. Any time!

It's sad that it's now seen to require courage to release a mod. It shouldn't be that way. But, I have to admit that it is...

Yes. That feature is implemented (see below for a clarification). It has been there for many versions now (year or two?). But, it does require content authors to utilize it.

Features like that tend to fly under the radar until someone makes the first use of it. I'm hopeful that someone will pick that up and more will follow after as I think it would add a lot to the experience.

It's actually customEquipmentData that does the state swapping. It listens for tags that can change clothes/equipment state based on the animation playing.

EquipmentLayers is more for getting around the limitations of Bethesda's equipment slot system. It allows defining equipment that gets auto-equipped when other equipment is removed. For example, it allows creating an underwear layer. It can also be used for body parts/features that should be hidden until equipment is removed (ie. 3D body hair, hidden tail, etc).

Hi, Is there a fee to use this mode? I entered the Discord channel but could not find any download link. I would be happy if you help.

There is no fee.  Just go to the Rules channel on the Discord and click on the little nuclear explosion icon below the last post.  That will allow you to access the other channels.  The AAF download will be in the aaf_public_release channel.

So, I'm not seeing any icon to click in the rules channel on Discord. I'm sure I'm missing something, but I've read everything there a couple times now and no idea what I'm missing.

Do you see the #rules channel? Read the rules in there and then "react" to the last post in that channel by clicking on the mushroom cloud emoji directly under it. If you don't see that icon, it's possible you have disabled emoji reactions in your Discord account settings, so turn that back on and check the post again. When you click the mushroom cloud the number next to it should increase by one and then other channels are supposed to appear. Open the #aaf_public_release channel and download the latest version of the mod from there.
