I am getting better at fixing things in files that use to scare me off. 

 

Does using SEU vs the default Home button lessen the animation choices through AAF? I ask because I was told during my SEU sex, that punching Home button, then Page Up/Page Down keys can change animations mid stream. I found it limited to about 12 choices, mostly Leitos'. (Female/Female).

 

How does AAF compute which animation it might use during sex? Is there some type of logarithm use?. Can I tag certain animations to play more frequent than others? 

 

The more I know keeps me from pestering you all over the silly, fixable stuff.

Things are working, but it seems there are only a limited number of sex positions being used by AAF. Leitos runs 70% of the time, but my Home menu only shows 12 positions to be able to change up. If I kill Leitos animations, that list drops mostly to 5. There are no run errors to sort, but AAF is only recognising a handful of available animations. Atomic Lust seems to be a bugaboo waiting to happen, always. If I am not getting (missing spanking position) errors for this, it is then no beds being recognised. If I kill the mod, animations will not run. If I kkep the mod, seems to be overiding everything else. If it is not Leitos, then the rest are AL.

It computes which animations to play based on the characters that have been selected and the locations available nearby. So, if you select 2 females it will filter the list of installed animations so that only ones that are valid for 2 females are possible. Then it searches for locations (including the ground if no furniture that uses animations are nearby).

 

If you use something like SEU, it will choose randomly from these same lists (first, which location (furniture) to use and second, which valid animation to use). If you use the wizard (pressing home key) it will list out these options for you to select.

 

When pressing pageup/pagedown during animations it cycles through the list of valid animations. So, you can't navigate from an animation working for 2 females to one that only works with 1 male and 1 female.

I'm not sure why Leito's animations wouldn't run if you remove Atomic Lust. Sounds like something is messed up there.

I was not clearer, sorry. Leitos animations run most of the time and when its' animations do not, then Atomics' kick in. Almost no other mods' animation will be chosen for the same setup. Those times I have tried to delete Atomic, I get an error code about no spanking option, which disappears and my sex dialogue will be noted, but the animations will not start. And so, for whatever reason, I stay stuck to Atomic. I am more concerned about the lack of in game sex choices that are not being represented for the other packs I use. ...Example: I load up Leitos and Atomic, for 2 females, I will get 12 choices for positions. If I run Savage Cabbage and Atomic, my choices go down to 6. Or BP70 and Atomic, same. Also, most of these offer 2 female with male threesome, yet this animation will not fire. Folks just sit there. Not a gathering delay. I have waited past AAF kill scene default time..I know that AAF works. Has to be something in the code for these packages that say, "Do not pick me"...I can open most of these animations up, but what command would I be looking for? I have started new games, have reinstalled these mods any number of times, trying to resolve this....Thanks..

 

FIGURED IT OUT BY CHECKING THE GUTS OF NEAR EVERY ANIMATION. 90% TAGGED M/F.. THAT LEAVES ALL OF ABOUT 12 ACTUAL F/F TAGS, 1/2 WITH LEITOS..

Yeah.

 

I think the problem is that animators aren't always coders. So, they often don't want to have to mess around with XML files for their releases. As a consequence, they don't always create all the XML needed or keep it up to date.

 

On the other hand, there are actually quite a few people that don't mind working on the XML. So, maybe a solution to this obstacle would be for animators to team up with XML authors to handle that part for them?

 

@fedim made a nice AAF XML creation tool. But, it may need to be updated for latest XML structure, etc.

You don't have the patch for Leito's and Crazy's from Polistro, do you?

Cause the no_furn stuff alone has like 14 F/F anims in it from Leito's pack.

Hey! First of all great mod! whitout hard work like yours the mod community would have a pretty flat game in terms of content, thank you!

 

 

 

But i also have a small question. how i can view the animmations in 3 person? 

whenever i try to use either the showers of CWSS, or play any animation of MCG (masturbation included) the camera goes in 1 person mode and i cant see anything.  How i can fix this?

I just started playing FO4 and AAF is critical to my game.  I have one question about it though.  I use Fusion Girl female body for female followers but during animations it uses a nude vanilla body with no defined girly bits as you would expect from Fusion GIrl bodies.  What am I missing?  The bodies are shaped properly during animations but the vaginal area is a smooth smudge.  Thanks for any help in advance.

Sounds like you may have an old version of LLFP over-writing the updated version that is packaged with AAF.

AAF doesn't really make modifications to NPC actors (the PC is a different story). So, this would seem to be some kind of issue with how you've installed the body, textures, etc.

So, i should re-install AAF and let it overwrite everything else? Or is something about MCG?

Also, what is LLFP?

LLFP is the plugin that allows code to start 3rd party camera. It is packaged with AAF. But, sometimes modders have installed it separately.

 

If that is the case, making sure AAF files aren't over-written could help. Yes.

Sorry if i look dumb (i am) but should i let the AAF  from Nexus overwrite everything? Or any of this ones can overwrite AAF? (all of these are from MCG)image.png.447e5158cc1f2180d53791b1dc9df861.png

Those can over-write AAF files. I think they may need to over-write 1 or 2 default XML to work right. None of those come with LLFP. So, that wouldn't be the issue there.

Well Sir, I am sorry if this seems rude but...you deserve to loose your time instead of playing, since you didn't follow instructions and apparently you installed the MCG SOURCE FILES that contains scripts to compile MCG scripts for modders that don't use AAF.

 

It's written and I recommended several time in mod description to not use that loose files. Normal users like you should use the mod packed as ba2, as instructed. Or not use the mod at all, which could be better in your case.

AAF is working great.  I am able to have sex with ferals without using Mutant Lust but any of my feral retextures are being overidden by the default feral in the different animations packs. How have you folks worked that out and is Mutant Lust the only way to get their dongs erect. Dogs work fine as well as humans..Super Mutants need a fix also..Thanks

I think those are questions for the various texture/body/animation mods. I couldn't say what the solutions are.

Not sure about the fix for ghouls as I don't use them but your fix for super mutants is in the AAF Compatibility Patch. Take the 2 files (super mutant .nif- super mutant .tri) from the EVB Male Body SMutant folder and copy them into your Fallout 4/data/meshes/actors/supermutant/characterassests folder.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but if youre saying that it isn't up long enough to see and when your game is fully loaded there is no text left on your screen, then generally this means you are good to go. When AAF is installed correctly there wont be any text left on screen which is what you want, and if there was a error left on screen it means AAF didn't fully install correctly which is what you don't want. So the fact that its gone shouldn't be a issue and if theres no text left on screen AAF should be fine and I wouldn't worry about it.

 

Now if it is working okay and you can pull up the AAF wizard (Home key) then all you have to do is hit the delete button once to go into administration mode and then you can look to see what errors you have if any.

I took a screen shot as it past, and for the most part my i have no problems with aaf.

Ok gotcha. This will clear up that error. Just overwrite when/if asked.

Hi. First of all, I'd like to say that I'm new in this forum so I might be posting this on the wrong place but I'm experiencing some troubles with AAF. I've followed many posts here telling me how to install AAF, I've even followed the guide on Google Docs, followed the instructions on the download page, searched everywhere but AAF still doesn't work. I have many other mods working already, I used Vortex but then I switched to MO2, tryed many load orders, specially the one on the guide on Google Docs I previously referred to.

 

Previously, I used to go to the 'Mods' tab on the Fallout 4 menu and AAF wasn't there but now it is there, and it has the "check" icon so it's supposed to be installed and working. However, when I enter the game I press the 'Home' key and nothing happens. And yes, F4SE is correctly installed since many other mods are correctly working, MCM for example is perfectly fine, I have an animations mod also working because it appears on MCM, I even have Shino's poses working (already tested with command lines), also it is a recent version of F4SE, I have been trying to use AAF for 3 days now and that was when I last updated F4SE.

 

Need help. Thank you

You have two options for this:

 

Open the admin section within the AAF gui and you can see errors listed there.

 

Or, you can turn debug mode on and see the errors listed in the AAF log.

 

Typically, if the bootup text goes away, the errors are not AAF-stopping. They usually mean that some add-on mod won't work or a warning that you are missing some optional content, etc.

Sounds like you should try using the GFV tool available on discord (link in my signature) to verify basic setup.

So, I did as you said, went to the Discord on the tools channel downloaded GFV, I saw in there that if I was using MO2 I should use it to run the tool, I was not entirelly sure how to do it because I literally started using MO2 yesterday but I think I managed to do it, I pretty much went to MO2, added an executable just like the F4SE, Fallout 4, etc... I set it to run GFV, then I selected it through there and pressed the 'Run' button. I think it worked just fine, it executed the tool.

 

I'm not sure I'm seeing any error/bug appart from the version of AAF, I installed 78.0Beta while it says 73.0Beta, not sure if this could be the issue though.

I would guess those "orange" texts would be the issues but all of them are related to the DLCs which are not required for AAF.

Appart from that, the only issue is the Creation Club Content where it says Preloaded, I'm guessing this is related to one of the tabs on the main menu however I never really used it so I honestly don't even know what it does.

 

I also attached a print of my MO2 and the GFV screens so it can you can see what I'm seeing because I'm not sure there is any problem here.

This can also be an issue but my keyboard isn't english but it's very similar, same keys just in different places and some extra keys but I have tried to use the mod with my Windows 10 keyboard set to my language as well as English which allows my keyboard to act as an English keyboard would but the Home key is in the same place on both my language and english and they are mapped the same so I don't really think this would affect much (and it didn't work anyway so...)

 

Anyways, hoping for a solution.
